My daughter took online Spanish lessons here for over a year (Ages 6-7). The lessons were geared towards her age group with a super sweet and patient teacher, and lucky for us, small class size (2 students). So she got a lot of one-on-one attention and now has a great basic understanding of the Spanish language. The staff at ISL is also very friendly, understanding, and responsive. I highly recommend them!

Pamela was a fantasy instructor. She felt more like a friend that was helping me learn than an instructor. I appreciated her patience and encouragement throughout our lessons together. I would recommend islanguages to anyone wanting private instruction for learning a foreign language!

The staff of ISL is wonderful, very friendly and professional. My two kids started studying German at ISL in 2019 with Susanna. They enjoyed their classes via zoom and learned a lot. Susanna is a great teacher, very patient, and creative.

My daughter worked with a wonderful tutor from middle school through her high school graduation to supplement her school French class and to improve her French speaking/listening comprehension. As her schedule became busier I would check to see if she wanted to continue the tutoring sessions and the answer was always a strong YES. Johannes' patience, warmth and natural teaching style really helped her improve her level, confidence and interest in truly learning beyond school. Johannes and the staff at ISL are invested in their students - celebrating, congratulating or showing concern as life events happen outside of class. This is a connection we will always appreciate.

As a current student I can say I am a huge fan of ISL for many reasons. I have been taking Portuguese there online with a fantastic professor and support staff and am having a lot of fun learning the language.

When I visited Brazil my inlaws / family / friends all were asking me how I had improved so much recently and I told them about my classes at ISL. They told me I must have a good teacher and I said I definitely do.

Other benefits include the flexibility of online classes and the the very affordable cost. Overall I am extremely happy with ISL and am excited I am finally on my way to becoming bilingual.

I started taking individual in-person French classes through ISL just before the pandemic shut everything down. Classes continued on Zoom which is a great format for one-on-one language training. Everything is captured on the whiteboard and emailed to me so I don't have to focus on taking lots of notes... instead I can focus on listening and learning. My teacher is a native French speaker and everyone involved with ISL has been friendly, flexible, and communicative. I also use Duolingo but it is not as good at teaching languages. I highly recommend language training at ISL.
