The temple is a peaceful retreat with stunning architecture, creating a serene atmosphere for spiritual reflection.
Mangeshi Temple or Shri Mangueshi Temple is Lord Shiva temple located in the Mangeshi village in Ponda region of Goa. The largest and most visited temple in Goa, it is built in the honour of Bhagwan Manguesh, the Kuldevata of Gaud Saraswat Brahmins. The deity is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva, whose name was derived from "Mam Girisha" the words used by Goddess Parvati when Lord Shiva made a successful attempt to scare her by taking the form of a Tiger.

The Mangeshi Temple complex also houses shrines of Goddess Parvati and Lord Ganesha along with other deities. Lord Shiva is worshipped here in the form of Shiva Linga. This Mangesh Linga is believed to have been consecrated on Mongir mountain along the banks of the Bhagirathi River by Lord Brahma. The 450-year old temple is known for its stunning architecture with grand domes and a magnificent water tank.

One of the best and calmest places.
The temple structure is awesome.

You can visit this place in the evening. You will feel relaxed here.

There is no connection between the Mangeshkar family and this Mangeshi Temple. As per the records the temple was established in 1560.

It has beautiful surroundings. A beautiful lake is there and the architecture talks all about its beauty.

Beautiful temple in the Mangeshi village. It’s a Lorn Shiva Temple which is maintained by Mangesh Family and community. (Lata Mangeshkar )
There is a strict dress code in the temple. Girls cannot wear short dress. They should cover their legs.

Great place, great temple to visit and get blessed. This temple is of lord Shiva. It is iconic and ancient it resided at Mangeshi which is located nearby Panjim. Good to have a private vehicle for it. Rest good place to explore and there are washrooms which are chargeable. There are various shops for shopping kaju (cashew), masalas, etc.

This place is ancestral village of lata mangeshkar. There is big school near this temple. In the way to temple there are lots of small shops which sells different items like purse, toys, gifts, cloths, food, googles etc. Temple architecture is very beautiful. You are not allowed to take photograph inside the temple.

Nice place to visit. Finding a car parking slot is challenging due to the crowd, but you can take lunch in a nearby hotel and park there😊
Overall, it was the best experience. You will find peace here.

Its a hindu temple where you can park your car and then walk for about 5 mins. There are steps so it is not wheelchair friendly.

There is temple with maharaj inside and not really a big queue to visit here. You can directly enter, take darshan and leave. The campus is pretty big with couple of buildings on bith sides of the temple. There is also a pillar of diya which is found in front of most Hindu temples.

There are vendors outside the temple for Goa magnets, clothes, goggles, shells, etc.
