Tight airport, very hot and cramped in the summer, few lounges. Not a hub airport at all, with only one pharmacy on terminal 1, but you have to leave the boarding area. The heath is unbelievable... investing in some AC would cause no harm!

You have frequent buses to places around. Be sure to book in advance online. I spent 45mins waiting to realize that the bus was full and had to book online for the next bus before it was full. Omio app can be used to check multiple bus options operated by different companies.

I've flight from this airport 3 times. 3 times Air Serbia flight was delayed. They don't make sound announcements in English. 2 times they've changed a gate 1 hour before departure. They gave a boarding pass with one gate and in reality it was another. Without announcements, I remind you.

All other things is good. Wi-Fi coverage, bus to the city nearby, comfy coaches.

So secure and strictly. Online service is faster as on the desk. Once you have your valid ticket, there is always help on the way.

Very nice and clean big airport. To reach city you can use some new private fast and more expensive train or public transport. And if you have bought day pass (always optimal one, 3 days in my case) you will still have to buy additional ticket for the public train. And when in train they told me that I need to go to second class cabins and that happened to all around me so we were herded to other part of the train ... that should be included in day pass as people will use it maximum two times per person so it does not make any sense.

Super tidy and well organized airport

IT WAS AWFUL. I never had such a stressful experience anywhere in the world, in any airport. My Austrian Airlines flight from London was delayed by about 50 minutes on some obscure and never clearly explained reason. So I only had about 10 minutes to get to my connection flight to Varna (also Austrian Airlines). The problem is, on the way from arrivals to departures there isn’t a single information board that would tell you where your departure gate is. I was running like mad and eventually found one such information board, in the end of this rather large airport opposite to the gate I had to run to. And, by the way, Austrian Airlines business class lounge is really mediocre (obviously, I only had a chance to experience it on the way TO London). The only kind of warm meal you can get there is a soup. And there is plenty of booze of any kind to go with that soup. But, to be fair, the views from the lounge are good.
