Real Mexican food truthful prices. Salads are fresh and all the hot foods breakfast are delicious. I highly recommend.

I’m Mexican and it seems and tastes like real Mexican, that is really hard to find here in NYC. If you really want to try a real piece of Mexico, this is the place, everything is amazing!!!

Convinient location but they need to work on the customer service. You come in.. no one says good morning or greets you even when you go to sit down on the table. No waitress just ignores you and the guy at the register who I assume is the manager is always rude.
Not a pleasant place come to.
The food is ok and the place is convenient. That is all. Not a place where I would go out of my way to go have dinner with friends or family

They deliver, the cheese burger and fries 🍟 are sooo delicious 😋 and they make sure you're totally full the burger 🍔 is very big and lots and lots of French fries 🍟 I can never eat it all I always have leftovers!! The 🍟 are always freshly cut and cooked.

If you are craving great mexican food in the South Bronx area, this is your spot! I have been here about 4 times and have loved it more each time. The staff is super helpful and nice. The gentleman at the front put on the football game for me upon request. The Guacamole, enchiladas, tortas and Tacos are very delicious. On one visit one of the ladies recommended a plate that came with steak, egg, rice, beans, cheese which was great. The atmosphere is nice but small. Nevertheless, it is a great place to go and fairly priced.

They usually hang up before telling me the price or amount of time to do a pick up order, however last two times I came in to do pick up it was kind of rude for no reason. They wouldn’t hand me my food and I’m short lol. But also it would be nice to keep it under the heat lamp until the customer comes to do pick up, especially if we don’t know when it will be ready... I’ve sat down a couple times to eat and waited for a check for an uncomfortable amount of time once. The one time I ordered through grubhub, the quality of the food was completely different, so phone call is the best option but not great at the moment

Food was not too bad, but they over charged me. When I asked about it they said the website has old prices. A juice with flautas 20.00 … really? …. First and last time I order food from here.

Very polite staff. Food is fresh and delicious. But most surprising is how strong they make their Mojito drinks. I had 2 drinks,with dinner & I'm lit!!! If you live around here & haven't stopped in yet you're missing a hidden Mexican gem!

The burritos are awesome. I mean amazing! If you are ever in the neighborhood and in need of a an amazing burrito, do not stop by Chipotle, venture here immediately! If you are not completely satisfied, feel free to message me and I will absorb any complaint you may have. lol. $16 dollar will get you a large and it is enough for two people. It will be fully loaded and bursting from the seems. Enjoy my friends.

So I need to address the ELEPHANT in the room…..Was I served JOLLOF RICE?!! Because when I had seen my plate come out the kitchen… I won’t lie i literally thought it was JOLLOF RICE… but after tasting it, I immediately knew it wasn’t. But LET IT BE KNOWN SAN JOSE’s RICE AND BEANS WAS PHENOMENAL! Perfectly cooked fluffy rice; beans was cooked amazingly!

My chips and salsa tasted fresh and homemade so that was enjoyable!

Now for the MAIN EVENT….

After a long day of mailman business and dropping off supplies at my family’s spot. I was craving A WRAP OR SOMETHING SIMILAR WITH EXTRA CONDIMENTS(y’all know how I do). So I had to dig deep and remember I’ve eaten at this establishment before but never reviewed this place yet.

I ordered the chicken and chorizo quesadilla (homemade corn tortilla)… FLAWLESS. The chicken was seasoned well balanced. Chorizo didn’t taste like it was cheap packaged meat. Everything to my point of view was fresh and good quality. But I must say I’d wish the ratio of bread to meat. I would of preferred a bit more meat…but there is an option for that. Bathroom was decent.. overall the night was ended beautifully with a live performance from some local artist who was singing karaoke which was also beautiful. Yeah I was mostly paying attention to my late dinner but anyway. It was goood. It’s all good. The staff were good. Food high quality made to order.

Ordered Fajitas de pollo after a Yankees game. Their price is very fair among the restaurants near Yankee Stadium. But my fajitas is not up to par. There's too much juice and oil at the bottom of my plate (see picture). As a result nothing is browned or charred, instead, it feels more like boiled chicken strips with vegetables. For the same reason the dish tastes quite bland though it can be saved by their hot sauces.

Another thing that bothers me is their live performance is extremely loud and the loud speaker is very close to customers. Our experience was very uncomfortable as we had to shout to our waitress to place an order. And the singer was not even a good one and went out of tune frequently :(

I ordered the birria Quesadila which was a very good size for me a bit spicy so careful there, extra cheesy and delicious. Servers we're women who we're sweet and kind. My mother ordered the tacos de chivo. She enjoyed it she almost never enjoys restaurant food. The Salsa that was served she said was so delicious and yummy. The only reason I give the atmosphere a 4 and not a 5 was because the Ac was a bit smelly so we did move elsewhere. Other then that we got what we paid for it was delicious music and decor was awesome and it's a much bigger location now!

Their food is not consistent. I have ordered Gorditas before. Today. I ordered 2 chicken gorditas and they basically sent me an American taco minus tomato in a gordita. I have always had gorditas with black beans and avocado at Diamanté Poblano where I usually order from, they have their gorditas with black beans and 3 slices of avocado. I should have ordered from them but my boyfriend wanted an item on their menu. I looked online for the Gorditas recipe and it does include beans. I guess Diamanté Poblano goes that extra mile for their customers. Family cafe does the minimum for their customers. It was such an unappealing meal. I called and no remedy was offered despite my friendliness and dissatisfaction. I will not order from Family Cafe again.

Best Mexican food around the area! I highly recommend this place! Great service, great tasting food at a great price, though one should never put a price on food!

This place slaps. The service was good and there was love entertainment (the singer was very good.) We got the steak burrito, the al pastor taco, and a quesabirria taco. They had seating after the game and the red and green salsa was good and spicy as long as you drenched your food in it. Would recommend!

Authentic, 100%. Great food and they had live entertainment while we were there. Our waitress was very nice and always checked to make sure were doing good. We got a steak burrito, quesabirria, and an al pastor taco! Do not pass up going here. Quick walk from the stadium and had availability after the game. Would definitely eat here again.

Food is very good. When ever I'm around and hungry this is my togo spot they have both Mexican and American menus. Service is excellent, just be mindful it does get busy so their might be a wait time overall I reccomend this place to anyone who's around.

I didn't expect alot from here since I randomly went there but omg I really really enjoyed my meal.
Our dishes were all quite good and the owner was really nice to us.
Oh. If you dont like silantro, please let them know when you order the food. It is all over the plate including the sauce, toppings and decoration lol

I like this place, the staff is so friendly, kind , and nice. I love how it looks inside, the decoration is great. I ordered a burrito al pastor was so yummy. i like they have boing de mango .. Definitely, I like to come here when I have the opportunity.

It is one of the best restaurants for Mexican and American food. Tacos are always hot and flavorful. They also serve you all the hot sauces you need. Along with the staple cucumbers and radishes, which i always enjoy, they are nice and cold and serve as a palette cleanser to get you ready for those delicious Tacos. Very well run family buisness. I travel from Manhattan just to eat here. Great place, great service, and great food.

The people here are amazing. The owner is a great guy who is always enthusiastic about making his customers happy, and Thalia has the best customer related skills you could ask for. Their food is great, and the place is always clean. I'd suggest them to anyone.

Awesome spot for Mexican food in the S Bronx. Great vibe, friendly service, and delicious food - it’s places like this that put a lot of Mexican restaurants in Manhattan to shame. I had the molotes - one of their specialties and a dish I’ve not had before. Basically they’re crispy tacos filled with beans and in my case, chorizo. Wonderfully crispy and tasty. And then I had to try one of their tacos. Got the carnitas - first off, it was packed full. The pork was wonderfully tender and juicy and the corn tortilla was moist but held together well. Outstanding! I will return.

The food was disgusting! The chicken was brown and old like if it was made 3 days ago and they just dipped it back in the pan to reheat. It also had a raw chicken smell to it. I’m he way they just put it together with old red vegetables was horrible never again will I order.

I was planning to travel downtown this morning for Sunday brunch, I had Thai food in mind! On my way to subway I find out the train is not running, not in mood for shuttle buses, I changed my mind, and opt for local restaurants near train station, Xochimilco, had good reviews, I decide to experience the summertime menu, shrimp cocktail is delicious, I was impressed with the quality of the hospitality, the all staff is friendly and professional despite the busy hours, for sure I will go back for more deep mexicain food experience

Honestly this is not the same spot from 2019, I order a chicken chimichanga and I swear it tasted like hala. It tasted like I order a hala gyro legit , the rice was horrible it tasted like cinnamon. And the chicken forget about it , it is not the same , go a your own cautious cause honestly this spot anit it anymore sad.

We found this amazing place while walking to see a game on Yankee stadium! And I have to say it is a little peace of paradise for AUTHENTIC Mexican food lovers! I definitely can say that I had THE best soup in my live, and the most delicious guacamole in the city. Every detail in their food presentation was exceptional. Our kids( who are usually very picky ) cleaned their plates within few minutes.
Staff were very friendly and attentive.
This is our new Must-go-place now. Believe me it is worthy to come and try it from any neighborhood in NYC. They have amazing variety of food for the price that is going to surprise you!

I would give it 0 stars if I could honestly but it wouldn’t let me post my review so here it goes; me and my wife waited two hours after ordering their food on Uber eats, as we waited patiently and hungry the delivery man finally arrived outside. I brought the food back inside and my wife opened the bag the food was everywhere, both of our meals crammed into ONE container!!! Our faces expressing disappointment , we couldn’t believe it not only that, the food was extremely cold and soggy, it was inedible. I recommend you NOT, I repeat NOT to order from this restaurant you will regret it.

Amazing food. ANYTHING with their guacamole is good. Keep the tissues in handy, because food is piled/stuff with mouthwatering toppings of whatever you order; you can't go wrong with that.

Been here two times. Food is good. About par with what you would expect. Second time I went I ordered the Steak Tostada but they brought me Chicken instead. It was a simple mistake and they asked if I wanted to change my order but I declined. They don't serve alcohol. Overall it's a decent place for Mexican food. I'll be stopping by again for other dishes.
