Had a great time decorating ornaments with Beth! The space was so inviting, creative & clean. I’ve attended another adult class (abstract painting), and it was equally as fun! Would 10/10 recommend!

I inquired via email about their art program. Hannah was very kind and super responsive. My daughter has been thoroughly enjoying her experience here and says she loves her teachers. She’s also coming home with very cool projects. I am eager to see what’s in store for next session.
I tried to register my daughter for this program back in august and was told that she had to be 8 yrs old. The director let me know that seats might open up for the winter session so we waited 4 months for her to turn 8 and now they are telling me she has to be 9. Very rude on the phone. No program is that special for us to be treated like we’re being done a favor.
*Also see in a review that they admitted an 8 year old 5 months ago.

“We’re not babysitters”
“You can go anywhere else”
“We have a very long wait list”

Some gems for y’all to enjoy.
The Boys and girls club use to be great to deal with! Now, not so good. You call the # which prompts you to email, they answer you back a few months later...how professional is that!?... There's always some excuse........

Great program, we’ve done a birthday party, afterschool, day and summer camps and my daughter (5 yr old) always loves it! Teachers are great, projects are creative, and include a variety of materials.
Horrible work environment do not work here they treat the workers like slaves and the supervisors are on a power trip. Serious narcissist behavior. Unprofessional and young untrained staff members that try create friction amongst other employees. Do not waste your money at this camp that can’t even afford cool trips or buses to take your kids to these trips.
Excellent fine arts school in Long Island City. I am so happy that I found Bridgeview for my daughter’s arts instruction. They are serious, committed and rigorous. Five stars is not enough!

Awesome spot, food and vibe. We loved playing and having a drink after. Our kids also enjoyed playing on the sand. Will definitely come back again. Considering sending kids to QBK summer camp. The program looks like so much fun.
Exceptional teaching. My children and I have gone up several levels in artistic technique and understanding over the last three years. The teachers take their work very seriously and that's reflected in the students' extraordinary results. Our 11 year old daughter loves going and has created some excellent work. She has developed enormous self-discipline and can work for hours and still can't wait to come back each week. Our teenage boy made enormous progress as well. We travel from PA because there's nothing like this school anywhere else. We just love Lena and all the outstanding teachers, esp Boris and Sasha. They are incredibly gifted artists and teachers and we feel very lucky to get to work with them.
Bridgeview Art School has been an amazing place for my daughter to hone her budding artistic qualities. They have been great about working with her for her high school portfolio and are very knowledgeable about what needs to be included. Highest recommendations for Bridgeview Art!!!!
Our daughter has been attending Bridgeview for almost 5 years, and she has grown as an artist. She is always around talented children and amazing teachers who are supportive and very professional. This art school is a gem.
This was our son's first semester with the Bridgeview School and he had a wonderful experience. Our son is only 8 yrs old and we thought he won't have patience to paint for 2 hrs but to our surprise, he enjoyed a lot. The teachers are very knowledgeable and know how to work with kids. Lena gave our son options in painting and freedom to choose and expresses his way but with her guidance of learning. Our son will definitely enroll for fall classes.
My daughter has had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Bridgeview, under the tutelage of Boris. The amount of improvement seen in her skill in phenomenal, and the increased study/portfolio building allowed her to get accepted into her #1 choice for High School. Could not recommend more.
This has been such a great program for my daughter. She's been attending classes for a year and she has gained a ton of skill and confidence. Excellent teachers make this a perfect learning environment.

Recommend it if you want year round climate controlled beach volleyball.

Free volleyball trial classes Saturdays @ 1pm.

They also have Empire Shop too with pretty tasty sandwiches and smoothies. For something filling I recommend the Heart Attack and something flavorful but a little healthier I recommend the Mariachi.

They also have lounge chairs and picnic tables if you want to get work done. Recommend bringing a pair of sandals and towel to rinse off the sand from the feet and body.

We came out from Manhattan to celebrate our daughter and her friend’s 13th birthday. They invited 30 of their BFFs for a volleyball party. Parking on a Sunday was a piece of cake. About half the kids had volleyball experience but I have to say that everyone had a blast! The volleyball staff did a great job mixing up the players and they kept the action going. The girls played ball for a solid 2 hours and their phones came out only to take pictures. I call that a great success! Only issue is that the wait staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the amount of people and one of the employees was relentless in having us fill out missing wavers instead of emailing them later. I get that she was doing her job but we didn’t want to spend an hour filling out waivers for 15 kids. Otherwise everything went smooth and we didn’t feel at all rushed. Good memories for your years to come. Thank you!

We came with 3rd and 4th grades in a school trip to this wonderful place. There were about 60 children, and the coaches were fantastic at engaging the children and teaching them the basics of beach volleyball. Such a fun activity and the children were so overjoyed to run and jump on the sand. Then they got or eat pizza at the picnic tables and play some ping pong abs stacking cups. What a fun trip, we will definitely be back!

A nice time. Large sand courts with indoor heating so you feel like you are in the Caribbean !
Friendly staff. And board games are there to play after your match.

My 18 month old loves the classes at Art Strong so much! The activities are always different and super creative. I love that he brings something home after each class! Can't recommend this spot more :)

The best place in New York City to play indoor beach volleyball. There are 3 full size beach volleyball courts with plenty of room in between them. The space have more to offer than beach volleyball, there is table tennis, cornhole boards some arcade games not mentioning the full bar on side with some bar food. The place offers beach volleyball classes as well. Overall great place, the downsides are the price and the fact that the place seems to be leading towards recreational VBall not competitive doubles.

Art Strong is hands down one of the best Art & Sensory locations for toddlers & children in NYC, we’re so happy and lucky they decided to run out of Long Island City. I’m the mother of a toddler whose been taking their Little Explorers class, we’re blown away weekly by all the creative, fun, well thought out sensory tables and art stations they design each week.

Additionally, they take extra steps to ensure safe ingredients, washable / nontoxic art supplies, and safe mediums for young toddlers use and explore during each class. We’ve taken a few different sensory/art classes in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan and nothing has compared to incredible and creative stations that Art Strong creates each week. Grateful for the wonderful classes they provide!
Worst work environment ever. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Too much secrecy and favoritism. They hire you on the first day and act like they want people to work there but inquire about your schedule or even when you're getting paid and you'll get fired. And I still didn't get paid for the days I worked despite being told over and over again that "someone" would call me. A lot of the staff are also untrained younger people so that the director (a major narcissist) can remain unchallenged in his domain. Do not waste your money and send your children here.

Art Strong is simply the best! Our son attended 5 weeks of summer camp and was absolutely thrilled with the program. I was also blown away by the thoughtful and unexpected interpretations of the theme each week. At Art Strong the students learned about famous artists, connected stories to the projects, and explored tons of different mediums. The campers also curated a gallery show at the end of each week. It was amazing to see how excited and proud the kids were to share their artwork with their families. I cannot recommend this program enough and we will be back!

Art Strong is a gift to the LIC area. The studio is run by 2 former teachers who are both incredibly talented, creative and great with kids. My little one has been the studio since she was two, and is currently there for summer camp. She comes home everyday very very excited to talk about the activities and crafts she worked on. Their theme based crafts are well thought out and administered, and they use a wide range of materials (shaving cream, chickpeas, clay) which is so refreshing for young children. Ashley, Hannah - thank you for bringing your skills to this neighborhood!

This is the best new addition to NYC. With cold winters and hot summers, this place is set to make many players happy. The owner Leon is a super nice person, the facility is clean, the sand is very good for indoor courts and it is a lot of fun to play. Drinks and food available too. The best is yet to come for this facility. Welcome QBK Sports!

Went here with a large group of friends - was a blast! As much volleyball as we wanted for 3 hours. Super nice staff, good drinks, nice facilities. It was pretty perfect temp inside, next time I'll wear shorts and a tank top. Felt like a day at the beach
Waste of money, dont bring your kids here if you have morals. Even the staff dont care about the kids. Directors in charge gaslight and only care about their own reputations. Kids there Arent treated well. I worked for them during the summer and I can say they made me question my ability to watch a kid in a gym when My eyes were glued to them the whole time. They make excuses and they don’t even let a counselor try to help take care of a kid. They plan trips in 90+ weather and make the kids walk through this heat.. and then they blame me and my group for trying to give our attention to the kids as if they are slaves. I’d give it -1 stars if I could.
Hands-down one of the best kids program in Long Island city. We sent our two boys (6yrs old and 4yrs old) here for their weekly summer camp. Our boys came home after the first day begging for us to sign them up for a second week.

The teachers did an amazing job encouraging and fostering our kids’ imaginations and creativity. The boys always came home excited to show me what they had made and the story behind their creations.

At the end of the week, they put on an art show and invited all the parents. This was quite possibly the cutest thing ever. My kids were SO excited to have their pieces of art on display and to have my husband and I walk around to look at it all.

Very highly recommend this program, even if your kid isn’t super into art. Other things to note: was really impressed with the amount of high quality material used/given to the kids! Most art classes in the area just use construction paper and regular markers etc. My kids left art strong with a finished stuffed animal, a wooden action figure, a canvas-cape etc!
Variety Boys and Girls Club offers the best swimming classes around. We tried other classes in Astoria and none compare to the price, teachers, results at Variety Boys and Girls Cub. Our daughter started lessons when she was 4 and can now swim all by herself. The classes are held throughout the year (with 2 week breaks in between sessions). There is a structured lesson plan for the classes and sessions. All children are evaluated at the end of each session. The staff and teachers are really supportive. I highly recommend this place for lessons.
My son has attended 2 Summer Camps and 1 year of Afterschool, I can tell you that Variety is a jewel. Variety has a great "variety" of programs.
The Afterschool program is outstanding and my son really looks forward to coding, robotics and cooking. Most of all he likes that he has choices as to which "club" he can attend and, to him, it doesn't feel like he's in school. The staff creates a very warm and caring environment. The kids are respected. I could go on and on...Thank you Variety!
The BEST after school program/summer camp in Queens! My 10 year old has been in 4 different programs, she was not happy in any place other than The Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable, they offer a mass variety of programs. The summer camp is jam packed full of exciting trips, activities & swimming too! They offer all of this for a fraction of other school programs. Keep up the good work and a big thanks to the staff for being so awesome!
My son has attended both after school and summer camp at the Club and he LOVES it. The new team has made tons of even MORE positive changes this year. The day to day offers more variety (mini camps each day for the kids to choose from) and of course the indoor pool has been renovated and is gorgeous.
The Admin is super organized and communication with parents has never been better. So happy to be part of this amazing organization that is a shining star in our community.
