Daughter (7) loves this day camp for days off of school. She brings home a cool project each day and is so excited to show it off

My son loves robots and Legos. The Robotics class here is his favorite weekly activity!! The instructors (and even the owner of the West Loop location) are kind, caring, and approachable. My son is very curious about engineering and how things work and the owner is always willing to go the extra mile to demonstrate various completed projects. I can’t say enough good things about our experience here!

I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for this place. They're so unorganized. They want you to follow their rules or they'll fire you but they don't follow their own rules.hey don't know what the hell they're doing if you ask me. They fired me for not going their so called training classes
.
Nothing to do with health care.

My son has always enjoyed the days he spent at Kids STEM Studio. We’ve done weeks in the summer and also days here and there when there is no school. He comes home talking about his projects and what he learned. Sadly, he has aged out of their programs but we enjoyed several years of him attending.

If I could give zero stars I would the old miserable guy in the office threw me outside in the cold and then said stand away from the building getting in my face with a attitude and a employee apologized to me saying he’s like that with everyone and i refused to be talked down to and thrown out in the cold being told go away from the building a animal doesn’t deserve that . I was told go in the office to get paperwork and that’s what I get that old psycho takes that job as if he’s a cop or something . Don’t get in women’s faces loser and there staff sides with him absolutely terrible place that pays minimum wage to shower n dress and clean after people
My six year old son has been going to STEM studio for about 9 months and absolutely loves it. He is thrilled to go to his robotics class each week and builds some amazing things during his classes. He attended a “day off” camp at STEM studio for the first time last week and had a wonderful experience. The staff here is smart, attentive, welcoming and accommodating. The kids are learning advanced concepts, the curriculum builds each visit, and it is presented in a fun and creative way. Our only complaint is that STEM studio isn’t closer to our home!
We love the Green Explorers Club boxes! Over the last few months, I've purchased several of them for my 5 year old and 9 year old, and they both love the creative and well thought out activities and coordinating books. Our favorites are the the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and African Savanna project boxes, but they are all great!

The perfect gift of experience, time and learning with our family and to gift others. Since we couldn’t be in Denver for the holidays this year, we ordered and shipped boxes as one of our gifts to the cousins and did a zoom afternoon together. It was so much fun connecting and learning right along side of the kids. I especially loved the green roofs and composting boxes. I think I look forward to the boxes as much as the kiddos! Will find my screenshot and post picture soon!

My son took virtual classes over the summer of 2020 and it brought him so much joy. He retain much of the facts he learn and also made him aware of preserving the planet. Green explorers offer project boxes that make the perfect gifts or great for rainy days!
The project boxes from Green Explorers Club are a huge hit in our house! We have nearly all of them at this point, and my kiddos and their cousins are so excited when they get to do them. My son is 5, and he loves sharing all that he knows about dinosaurs know. Each box is thoughtfully put together and unwrapping them is like opening a Christmas gift each time! This small business knows what families need!

We just finished a week of Theme Park engineering camp and my son loved it! We tried this camp again in 2020 after last year’s success. My 7-year old always comes home calm and fulfilled after a day at STEM. They have been open nearly 2 months with COVID health protocols in place and everything seems to be working fine. My son wears a mask all day except for eating and they take a walk to run through the park for recess. Check it out if you need a break from your WFH assistant.
We got the coral box and my daughters LOVED it! I have a 7 1/2 and 2 1/2 year old and they both were so engaged during the book and activities! The 7 1/2 year old especially got into the activities and has read the book multiple times since. I'd highly recommend this box and service. Everything was thoughtfully put together and well packaged. I love how eco friendly it all is!
Not only are green explorers camps and classes fun but they are also educational. My daughter had a blast at a day off camp and came home and told us all about how to compost. Such a fun and different camp idea!

At Kids STEM Studio, by my 5-yr old takes two classes: coding (where they use Scratch) and robotics (where they build motorized lego models). He really enjoys both classes and has picked up programming principles (not sure about the robotics :)). Teachers are friendly the student/teacher ratio is low. Management has been flexible about rescheduling missing days.

In all, a great program!

This place is a gem. My kids have been going here for summer camp and day off camp. They come home with the best projects. The staff is outstanding, the curriculum is fun but also educational. Kids not only learn all about the scientific method, but how it fits into their everyday life. They learn that nature is all around them and not just in the country. The lessons are tangible and geared toward urban kids. They learn about the trees, plants and animals they see everyday. My kids are always making connections to what they learned at camp and what they see when we are out and about.
As a parent, I really like the flexibility and easy booking.

I once did an internship at the adult wellness center. It is a great program for the seniors, they have many activities for them. They also have La Posada, also a great program for homeless families. The staff there is very friendly and helpful.

My son gets great support with homework help through Kids STEM Studio's after school program. The tutors are kind and kid-focused. He also attends coding class, which is a highlight of his week. The instructor tailors lessons to his interests and provides motivating encouragement. Ms. Maria is the best!

My son has attended several school day off camps and he liked every one of them. He loves the Engineering projects and talks about it all week. He was also taught to code and develop his own video game. So cool for a 7 year old. Best place for kids to learn STEM.

When i put my son at casa central i was excited cause it seen like a great place indeed is a great school with great teachers, but the one that anwer the phone and receive the people is the meanest person i have ever met i have work with public 30 years and i never seen someone so cruel antipatic than her am looking to move my kid from there i seen this women argue with so many people she actually cost a great humble mother problaly with more education than her,her opportunity to work there and i khow her personally and she was heartbroken that your staff and human resources didnt did anything about and all cause she went gossiping about her lies, she not even close to the standard and she dont belong there we organizing a parent march against her and because the injustice against this mom,we have over 30 parent and ex students parents we should strike in front her abuse and everyone who cover her should be fired and like casa central goes lying in the news we as parent could do the same exposing videos and audio of her threating people. Nothing against the organization in general i just cant stand injustice and unfairness.

Green Explorers Club hosted the birthday party for my 3 year old son and about 20 of his friends. They did a FANTASTIC job!

They had fun educational events every 20 mins to keep the kids engaged and moving. The instructions were clear and easy to understand.
Several parents commented on how well planned everything was and how the kids were engaged.

They also took care of the goodie bags and helped with the cake. The team was very flexible and helpful. You could tell they had experience dealing with kids this age. It was one of the best experiences we've had throwing a birthday party.

We highly highly recommend Green Explorers Club.
This school is my life! I have amazing friends! The teachers are so understanding! The principal does the best she can for Nettelhorst! It's amazing

For a year, we had a great caregiver for our mom through Casa Central. The caregiver was awesome. Then on a Sunday evening, the caregiver called us to tell us she had been told after 5pm the previous Friday, that she was being reassigned to another client. No one from Casa Central called to let us know there would be any changes. When I called them and talked to our caregiver's supervisor, she told me that it was her supervisor who made the change and that he didn't even let her know. So I called him - and have not ever received a call back from him. Not only is this rude and unprofessional, but they did this two weeks before Christmas. My mom now has no caregiver, is depressed that the caregiver she loved is no longer coming - and we will not be working with Casa Central anymore.
By far at my years at Nettelhrost it was amazing, I have been able to work with a close friend into reconstructing the Ambassadors and bringing a Non-Profit even closer to Nettelhrost already hosting two off school ground events under the Ambassadors and I'm glad to have said that both the Administration, Teachers, and Staff have been amazing wonderful people when you get to know them they become family as my family has been with Nettelhrost past 40+ years both working and going to there amazing building. If I where to give advice to what elementary to take your child to it would be Nettelhrost for all the amazing people, events, and activities you can do while keeping an amazing education thanks to Ms.Jacquline Von Edelberg and her amazing strength to help Nettelhrost in recent years rebuilding the entire system for us to be as amazing as we are today, even though I have graduated they will always be family for years to come. I have never seen such excitement in students at others school but Nettelhrost will connect you to others and will help show you your full potential and what are capable of doing. I would like to say thank you for all that they have done from powerful men and women who work everyday especially under all that Illinois has gone through with the budget we all are there for one another.

Sincerely Danny Rosado

Schools are not built for Teachers to teach and Students to learn but a School is one that has both Teachers who teach then learn from their students and Students who Learn and then teach those skills for generations to come, because that's what my vision is that makes a school so great.

This is my eighth year at Nettelhorst, and it's been a great experience. As I move forward to look on to other future schools, I will be sad to leave my alma mater behind. This school was pretty okay when I came in Kindergarten, but gradually got better until it was what it is now. A great school, with many friendly faces and a great academic program. Shout out to the Middle-school teachers. Definitely recommend young children starting here and finishing out in eighth grade, like I will very soon.
This is possibly one of the BEST SCHOOLS EVER!
I've been with this school for 8 years. All the money and after school programs and classes such as Drama, P.E, Music, etc. which makes the school pretty good. The school design it self is OK but it can be better. The teachers and students are not the brightest of things, but the students are friendly. This school is also OK academically. Honestly it's your decision if you want your child to go here not mine, but I'm here to inform you of what I've seen in my 8 years (soon 9)

I've tried calling multiple times for information on a prior employee for the last three weeks.
I've been transferred every time to a voicemail of three different people.
I have not received a call back from any of them.
Casa Central, please train your staff on returning phone calls.

I love this organization! They have some many services for the entire family. I personally have utilized one of their child care centers, Casa Infantil.

I have really been impressed with my experience with Casa Infantil. This smaller, 4 classroom center is a hidden gem in Logan Square that provides an economically integrated and educationally stimulating environment for children ages 2-5 years. My son who is 3 1/2 has already experienced a couple other daycare centers trying to find the correct fit for him, and I know we have found it with this Center. All of the staff in the program are professional and welcoming, and they take the time to observe and support the various learning styles of the children in the program.

Additionally, they work to integrate Spanish language into their curriculum. In my son's third week in the program he is already counting to 20 in Spanish and English. They also integrate technology into their learning and the children utilize computers and large tablets to engage in math, reading, and social-emotional curricula. The Director, Victoria, is wonderful and very engaged and invested in the children and teaching team. She knows every child by name. Ask for her and she will answer any and all questions:)
Best School Ever!
