We have been a regular here for several years. We had an issue at the very beginning, years ago. Now the manager Marivic, takes amazing care of us. Some how she remembers our most liked foods.
The location does have turnover, however they continue to do a great job for fast food.

First of all I eaten at several Popeyes on the island for years and use the mobile app most of the time because of the time saving. The food pretty taste the same at all location. The reason for the 2 stars is because this location do not process your mobile orders unless you let them know. Twice this happened to me. When you place your mobile order, the ticket come out on a separate machine then the one attached to the register. The problem is, they don't check that machine. Today, my order was 83. They took two orders after mine came through, and prepared their food, which I understood, because they were already with the customer. But when they started helping the next set, I went to the counter and about mine. They didn't know about it, but they are working on it now. I didn't get my order until they have serve number 91 and the line was gone. I think I would have gotten my food faster if I went through the line like everyone else.

(Visited Hickam location on 30 Oct 2022) I was in a semi-long line at 1025 to catch breakfast but when I got to counter at 1035 the guy said they couldn't sell breakfast. There were still breakfast items in display such as sausages, eggs, and tater tots. I guess that's policy. However, McDonald's and many other restaurants will sell you their items a little past the time shift. Especially if there are still breakfast items available. Definitely, not flexible here. Despite all this, the food is good here. Just couldn't understand why some flexibility couldn't be exercised. Especially when I got there before the time shift. That legally gives me the right to order the remaining breakfast items, yes???

I'm torn, there's nothing *wrong* with this Popeye's, it's your standard popeyes, good deals, fast service, but Popeye's itself just isn't very good.. I came here because my beautiful girlfriend has never had Popeye's before and wanted to try, the biscuits are dry, the chicken is dry and just isn't very good. The spicy tenders are my favorite, but they're just alright. Overall, there's nothing special about this Popeye's, if you are craving some decent, cheap, cajun fries and chicken, it's there, but otherwise, there's a subway right next door along with some other options.
Also, while the spicy tenders are my favorite, I literally always get sick after eating it, it's like the Taco Bell effect.

This Popeyes is quite disappointing. The portions here are much smaller than the Popeyes on the mainland. I paid $12.50 for a 3-piece chicken platter to go. I ordered the spicy flavor, but later discovered that I was given regular. The chicken pieces were the smallest I have ever seen in a chicken restaurant. Even a McDonald's 6-piece chicken nugget meal would have been more filling. I felt like there was more crust than the meat itself. It's not just Popeyes in Hawaii that has quality issues. It's best to stay away from the mainland chain brands in Hawaii, and patronize local brands.

For being a fast food place, food was very inconsistent. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and I have no idea how they messed it up! Chicken breast was thick in one half and flat as a pancake on the other. Two pickles? That part of the recipe? Furthermore, the only difference between the original and the spicy sandwich is the sauce. Which, I actually had to go back to the cashier to get, because the cook forgot to put it on. Food wasn't good, not was the service. Also, there's a clear, plastic divider at the tables. Why???!!! Am I some sort of barbarian, sitting down with a complete stranger? It's obvious if I am dining with someone, I've broken the six foot guideline for space.

The food was fried fresh and tasted A-OK. This was our first time eating at Popeyes in a long time and were unfamiliar with the new menu items so we ordered a variety of things.
Communication with staff was a bit difficult but we got through it by being positive and friendly which worked well.
The Cajun fish had good flavor, it was more like a fish stick not a solid piece of fish. We also ordered the chicken sandwich it was fresh and also was good. We did find out that the fish and chicken batter itself is not seasoned it is the sauce they put on the sandwich that makes it the "cajun spicy" The red bean and rice side is Ono!
Nice open area to sit and eat. We will be back.
Located on Hickham Air Force base access needed to eat here.

I would rate this place as 0 stars, but not because of food quality, great service, or good food. I just moved here from a Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan. We paid $40 for a family MEAL of 16 chicken tenders on a regular basis. We went to the Hickam AFB, Honolulu, HI base and paid $40 for just 16 tenders... nothing else!!! What a rip off. My husband who is 240lbs ate all but 4 tenders... that’s $2.50 per tender!! Really?!? For our soldier families, who fight for our freedom and safety?!? ... way to screw over the people who will fight for your life!
