The waiter could have used a smile, but was exceptional. Everything prompt & correct. The Parmesan crusted chicken is phenomenal! The food was hot & cooked correctly. The bill wasn't horrible either. I would recommend this restaurant.

Took my wife there for a birthday lunch on 11/27/23. We always come here for dinner and this is the first time we have ever been treated rudely by the hostess. Was told a 20 minute wait. Restaurant wasn’t that busy but she said all the servers were too busy. Looked like there were a lot of empty tables. She said we can sit at the bar, but I’m sorry every time we go there to eat is usually well over $100.00 spent and I prefer to sit comfortably at a dining table. Longhorn has always been our number one choice for dinner but maybe we need to look elsewhere if the hostess is going to be that rude.

Went for a large party for a birthday and everything was seamless! server was on point! I forgot to get a picture of my steak and potato but this salad is worth trying! Nobody’s steak was cooked wrong and we had a great time!

First of all I need to clearly communicate that our server, her service and the food were exceptional and wonderful on a chilly day. The information below is pertaining to the first contact with the manager inside the restaurant.

We entered the restaurant about 3:50 p.m. and the two people at the hostess desk turned to us and we asked for a table for two (not at booth). One of the people at the hostess desk looked at the other and told here in a rough tone that we could sit and wait a few minutes. She was very rude and dismissive. From our view on the bench they motioned us to we saw three empty booth, one table for four and three other tables taken. From that point in the restaurant there were no other patrons. Ten minutes the rude employee came to us and said she was ready to seat us now. I asked what the delay was and she said we came during shift change. I have gone to this restaurant since the day it was open. I have never seen or heard anyone talk like this to me especially since the restaurant was nearly empty. I asked who the manager was and it was her. I cannot/will not go back there as long as she is working at the location. Is there anything you can do to ensure I will not have to deal with her at all in the future? NOTE: Our server was incredible and more than made up for the rudeness of the manager. Everything was wonderful from the kitchen and timing was perfection. Thank You.

Absolutely a 5 Star Experience! I've lived in Altamonte for 6 years and decided you know what this was going to be the restaurant of choice today! Restaurant was clean, smelled amazing and the staff was super friendly.... Food came out hot and perfectly cooked, our waiter Ryan M. was absolutely amazing and on top of every aspect. I can be a little difficult at times as I drink faster than most but he kept my cup full... He's the main reason that we will be adding this spot to our rotation....

What could be better than a tasty lunch and a unique shopping experience? Extra special customer service, a joyful atmosphere, and being around friends. Not only is all that available in one place, but the prices are fair too at our local Cracker Barrel.

Horrible Service and Low Quality Food. Curbside was almost 20 mins after the provided time. The salmon and Mac&Cheese were dry. I will NOT be returning! Just view the pictures attached.

The service here was out of this world, from the moment we came in we were received we a huge smile and excellent service.
Our waitress was very kind to explain to us all the variety of food that they prepared here (first timers).

The food was incredible but specially those house hashbrowns! (WOW)
My wife ordered cheesecake pancakes and everything tasted amazing.
Definitely coming back on our next trip.

A great experience! We went on a busy Sunday morning and were told that it would be 20 minutes but it ended up being 15 despite them being busy. The service was excellent and super quick. The food was delicious, we got the French toast and chicken with a side of biscuits and gravy. It was a home style cozy meal. The gift shop is phenomenal with great prices for home decor and holiday decor! They have cute mini salt shakers for $1. In their clearance section they had these cute soap dispensers that go perfectly in our bathroom for 40% off.

Frequent customer here and I’ve never had a bad experience from the service to the food. I always get the chicken tenders and waffles but I went with the new loaded burger bowl and it did not disappoint. Our server Marisol A. was awesome as well! Food came out amazing and so fast! Never dissatisfied with Metro!

Literally sat down placed my order food was out to me in less than 5 minutes! Was so good! Obviously the best waffles in the entire world and the scramble with sasauge, scramble eggs, cheese,and grits with sasauge gravy was the greatest thing ever!

Had a great visit here today for breakfast. The food and service were both great. The French toast Latte was okay. I ordered the newer steak, egg, and hash brown casserole, and it was really good. Our server was friendly as well.

Metro Diner...

I have heard about it for years. Finally located one not far from the house and decided to give it a go.

Eggs and Chicken Benedict. It looked awesome. It smelled awesome. It had the perfect golf balls on top. It was on a biscuit...

I was excited!

The eggs were the most perfectly cooked I've had since Toronto a few years ago.

The chicken....ehh. it wasn't bad, but all the hype about being homemade, etc. A little over hyped.

The biscuits.... delicious.

The home style fries....🫢....I tried to like them. I tried to eat them. Nope. Probably the first time I couldn't get some potatoes down. They didn't even get in the picture....😞)

The staff was excellent, made up for the potatoes.

I may go back to try something else. But at the moment I'm not impressed.

Chicken and waffles were hot & fresh. The chicken sandwich was good. Our server was very pleasant. Overall, it was a decent meal from the diner.

Been to this Cracker Barrel location for the 5th time. So far very satisfied like any other cracker barrel store we’ve been to. They can be busy during weekends but we didn’t wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. Our all-time favorite is their Country fried steak with gravy, of course the famous hashbrown casserole and the warm biscuits! First time i tried today the Buttermilk strawberry cheesecake pancakes and i love it! Texture is perfect & fluffy! Service is quick even during busy hours. The only thing i can comment about is the toilet, needs more attention for cleanliness and there is this disgusting stinky smell like poop to be exact! Been noticing it for all my visits. Hope management can do something about it! Well, other than that overall experience is good. We’ll be back again for sure!

Definitely, a very interesting place to go check out. However, I wasn’t as impressed with the food and the service. Mind you, it was a busy Sunday lunchtime. We had reservations so, we got our table quickly. Our waitress was nice but, the orders took a very long time to arrive - like if they didn’t have capacity to handle so much people. It was quite hectic! Anyways, the food was good in terms of flavors but, certain items weren’t as well executed, and after that much wait you want something memorable. The portions weren’t, surprisingly, too large, which is not a bad thing, given the amount of choices that you have.

Came here yesterday. Service was great and food was good. The bathroom wasnt so clean though.

Me and a group of friends came in very early with my friends for a birthday breakfast. Our orders ended up getting mixed and up and you could tell we were getting on our waitress nerves. My friend complained about his grits being cold. My order got mixed up with my friend and he ordered his eggs cooked hard. Thank goodness he noticed it because I like my eggs scrambled with cheese. One of my other friends got her food late after us. Overall we had a good time , the other waitress was super nice and even took a group picture for us.

I love waffles. I've been craving them since I got pregnant. But I will only eat them from here.

Last time I was there, and the time before, I got 2 waffles. If you get more than one they're only like $2 or something more. Because 2 comes $7 and change. I've always loved Waffle House and it will always have a special place in my heart.
Breakfast with the grits, hash browns, over medium eggs, bacon, rye toast, and waffles is my absolute favorite when I'm really hungry.

This was the best breakfast that I've had out in such a long time!!! The wait staff was AMAZING!!! The food was amazingly seasoned and perfectly cooked!!! I even messed up and ordered hashbrowns by mistake and they replaced it with grits no charge, even after I insisted that I'll pay for it.

There was one female customer that was extremely rude to them, complained and everything, said nothing was good, but still asked for a to go box. She sat in the restaurant to leave a bad review, made it known and talked down to the staff. But after all of that she said her mother was a server and still asked for a to-go box. These wonderful people truly didn't deserve that, but they handled it with the upmost grace and kindness.

Please come, get some amazing food, and support these wonderful people. My husband and I will definitely be back!!! Get the pecan waffles, OMG to die for!!!!! As you can see in the picture, my husband finished his good and fast!! Lol. But really, the grilling of the biscuit was truly a life changer!!!

Just moved to the area and being in walking distance to stop many food places is exciting but nothing beats waffle house! The pecan waffles and All star breakfast hits EVERY time at this location! Whether it's late night with my husband or in the mornings it's always delicious! Friendly staff and very clean

Came here on Mother’s Day after a long wait at Cracker Barrel in Sanford. We were seated in 30-40 minutes with prompt service once we were sat. We ordered various meals including breakfast and lunch. All meals were delicious.

My waitress Emily was the best. She was very attentive to our needs. She made this experience nice. Ask for Emily you will not regret it!!

Had a great dinner. To all the people complaining learn compassion. I watched the entire staff hustle and do their best while smiling and joking with us! Xavier is an awesome waiter and the manager up front that sat us was so delightful! Drinks and food were great! Will be back!

I finally ate at Metro Diner last week. I really enjoyed the breakfast I ordered from their menu. Just in time for fall/October and pumpkin. The pumpkin waffle and bread pudding were so delicious. The waffle was like dessert in itself. The service was quick, and the food was hot as well as it all tasted fresh.

I’m of the belief that you cannot go wrong with Waffle House ever. This location is smaller than most, but the employees here are some of the friendliest i’ve ever seen at a waffle house. This is also the only Waffle House where i’ve seen a Rockstar Grill Operator. The team here is efficient and even at their busiest, I don’t have to wait long to get a quality meal. I’m very fortunate to have this Waffle House close by.

My first time here and Sophia was my Server, she was very friendly and very nice excellent customer service she even went outside and took the picture for me I was so excited this food is extremely amazing as you can see I have the fried Chicken and waffles cheesy grits and my friend had fish a chips with broccoli. The food is extremely hot and fresh I will be here again trust me.

08/06/2022 - are wait. Staff was excellent. The store was neatly organized and was asked several times if we needed assistance. The restaurant had the biggest opportunity was the 57 minute wait from sit down to food arriving at the table. When it did arrive at the table most of it seemed that it would have been sitting for a while and surprisingly for a side of my meal, only one piece of bacon. They did have a help wanted sign out front which is probably why the service was so slow.

They were busy but very efficient. I had a new weightier who was learning and he did a great job. I recommend going here for sure. I was checked on more than one time by people that weren’t my actual server. Had the Fiesta Omelet with mushrooms and double hash browns scattered smothered covered and diced. The cook prepared it perfectly!

The Altamonte Team was on point today. What a spectacular visit…Top tier Customer Service, Clean and Sanitary, and most importantly a Delicious Breakfast. Seeing the Happy Smile on Diamond’s face was just icing on the cake. :)

OMG! That was the best WH experience I have had at this location in awhile.

Everything was absolutely a pleasure. Hospitality, cleanliness, and most importantly my Triple Egg Omelette was cooked perfectly!

There is no doubt I was in good hands with the “A team” :)

1/23/2023 Update:

Visited for breakfast today. Amanda has clearly taken Customer Service to the Next Level here. Everyone was smiling, dressed well, and clearly happy to be there. It was joy to see the Waffle House experience is still alive and well. Having a “Rock Star” Cook working his magic on the Grill rounded out my perfect visit, so Thank you Amanda!!!

5/17/2022 Update:

Visited today for breakfast. All appeared to meet my WH expectations. It was especially nice to see Amanda transformed for any potential WH pictures. She even cooked my three egg ham and cheese omelet with smothered and peppered hash browns, which was a special treat for me!!!

This location deserves 5 Stars, but this is the second time I have been here to witness in person the folks “Dressed in all Black” making their presence known. I’m guessing they are from HQ’s???

Either way, they certainly do not set good examples for the folks that do deserve the 5 Stars for day in and day out commitment to making this place a pleasure to visit.

I am just thankful that the regulars cooked my delicious meal prior to “Amanda” clearing the grill area so she could prepare her own breakfast with her own hands and unkempt hair. It seems to me she should trust the same folks that prepared my meal to prepare hers. Hmmmmmmm???? Ok

Great place for brunch with the family! Portions are big and food is so tasteful.
Edit: we are regulars and have enjoyed coming here for a while now. The staff is wonderful, especially Morgan. She is great, very friendly and attentive.
