I sat on the 2nd ring upstairs. Those seats are very uncomfortable. Besides,i am tall and still while sitting straight the metal bar is in the middle of my vision. The show itself was fantastic,but i sat on football stadiums more comfortably than this. Anyway ,not for people with bad knees and back.
Another thing were the subtitles. Too small ,too far ,not effective

Great experience! We see "Phantom of the Opera" which is an impressive Production with great Music and impressive Acting and production design! The Raimund Theater for itself is great setting for a show like this! Be aware the seat space is a little small if you are tall

Sehr freundliches Personal, und ich glaub Sie stopfen seit corona weniger Leute rein (sehr positiv) es war zum sitzen mehr Platz als ich dachte , links von der Technik leider keine gute Sicht auf die rechte Seite der Bühne, die Sessel sind leider sehr unbequem und durch die Klimaanlage hat es sehr gezogen,

The facilities are quite simple, but the show (the Phantom of the Opera) was just amazing!!! One of the best shows ever!

Wir waren vor der Aufführung im Beisl essen, ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen. Wir hatten Käsespätzle und überbackene Schinkenfleckerl - beides absolut geschmacklos, die Cevapcici steinhart und trocken, Fleisch undefinierbar, Salat größtenteils aus der Dose und die frischen Salaten auch schon länger gestanden, Linsen naja, wenn man Wurzelgemüse mag. Ich habe einige Woche vor der Aufführung angerufen und wollte einen Tisch reservieren um vorher zu essen. Es wurde mir erklärt, dass Tischreservierungen erst ab 5 Personen möglich sind und im Saal nur Snacks angeboten werden. Daher haben wir einen Tisch im Beisl reserviert. Als wir dann 40 Minuten vor der Aufführung in den Saal kamen mussten wir feststellen, dass fast alle Tische reserviert waren - auch für weniger als 5 Personen - und fast alle Gäste im Saal gegessen haben. Wir waren zu viert - wir hatten dies als Weihnachtsgeschenk besorgt - und saßen alle 4 im Saal verstreut, dadurch ein sehr "angenehmer" Abend.
Omar Sarsam war einfach toll, wenigst etwas.

Jedesmal, wenn ich im Orpheum bin fühle ich mich sehr wohl. Man wird herzlich empfangen, die Tische stehen so, dass man keine Platzangst bekommt. Das kulinarische Angebot verleitet mich jedesmal etwas zu probieren,..... und alles war immer gut!

Wir waren vor 2 Wochen im Kabarett. Davor haben wir im Lokal gegessen. Wenn man das macht, bekommt man im Saal einen Tisch reserviert.
Das gesamte Personal war top. Sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Preis - Leistung ist passend.
Ich war zum ersten Mal dort, hätte ich nicht erwartet.

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal! Wir waren hier vor dem Auftritt von Toxische Pommes. Der Service und das Essen waren top! Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal herkommen.

Good one but we got confused with the theatre and arrived in another first, very strange web site that is from another theatre that allows you to buy tickets for this one without letting you know. The hall is big though and the acoustic is good but we also were very surprised because the tickets were the standing ones and you can barely see anything from the cheapest places (half a scene only), so I would not recommend buying those seats at all

We really enjoyed Rebecca! The wonderful stage is constantly changing, excellent live music. I was particularly impressed by the singing of Mrs. Danvers.

We watched Rebecca! The chairs are very comfortable. The musical is amazing! The crew is very talented! The stage is wow! So many scenarios and very rich in Detail und use of technology. We were super happy and had a great night!

Als sehr sonderbar fand ich das, obwohl freie Platzwahl, so gut wie alle Tische reserviert waren. Laut Website könne man ab 5 Personen wenn man im Lokal isst reservieren, und somit auch im Theater. Das dies nicht wirklich so genau gehandhabt wird war offensichtlich. Da alle Karten gleich viel kosten finde ich das nicht in Ordnung.

Very intimate venue with good service and excellent sound.

The story of jazz summer festival 2023 Joi was a joy no doubt, since the unbelievably talented Jazz musicians are not related to the place, I would say that the outside garden is nice, and the sound was very good.

On the less than optimal side, the sitting is not the most comfortable, there are trees in the way of quite a few seats.

Rebecca is a wonderful musical and we have to talk about the stage settings, because it was so brilliant how they changed it in one second from a hotel to a bedroom and to a dining hall.... The staff here are also super nice and speak good English

Really great location for a concert or a show, very friendly staff and a cool atmosphere here! Was an amazong concert we attended and will be back for sure if there are other nice artists playing

Smaller venue which makes the concerts more "personal" than a hall/stadium filled with thousands of people.

An alternative opera house in Vienna, they have some interesting alternative productions. Located in the heart of Naschmarkt it's another place you should visit if you're an opera lover, and also if you're not.

My best opera that i have ever seen was tales of Hofmann at theatre an der Wien. It was in 2013. Its the best opera that i have ever seen. It was suspenseful like a movie thriller where i sat on the edge of my seat in suspense. I have never had such an experience like that in an opera before. It is to date the best opera that i have ever seen. The characters played their parts exceptionally well. After more than 5 years, it's still the best opera in my life.

A beautiful, old intimate theater. It's an A house so the productions are always great quality. I'm performing here, and expect a great experience, if I do say so myself.

Great Show (Rock my Soul) in a nice environment

Fabulous, long-standing Viennese music venue...

Cool location but sound takes to much time to fit the band.

Beautiful building but like many older theatres seat space is restricted, as is the veiw if you are not in the front row of the rings. It was also oppresively hot. We were there for the opening night of William Tell, a fabulous modern adaptation, the sets where impressive and the cast fabulous. However due to our discomfort we had to leave during the interval.

It is a good place for fun. Unfortunately, when I was there, it was allowed to smoke inside. But it was a company night, so i don't know, how it goes as usual.

Für meinen Mann und mich ist es die beliebteste Location, weil es angenehm ist an einem Tisch zu sitzen und sein Getränk zu trinken. Man kann dort auch essen, das haben wir aber noch nicht genutzt. Die Vorstellungen sind allesamt super und wir können das Orpheum einfach nur empfehlen.

Magnificent theater in the center of Vienna with a wonderful red showroom. Golden statues carry the superior balconies... it's very beautiful.

Great, intimate venue, ideal for established and up-and-coming Baroque voices. Their opera in concert programme has been particularly outstanding in recent years. [edit 14 May 2017] Revisited since my review and I had to up one star. I just have the best memories from this place :-)

Beautiful, historic theater located by the Naschmarkt area. The interior is absolutely stunning and worth a peek into. Seats are comfortable but spaced fairly close to each other. During intermission, be sure to take a walk up to the top floors to get a nice overview of the whole hall.

It's a very beautiful Opera house. I went there to see a performance of Fidelio, in May last year.
Even though I don't understand German very well, but since it's an Opera performance, which means that the expressions and movements are exaggerated, I understood the story and I really enjoyed it. I felt very fancy that night :)
