Best video game store in Rochester, MN! I’ve stopped in quite a few times over the course of a couple years and every time the workers have been friendly and knowledgeable. I recently took my PS3 in to get it jailbroken and everything works great. Definitely worth checking out.

Tons of retro games…that’s what I was there for…but nothing is priced. You have to bring the games you find to the counter to the kid who rings you up. He hardly told me the price per game…just gave me the total. Really weird system. I would have purchased more had I known what the prices were.

Legit 100% store for your gaming and figure collecting needs. They have so much awesome stuff and for good prices that are cheaper than NerdinOut.

Came in to buy a GameCube for the nostalgia. First off, they had EVERYTHING I wanted to purchase. Secondly, the guy working was 10/10 the best at his job. He was super knowledgeable, and extremely nice. He helped me with a cord problem I was having as well. I would recommend this business to anyone, it’s hands down the best gaming store I’ve ever been to. I can’t say enough good things about the service I received, or the experience I had. Brilliant place. Brilliant people.

Rochester is so lucky to have this place, don't get to stop as often as I would like but when I do it's always a great time. Made a special trip a couple of weeks ago to specifically play in the arcade and had a blast. Give the arcade a try, the retro games selection is amazing, even had some light gun games I didn't know existed. Look forward to stopping again soon! You can bet I'll be bringing this place up at 2d-con in August.

This location is so nostalgic! Took my teen son to hang out and kill some time and we had a blast! Lots of two player games! I love the flat fee aspect over tokens or quarters! I could have let my son play games and I could have looked through all the games and gaming systems all day!

I’ve been shopping here for years… but I placed an order for 2 speakers … spent over 500 dollars just to get one speaker and wait over a month for the next speaker . Was told it would be at my house by a certain date, that date passes and now they want me to purchase another one to get shipped to the store also by waiting for a refund I never asked for… so I’ve gotta spend another 250 on a speaker while waiting for a “refund” that I never asked for. All I wanted was my final speaker lol it’s ridiculous and they were paid for a month ago.. unacceptable

You have to love it when you go to buy a cable and get profiled, followed by AP the entire time you're in the store, proceed to purchase the cable and then get approached by Greece PD in the parking lot. Always a lovely time at this Best Buy.

Walked in, asked someone where the Roku devices were. Chose one off the shelf and headed for the checkout. Checked out and left the store. No problems.

Darren at the cell phone and phone accessories department was very knowledgeable about the products for sale and available warranties available. He was very helpful and could multi-task helping multiple customers at once with a friendly demeanor. He appeared so knowledgeable, I thought he had been working there for years. It turns out the he has only been working at Best Buy for a couple of months. Hats off to the Best Buy management team for a great hire!

Went and bought a small deep freezer yesterday, no one in that department had to go to cell phone area where there was 4 employees working, luckily for me the young man was willing to come help me. He was very helpful in answering my questions and cashing me out. I was a little annoyed that the store only had 1 style or size in stock.

Great best buy just low stock on certain items. Such as the GOVEE lights. Luckily, I was able to snag the last one.

I was a little disappointed. I received a drone for Christmas and I was told Best Buy had spare batteries considering my drone only has 20 minutes of flight time. Super fun if anyone is considering the hobby. The entire shelf of drones was cleared out, so I wanted to talk to an employee who might know if there's another area where they keep spare batteries. I should mention that these drones do not take regular AA or AAA. Anyway, the employee I flagged down didn't seem too happy to be assisting me. I asked for the product, he knew nothing and had to resort to the Internet..... Fair..... But it was just the attitude that was presented.

as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a sweet girl unfortunately I do not remember her name, she was so kind and informative. she directed me as to what area to look in and sent another staff member to meet me there for additional help! she and I spoke after for a few minutes and her perspective on her job, customers and simply life was a blessing to me! it was last Saturday December 16th just after they opened, so if anyone knows her please extend my gratitude 🙏

What a neat place! I was in town for a conference and checked this place out. Tons of great games and vintage media! By far Machine Shed has some of the best selection for a wide assortment of media types. They also have such a cool setup with awesome displays and odes to the past. I didn’t have time to check out the arcade, but I’m sure it’s cool! The staff were very helpful and friendly and even showed me some neat things they had just gotten in. Shout out to the team for doing my GameBoy Color screen mod the day I stopped in! Be sure to give this place a visit when in Rochester!

I found The Machine Shed by Googling fun things to do in Rochester. I brought my kids there and paid $10/person to play in the old school arcade. We had a blast and stayed for two hours. There is a big variety of games available, something for everyone! They also have a huge variety of old/classic video games in their store. My kids enjoyed looking around at everything in the store too. If we are ever in Rochester again we would definitely go again, and I recommend The Machine Shed to anyone looking for a fun and unique place to go in Rochester.
