Our first taste of capetown and it was yummy. Found this trying to find the bathroom and found kamili. Charming service, great prices and good cappuccinos!
I picked up some beans from this coffee shop twice because they were so great. I picked up a large bag to take back home with me since I’m visiting from out of town. The staff was super friendly and hopeful, and the coffee is delicious!

Horrible customer service ruined what should have been a nice visit. Felt like the guy brought his issues to work that day. Ps if your doors open and it’s an hour before closing don’t belittle customer who have the audacity to walk in and ask for a coffee.

One of the best coffee roasters in SA run by a couple of legends (1 of whom is the most decorated barista champion in SA). If you’re looking for top quality coffee, thoughtfully curated and roasted this is your spot in the mother city.
What a wonderful coffee and breakfast spot. The team were very supportive and taught us how to sign our orders. The tv in the corner was cycling through some helpful sign language to learn over breakfast.
The food was great - we ordered a chocolate croissant and one of the breakfast options. The coffee was excellent.
Overall, its a really positive place and I highly recommend going.

Convenient place to grab coffee after taking a walking tour. The walking tour meets here as well, so gets busy before and after tours.

Such a great experience. Bakery and coffee roastery close to Kenilworth Shopping Centre. Sourdough, french loaf, brown and white to name a few options for bread available. Feel free to also add something for your sweet tooth from the beautiful display of cakes and other baked goods. While you are at it make sure to get some coffee beans or ground coffee to take home afterwards. Parking is available in front of the building or else within a short walk from the coffee shop. Service from the staff is exceptional and truly a unique experience. Make sure to visit soon.
Might be one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Although simple and unpretentious - eggs classics, it is close to perfect. The bread is fresh out of the oven, thick cut with so much flavour, soft with crunchy crust easy to cut through... The bagels, also fresh out of the oven, are just amazing.
The ladies doing the service are great, the guy managing the seating was a bit rude and nosy, but not important enough to lower the 5star rating for this place.

Great place to have breakfast. Great variety of options, the taste is great and the staff is helpful. Price is not cheap nor expensive. Highly recommended!

The quality of the house blend is very variable, also I get my coffee ground there for a mocca and its often too fine or too course. Please dont let the standards slip guys...

The steampunk-design is very detailed and the coffee is their science! They are real professionals for coffee and the staff nice and makes a great service.
Prices are normal, but quality is top!

The staff laugh at you and when you order they take there time cause they talk more to each instead of helping you.!!! Won't recommend this place to anyone!!!
This spot in Cape Town is truly one of my favourites for coffee. It has a fantastic ambience and cosy seating, making it perfect for students and laptop users. I wholeheartedly recommend it. My go-to drinks are Americano and V60, and they're delicious. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting Fiki, one of the staff members, and we instantly became friends. Her professionalism stood out as she guided me through some excellent coffee grinder options to buy for home use.

This place is probably the best coffee shop I've ever been to. I adore coffee and when I walked into this incredibly quirky artistic. The staff are incredible. Get there in the morning and smell the freshly baked pastries warm straight from the oven. Get there on a day where they're roasting it's loud but it smells divine. I have recommended this place to everyone I know who's gone over to South Africa. And I highly recommend it to you.
I think the vibe inside is the main goal of the place, like being allocated to another time in the middle of a crowded city like Cape Town. Food amazing if they get your order right,because for us after the 4th attempt was the right one. Also the prices not very affordable to anyone wanting to taste the extraordinary flavors of a proper coffee. Would say that having a moody waiter is not really nice,specially after you having a really long morning. But yes, overall is a really nice experience to come and sit for a very very nice coffee.
Great experience in truth coffee! Had heard many good reports from the locals about the coffee and food and had to give it a try while visiting Cape town. Service was exceptional as an order is placed on a tablet and then later brought you coffee or croissant. Friend had a small meal for breakfast and was also great.

Absolutely love this place and it's concept. I even noticed the use of the recycled cans on the table...thats very creative and smart. I had the bagel and it was the BEST one I've had so far in Cape Town (and I've been to a lot of places). Fresh, tasty and made with so much love. My fiancé had the sandwich and he enjoyed it. The chips was on another level though...juicy but not oily. So good that it didn't even need any sauce. The staff are always friendly and the vibe is always there! I even picked up some dog biscuits for my doggo as these were also made by the staff. Very creative and awesome! Thank you for the great experience. 💕 Keep on keeping on!

Delicious coffee, we buy our beans there monthly. Just wish the staff would be trained better. Every time we go in, they are unprofessional and not interested in customer service. This is for the shop in Gardens.
What a unique coffee shop. If you’re looking for a truly steam punk-inspired environment, look no further than Truth. This establishment has great coffee and options to enjoy with your beverage of choice, but it really is the environment itself that makes this trip worth it. Even the servers’ attire makes you feel all the more immersed in the environment, as if this place were a coffee shop you might find somewhere in Disneyland.
I've always wanted to visit this coffee shop and today was the day we visited this coffee shop and oh boy what a treat the atmosphere is amazing the decor is amazing the staff is absolutely amazing and so friendly and helpful and then there is the coffee and oh boy so many options to choose from and its amazing one coffee is definitely not enough with a visit 😋 the food is so fresh and very tasty we had the beef burger meal and it was Amazing !!!

Amazing speciality coffee! Every batch of beans I've gotten from Cedar has been fantastic. I can highly recommend the Brazil and Kenya beans currently in stock.
What an experience. I come here regularly when I visit Cape Town. Absolutely worth every cent. Amazing steam pump style decor and friendly staff. High quality food and the best coffee you’ll ever taste in South Africa. Unisex restrooms, work stations an communal tables where you can meet people from around the globe. Don’t wait, this is your first stop when arriving in Cape Town.
Its okay. Open plan bakery where you can see how they make all baked goodies. Few dishes like breakfast and maybe 2 lunch dishes. I took a chicken and mayo sourdough sandwich with chips. It was basically only the toastie sandwich. The bread was nice but the chicken and mayo tasted like a 6yr old made it. No flavour, no spice not even the mayo was nice and the chips was very brown. Burnt oil taste. Not even a bit of salad, slice of tomato or any nice sauce. No sauce on the table. For R85.. Very bland Maybe if it had nice vibe or atmosphere, then the price could be acceptable. The only thing that was okay was the Mocha.
A darker grungier interior and bean roast than I’m partial to. But not bad. Coffee 7/10, dark roast and okay milk. Service happy and very laid back! A good spot to work or gather, or grab a quick cup!
Had a delightful experience at this highly recommended spot with a fantastic atmosphere and outstanding coffee + local breakfast. Although the service was slightly lacking due to a busy rush, it's understandable given the number of customers. Just exercise a little patience and you'll be rewarded with a table and a cup of deliciousness. Worth the wait!
I love this shop. I love everyone who works here. They are great people. They make you feel comfortable and welcomed. The vibes are nice. I LOVE their carrot cake and their coffee! They have the BEST food EVER!
Amazing coffees, amazing decor, great vibe, even early in the morning. They really do breakfast well. Fresh avo, perfectly cooked eggs, farm style breads and most importantly the bacon here is ridiculously good. I will definitely be going back here to try more on their menu. Very generous servings and really good service.
Great place to have coffee. Vibes are amazing. Had a coffee and croissant while I was in the area. Service was quick, food was good. An incentive to visit again with a bigger group. Would recommend to all caffeine lovers
Edit: Went there again on a morning last weekend, ground floor for busy hence made myself comfortable on the first floor table which also is a workplace for the roasters, packaging staff etc. Tried their Vaccum pour V60/64 which smelled strong but tasted mild with mostly fruity notes, I loved it and it is something that two people can easily share. Also had plain omelet with sourdough bread, it was one of the most delicious breakfast I had, not sure what went into the preparation for the Omelet but I would definitely recommend you try it whenever you're here for breakfast. Again a wonderful experience, I'm revising my rating from 4 to 5 stars as it has been an overall amazing experience in the couple of visits I've been here.

Good coffee, amazing breakfast and brunch. I tried several things, they were all so good! My favorite so far were the Turkish eggs, but the Shakshuka and the omelette are also very good. I love the location and the staff, always so kind!

Theeeee Best sandwiches on the best bread, great cheese and delicious ingredients. Wow love at first bite. This is my favorite joint in CPT. Soooo much love for Dose Coffee, clean neat serving and a beautiful space
The coffee and the avo toast was very good and the baked goods looked delicious as well. The art in the shop is mainly beaded animals and it is really very well made. The service was good and I'll definitely go back again to taste their other goodies. Well woth a visit.
What a great team at Cedar Coffee Roasters. Its always fun visiting the guys and difficult to leave with all the great coffee knowledge they have to share.
What a great find. Looking for some place different from our usual haunts, we popped into ILOVECOFFEE on a whim. They have a small but very yummy menu. Yet when you walk into the shop, there are SO many more goodies to choose from (the homemade pies are a definite winner).
Just be aware, some of the staff are hearing impaired, and this is were the fun comes in. Follow the links on the menu for lessons in sign language. 👍

The Rwanda Vunga Washed is downright delicious! A sweet and vibrant cup with stonefruit notes. I actually got in touch with Cedar before the website launch as I wanted to buy some coffee. Their service was impeccable, they went above and beyond. And above all else, the coffee is so delicious!

Possibly the best coffee I've ever tasted!! They roast it themselves and you can tell - it's delicious! Also a FANTASTIC selection of pastries, breads, pies and quiches. No favourites - everything is great!!!!!
Coffee here is great. I will definitely come back. Baked goods and friendly service was a plus. They had Wifi I managed to do some work.
After a big lunch we needed a great coffee, from the outside the place seemed nice and actually it was! A really nice barman made us an Amarula Coffee, maybe bit strong since it was 2:30pm but we are on holiday, who cares?! The coffee was perfect, really really good! Highly recommended!
