An 8 pack of High Noons here rang up to $30!? This is criminal and I will never return. After reading the reviews, it makes sense that there was no price on the box. Make him show you the checkout screen like these other reviews say if you must go there.
BYO snacks, order takeout, or enjoy the (occasional) onsite food vendor with your draft beer 🍺 Dog friendly, kid friendly, and wheelchair accessible ✅👶🏽♿️🐶. 4oz “taster” pours + 12oz & 16oz options. Paid Parking nearby 🅿️. Cans available to-go. Outdoor, covered beer spot with mostly IPAs + limited cider and cocktail options. You can try before you buy and they have 📺 TVs with sports & movies. But it’s WAAAAY too loud (hence 4 stars) 📢

Hard to locate (next to “Compass Coffee” down the long, outdoor corridor—see photos for help locating)

💰I paid $47 for 4x 4oz taster pours + 2 full beers (including 20% tip)
I had an outstanding experience at this wine shop! The customer service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and remarkable. I must commend Humjot in particular for his exceptional service. He is the epitome of respectfulness and knowledgeability. He has become my go-to supplier, and I now exclusively purchase from this store.

I sincerely hope this shop never goes out of business because I love the service they provide. Keep up the fantastic work!
Best bottle shop ever, when he found out it was my birthday he poured everyone multiple shots and talked us through some great ryes. Made for a great birthday memory!
I was in DC for a couple of days and after a day of sightseeing, was ready to chill and grab some beers. I'm a huge craft beer fan and saw that Other Half's DC location was pretty close to where I was staying. I've had quite a few of their beers and also been to their brewery in Brooklyn, which was boss. This location was equally good. I ended up getting four beers, two NEIPA's, which were both really good and fresh and also two barrel aged beers, one was great, the other not so much. Service was on point and the guy behind the bar was very friendly and accommodating. It is a large space with outdoor seating and there was a quiz going on while I was there. You can also buy beer to take away too.
IYKYK, they’re one of the best in the game. If you think you don’t enjoy beer, try this place out. Their IPAs are always great. The sours, the stouts. All the essentials.
Great spot! They have an awesome selection. Super nice staff. The main guy knows his stuff. But if you don’t get him it’s hard to find stuff. However, I still appreciate that they care and have a nice selection.

This is a comprehensive neighborhood market with a friendly and kind staff. The prices are reasonable and the selection of products broad. It’s always a pleasure to shop here.

I live in the neighborhood and go here at least weekly. Everyone who works there is super nice and the market has saved me countless trips to the grocery store when I’m short on an ingredient or two. Great selection of quick snacks too! Love this place.

This place is absolutely amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable about liquors and offers their recommendations. Also, great customer service.

Really enjoy conversation with the owner and staff. Very , kind, and welcoming people.
Super cool space (I imagine it's packed on the weekends) - a lot of indoor & outdoor places and seems like plenty of room to spread out. The beer was delicious too - great selection of a variety of types and even a NA IPA on draft! Definitely recommend if you like good craft beer 🍺
There's a reason Other Half are turning up in multiple cities; the beer is so good.

We visited on a quiet afternoon and had a great time. The staff were super friendly and obviously the beer is exceptional.

We really liked the neighbourhood vibe.
Great new location to get spirits and your favorite drink choice. Open M- Sat 10am to 12pm great customer service $$.
This location is fabulous!!!! Relatable, convenient and great customer service. It's always a pleasure to stop by this store 💯‼️💯‼️🥰🥰🥰

I went here to get lunch at 1:30pm. Nothing on their website, google page, or storefront indicated that the deli closed earlier than their posted hours. When I arrived I was immediately dismissed with a blunt “the deli closed at 1:00pm”. Why a deli closes right at lunchtime is a mystery. But I don’t recommend this place.
Absolutely fantastic (and huge space) with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Service is expert level and super friendly, which goes a long way given all the great beer options they have. I had the Snowbirds Maple (on-site only) this go around. Just an amazing and smooth pastry stout. That, paired with awesome service and the fun patio/light/mister fans rolling, made for a great visit. And if you’re looking for beer to go, a huge row of cases pretty much has it all. Great to see Other Half rocking it in this DC space for going on 3 years now.
Lots of great selections. Doesn't smell like old refrigerator! Clean and friendly neighborhood liquor store. Shop local 🌷 Highly recommend

I used to like this store! Recently I stopped by to get some asain spices and one of the employees found it necessary to follow me around the store. It wasn’t until I was checking out where he left me alone. Very discriminatory! I lived in the neighborhood for years and a promominent member of this society. I’m also a DC public servant. Never shopping here again. Overall grade:F.

Amazing market. Staying down the road at a Hilton and would rather have my own in-room food. Got protein bars, egg burritos, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Reasonably priced for the convenience and location downtown. Will definitely be back during my trip.
Really cute and small grocery store ♥
My daughter loved exploring all the aisles and checking out what they had to offer. They also had a liquor and beer section which was cool. Prices were a little bit above average, but that's to be expected for the convenience and the location of this store.
Great extension for the NYC brand. Good looking bar, great beers, friendly staff and dog friendly too. There was an Asian food truck on site when we visited, didn’t order anything.

Prices for good food cheaper than what I usually see it go for at the safeways, giants, places like that. Every neighborhood would be richer if they all had a store like this one.

The lady was very nice and kind, I got a egg salad sandwich and it was super good.
I always pick out the best brewery (or top 2-3) when I visit somewhere so I had to come here. I was not disappointed. Excellent selection of styles and very high quality across the board. Layout was nice and spacious. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I’ll likely come back

Great pastrami sandwiches and bubble tea! Would definitely recommend going to if you are looking forward to a nice sandwich and drink for lunch. A must go-to!
Bounce redirected me to this place to store my luggage temporarily. Highly recommend them!

Minimum $5 for CCard is ridiculous in a 2022 post pandemic world. I tried to offer $3 for a $2.50 Gatorade and they still refused the transaction. So much for conveniently exchanging money for cold goods at a profit on an 85° day. Absurd. Raise your prices or add a button to the POS system. Everyone else is doing it.
You're paying for the convenience, but they have a good selection of staple groceries and alcohol. The staff are very friendly, and went above and beyond the last time I was there. I bought a 12pk of glass bottle beer, and just after exiting, one of the handles gave out because I wasn't carrying it properly (one-handed). They replaced it without question, and were even willing to do the clean-up on damaged pack. That was very kind, and I will definitely be back just because of that gesture.

Bardzo słaby wybór piw butelkowanych. Nie polecam.
No change given! Shame
This is our go-to market/bodega in DC! Friendly staff, always fully stocked, and great selection of food and beverages.
Newly-opened liquor store in H STREET DC! I went to check it out in their first day of business, and I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. It is a well-organized store with various selections of alcohol ranging from popular to vintage liquors. The owner extremely polite and respectful. He also gave me suggestions on what type of alcohol is best to get. The prices of the liquors are what separates this store from the rest. No low-balling just straight up accommodating to customers! Ended up buying a great liquor with a complimentary free bottle of rose! DEFINITELY A MUST GO!

Great customer service
Small D.C. Wine and spirits store. The shelves are stocked from floor to ceiling with every type of liquor you can imagine. The only problem is the store is really tight and there's barely enough room to stand and turn without knocking over products. Social distancing won't exist if there are more than 4 people in the store at once. The prices are inflated but it is D.C. I found The Rock's (Dwayne Johnson) new Tequila, Terra Mana and it was $30 more than what I paid for the same bottle in NY. Picture that. The staff was friendly and helpful finding something a bit less expensive. Had i not been in a rush to make my train on time I would have sought out another place just because of the price discrepancy.

Don't shop here
Yes the store has a good selection, YESSS ITEMS are OVERPRICED, yes you should ask for a receipt because they will BEAT you if you don’t pay attention. However, they know most people coming are because of the convenience of being open late, or last minute libation needs or people are already inebriated and not paying attention to the prices . Suggestion, find another establishment UNLESS you absolutely need something last minute !!!
Excelente servicio
Security is a joke here like someone else mentioned. If you ask them about the men who solicit outside of the store they respond with annoyance and refuse eye contact. It's good to know the people who work at this store feel that the customers should be harassed for money like thats an employee out there or something. "There's nothing we can do". Yeah right.
Nice little liquor store, but I noticed the cashier wasn’t wearing a mask and didn’t bother putting one one when I went up to pay. He also didn’t check my ID, even though I’m young enough for him to have needed to ask me. The other employee had a mask around his neck. What’s the point if you don’t wear it over your mouth? Sorry, but I’m not going back there until they start doing the right thing.
The older gentleman who runs this liquor store is a great person. I used to walk my dog in the area and on occasion stop to purchase a 6 pack of beer for the weekend. On my first visit, I asked if my dog Lucy (a 65lb harmless but clumsy PitBull) could come in with me while I picked up my beer. He always welcomed Lucy with a treat and a positive attitude. I ended up purchasing way more beer than I could drink because he was so good to me and my dog.

Love this locally owned business. The ladies are wonderful and nice. I mostly get my lunches here from the fresh deli. They also have a nice selection of basic kitchen needs. From wines to chocolate snacks. Have a great day.
:)
The staff (2/3 of them) do not wear masks. They do not ask guests to wear masks and I saw a guest walk in with no mask and a dog. Dog was cute but the lack of care for public health was not. I have been one other time in the last month and neither staff member was wearing a mask that time. I tried again but they continue to disappoint.

Update as of next day: walked by, two employees wearing masks over their neck, not covering mouth or nose.

Update as of 8/17: I walk by this place almost daily. The guy who is there the most wears a mask over his neck and does not raise it to his mouth even if patrons are in the store.
i went to buy Power , a Cinnamon Whisky on 29th May-2020 around 6pm i guess. After paying by debit card, the selling guy said " u good to go" without a Receipt .....???? HE charged $33 he said ???? , this is a Store in Van Ness UDC , what is this Policy ..... where these money go ... .. Never go again
Shady as hell. Try to buy a bottle of green apple Jack Daniels. Sales price sticker says $26.85. He rings it up for $34 and tells me all of them are the wrong price. He peels the sticker off and tells me to have a nice day after I called him out. You’ve been warned
Decent store, but security guard decided not to let me in even they weren’t closing for a good amount of time. Also interacted with me in an unprofessional manner.
I walk to this store every day, and have done so since the day I moved here - it's the best "convenience" store I've ever been to. It's actually a full grocery store, packed into the size of a convenience store. If you need something, more than likely you will find it here. The staff - every single one of them - are so friendly, welcoming, helpful, efficient... I can't say enough. They have even stocked items I've specially requested, and not just once mind you, they keep them in stock. Yes, some items do cost a little more than they would at a large chain grocery store or supermarket, but it's certainly not a significant difference and for many items I've seen no difference at all. What locally owned business is able to price-match national chain stores anyways? Regardless, the price is offset by the convenience. And aside from the convenience, it's just a genuinely positive experience in my day. I'm not going to hate on the store across the street - once in a blue moon there will be some item that this store won't have in stock that day and I'll go across the street, but there isn't anything special about the store across the street - it's a convenience store as you'd expect. The Corner Market is just something better than that.

PS. Great (rotating) beer and wine options as well.
They do not clean up trash on 23rd street side of store.....makes neighborhood property values go down.....

Everytime I am in this area.... I ALWAYS stop here. They have the best homemade sandwiches. I even turned my employees on to it.
I really wanted to like this place. Neighborhood mini grocery is a beautiful thing. Corner market is not. It is dirty, there was expired food on the shelves and 5 day old lunch meat sandwiches in the display case. There was no concern for quality or friendliness that I could find. Could be a gem but it is currently not
I love
Lacking some brands that we like...
The best selection in the city the service here is impeccable mike the owner is truly amazing he made me feel like family mulu is the hardest worker I like to call him the brand ambassador he knows where everything is and his customer service is always amazing and last but not least ma aka jerry amazing warm service I can go on and on just stop pass and see for yourself:)
Update, 2021- [ Probably the highest price liquor store compared to others I've visited in the neighborhood. ]

Initially they didn't think they had the spirit I was seeking, but after checking again it turns out they did!
You can pretty much buy everything here. From the rarest bourbon to beer, and wine with cheese, one stop shop for your weekend !!
It's a nice little convenience store that is in a nice location. They offer most anything one may be short on, but the quality may not be great and the prices are rather inflated. That being said it is nice to have around for the occasion that one needs something in a snap.
Friendly staff. Great selection of non alcoholoc beverages. Great for post work out. I love the fruit as well

Have a great day you no.
Nice store, nice workers but they allow guys to hang in and outside of the store and deal.
The guy at the cashier tried to charge me more than my actual price; $10 more to be exact. He looked dead in my face and told me the total, and after I asked him how does that add up? He made an excuse saying that it was taxes. I then asked to see the payment screen he then changed up his excuse talking about he rang up my first item twice by accident.

DON’T BUY FROM HERE!! If you do ask for a receipt and to see the payment screen.

This is a mom and pop deli and convenience store that makes great sandwiches. Cheerful service, wonderful side dishes. Warm and welcoming.
Although it pulls up when you search for “liquor store,” they only sell beer and wine. No liquor store on site and no liquor sales in grocery store in DC. They do have a decent selection of beer and wine
Love this neighborhood store, fruits and veggies are available. Wonderful service.
Boys crowd the front of store 🚬 and drinking and it closes to early
Too many people outside for me. Make you not want to enter store. But people are nice who works on store. Product looks fishy. I’ll watch what I buy.

It was an amazing school it taught me everything I needed to know and more now I am way ahead of all my classes. It also has amazing teachers and students.
Open late on H street which is nice. Pretty good selection... wine and beer is very disorganized, reminds me of digging through LPs at a record shop. Many of their wine bottles for sale tend to have water-damaged labels. Prices are noticeably higher than other nearby liquor stores.

They have a good liquor store, but for general groceries it's been going downhill.

It's definitely overpriced, their fresh fruits and vegetable selection is paltry, and they don't always keep their posted hours (sometimes they close early without notice).

Really nice local deli. It is the place to get last minute items and their deli sandwiches and pastries are quite good. Nice folk that own it.
Everyone else seems to go to that other liquor store up the street, but the guys here are always friendly, and know their stuff. If you don't see what you're looking for, or need a recommendation, just ask. Don't forget the free delivery to the immediate area. It's great when you're having a party. Many a time they have saved my bacon by delivering and redelivering beverages when I'm close to running out!
