We went there for having a breakfast.We had masala dosa,Vada and coffee from there.Masala dosa was really nice.But the sambar and white chutney served with it was so disappointing.As the Vada was looking so good we ordered two for each.But it was a bad decision.It was crispy outside,but it was not properly cooked inside and also it has a sour taste.We can't even eat it.Coffee was nice,but with lots of sugar.Customer service was so disappointing.They served one of us first.And then the food was served after serving to two other customers.It was really irritating to us.Ambience is ok.No parking spot available.🙂

The restaurant was good. Only a small portion is visible at the entrance. How ever there was sufficient space inside and meals was also good. The food was more like that of Tamil style. But the
the ambience was not so good..it looks dark inside

I have been here quite a few times now, and they have good vegetarian food. I have had masala dosa, paneer pulao and wheat porotta with malai kofta. All good and reasonable price too. Food in the photo is Paneer pulao.

We had a delicious breakfast at this pure vegetarian place at really affordable prices.
The service was quick and friendly.

Delicious samosas at Malabar Plaza! Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. A must-try snack for a delightful culinary experience.

Looking for pure veg options in Kaloor, stumped on this and it was much better than what I had in last few days.
Owner was very kind and apologized for few options not available due to missing staff.
On request, dosas were crispy with less oil as requested and tea with right sugar. Enjoyed the meals.

Rare restaurant getting Kerala style meals at night 7.00PM to 10.00PM.The fish curry served was tasty but very spicy the fish fry was not fresh..Situated in Kaloor Kadavanthra Road.

Nice place to checkout seafood options. We tried Karimeen pollichath and prawns fry along with veg meals. The Karimeen Pollichath came wrapped inside a banana leaf which was amazing to see and to taste. Veg meals was also delicious and also not mention the payasam (dessert) served along with the meals was enough to make our tummy sumptous. Definitely worth trying

Very good option for sea food dishes, also serve other vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes. Good ambience and service. Sea food dishes are normally costly and it is the same here also.

Ordered appam kadala, received appam veg curry. Appam was not fresh and the curry was meh

I recently dined at Kettuvallam, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. I opted for their "Fish Curry Meals," and I was blown away by the flavors. The fish curry was perfectly spiced and had that authentic Kerala taste that I was craving for. The use of local spices and ingredients. The "Neymeen Fry" was a standout. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the frying technique was spot on. It was crispy on the outside while remaining tender and flavorful on the inside. It paired wonderfully with the tangy fish curry.

Our experience here was not good. After ordering two chicken fried rice, we waited for 30 to 45 minutes.

Food is okay.

For Customer service, i will give 2/5.

One of the good restaurant with good food in affordable price in South ernakulam. The biriyani, fride rice where not upto the mark but there chettinad,pepper chicken especially with Kerala porotta ( they serve soft porotta 👍) was good.

We tried the kanthari special kanji.. one word explosively spicey..
But packed with flavour. The meals is also nice. Must visit and kanthari kanji is a must try

They aim for something different with their buffet, which usually is standardized elsewhere, and this may not be to everybody's liking. Some of the stuff was good while others were OK. They had live music on the night we were there.

The restaurant is very good with respect to food, ambiance and excellent service. I had veg meals, it is awesome and the sambar is different then other parts of Kerala, and also they provided meals in a big banana leaf and the taste of subji is also superb. The restaurant is famous for its sea foods, I tried squid, the taste is superb and I highly recommend this restaurant for your meal at Cochin.

Went there for breakfast! Service was quick with friendly staff. Not much options to settle for breakfast.

Cashier speaks multiple languages and makes you feel comfortable.

Affordable and one of the good veg restaurant you can find in the city center. Ordered Paneer parota, it was presented in a different way, loved it. Then tried Chilli Idly, which tasted like Manchurian, very spicy!

Had one of the best sea food meals ever. No car parking facility they provide. You will get good fish fry here. Price they charge is very high, but the taste and quality for the food have no compromise.

This is a review being written right after returning back home after lunch buffet at Kadaloram today at 2pm.

Without any iota of doubt I am straight away giving one star for the restaurant situated at the heart of kochi . I will explain the reasons why below .

We were a family of 5 + a toddler( including two senior citizens). We had come here with food lunch buffet vouchers in hand given to us by Bandhan Bank as a gift. We mention to them well entering the restaurant regarding the vouchers. They acknowledged them and latest to a 5 member sitting area. Before I speak about the bad experience that we had let me talk about the food and the reason for the one star rating for the food.

The meal is a pure Kerala buffet, and not any other cuisine. While this is not a bad thing but please ensure whatever you provide is good and upto the mark. The food is not at all hot or neither being heated during the lunch in spite of having a provision of heating. On asking feedback form this snapped back at me saying they don't provide any forms and neither take any feedbacks.

We had a lunch we provided the feedback of heating and were about to leave at the lift entrance, when one of the staff members (new guy and not the guy we informed at the beginning) approached our dad and asked him for payments. Our dad gladly handed over the voucher letters to the staff member. The moment the staff member looked at it he taunted back at a dad saying "why didn't you tell me earlier". The reason I am using the word taunting his because the weird face expression that he made. When he continude the same attitude I intervened as well, and explained to him nicely that we did mention to the person in the restaurant while entering.

I later complained to the manager Mr.Rajmohan at the reception as well. He immediately apologized for the behaviour on behalf of the staff.

The reason I'm writing a 1star review here is that no matter what the circumstances are, what the background of customers are, whatever accepted ways of payment they are doing, there should be zero discrimination by anyone on customers.

I do understand that the staff member probably did a mistake by printing a bill which was probably not needed, but again that IS NOT a customers fault. I do also empathize with him if you would have told us nicely about his mistake. But at the heat of the moment he try to put that blame on the senior citizen customer and said there are no Feedback forms available .

Hence considered this more as a feedback and improvise. I will never return back to this restaurant even if you provide free meals for my entire lifetime , but kindly empathize with me and treat customers equally.

PS - I am myself a corporate employee having platinum membership in 3 major top-tier hotel brands across India.

Not bad,Nice food but the waiting time was little bit high. I Had ordered Steam rice and Chilly chicken and i got it after 10 minutes even though there was no rush. Chilly was an average one. Staffs are friendly

Worst restaurant ever. You'll like the taste and flavour but wait for 4 hours. You'll surely get diarrhea or probably die from food poisoning. Don't eat here if you wanna see your loved ones healthy...

Just don't....

I had a dinner here on 03/02/2020, it was disgracing. Firstly the food served is not what I have ordered when I highlighted the wrong serve of food, instead of accepting the mistake they were trying to sell the wrong food . Cut long story short they replaced curry by then main dish got cold, I end up order main dish again bu the time it reaches my table the curry got cold.

Kerala food in all its splendor at value for money rates. Love their tapioca, coconut chutney, fish curry n everything else. Coming here for more tjan ten yrs.

This review is for the restaurant only, a Mixed experience for sure!The wait staff, service and food quality was as expected and good. The ambiance is clean and functional with a direct view of MG road and the metro trains whizzing by, make it an interesting experience. We had ordered wheat parrotas, ginger chicken and prawns.However I have to point out that ordering wheat parottas and getting served half order as regular and half as wheat, was downright not ok. Hope this is rectified and such mess up of orders is not overlooked. I did check again on the parrotas only to be insisted upon that it was wheat! Some room for improvement.

Its good for fish items though the rates are like star hotels! Koontal fry is a must try, sravu varutharacha curry was good too. The prawn fry is just an utter waste and they charged 600Rs for a prawn fry! Its too high compared to the taste and quantity, Meals were well and good. The parking is bit difficult here.

A good option for sea food cuisines near MG road Cochin. Average time for any order is 20-30 minutes. Slightly crowded during lunch time.

Cons: Biriyani and fried rice items are below average.

Awesome food but missing North Indian wheat roti that is rare in South to found. Tea is superb and serving is traditional.
Veg omlette is new dish I tasted here only,all they are serving remains tasty as been served with very much love and care..!!

Its a place for pure keral food buffet. It was the first place I chose to eat lunch on my Kochi trip. Its not a very huge buffet but the variety is good. Curd rice, banana chips were really yummy. One should visit to try authentic keral food.
