Veryy poor infrastructure.... actually there is no infrastructure just old depot is there....no fixed bus stop

Kalyan Junction, this is a big and The station is clean, the cleanliness is good, many trains stop here, but the footbridge coming out of the station is very dirty, the tile of the whole footbridge is broken, the place is full of dirty water, there is a lot of dirt on the footbridge.

Busy railway station in the city. Kalyan station has 7 platform. In which all are used and in good condition. Platform 1A is also a platfrom where most of the trains statered from here for dadar cstm slow local. Platform 2 is used for ambernath, khopoli, titwala. platform3 is used for cstm slow local.platform 4 is used for ambernath, karjat, titwala, platfrom 5 is moslty used for cstm fast and platform 6and 7 is also used for fast local to cstm. And for superfast train moslty trains for up, amristar and many more come on platform no 4.which is moslty used for departure for all the places. Platform 5 is used for arrivals for all the trains.

Kalyan Jn Railway station is in Thane district making it an important railway station in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The station code name of Kalyan Jn is ‘KYN’. As part of one of the busiest and populated Indian states, Maharashtra, the Kalyan Jn railway station is known amongst the top hundred train ticket booking and train traveling stations of the Indian Railway. The total number of trains that pass through Kalyan Jn (KYN) junction is 865.

Years ago, many Kutchis left their motherland and made Mumbai their motherland.1

Kalyanji Shivaji from Kutch Mandvi came to Mumbai in the year 1840 to get employment. The sea was till Masjid Bunder. The boat use came from the sea and stood about 300 meters away from the shore & laborers use to carry tourists on their shoulders to the shore. Kalyanji also used to do this wage. He would take 1 paisa of this labor work. On the day when it became 10 paisa, he used to work for free without taking any money. This was his oath.

One day the railway inspector Sir Anderson came to Mumbai by boat. Kalyanji brought him to the shore with his shoulder. Sir Andersen gave Kalyanji four annas, but that day Kalyanji got 10 paisa. Talking about his oath, he refused to take money.

Sir Anderson was very impressed. He gave his visiting card to Kalyanji.

One day Kalyanji felt like meeting Sir Anderson, he reached his office. They were happy to see Kalyanji. He told Kalyanji to leave this labor work and do some good work.

At that time, construction work was going on the railway track. Sir Andersen gave this contract to Kalyanji. Kalyanji did not have experience, but accepted the contract.

Sir Anderson went to inspect from time to time, pleased to see Kalyanji’s work ethic and sincerity. They used to call Kalyanji by the nickname of Kalyan.
Kalyanji completed the work 6 months ahead of schedule. India’s first train – ran from Bori port to Thane in 16/4/1853. At that time the naming of the stations beyond the police station was pending. A greeting ceremony was held on the occasion. Sir Andersen spoke to Kalyanji on the stage of diligence, honesty and his oath, paid homage to him and named the station on the outskirts of the Central Railway “Kalyan” in memory of this true man.

The people of Kutch are really proud with diligence, leaven and sincerity, the Kutchis have made their mark all over the world.

Kalyan Junction Railway Station Code Name is KYN. Central Railways one of the major station is connected to Mumbai CSMT Thane Karjat kasara. Very crowded and biggest station with 8 platform also it's having lot of good facilities like Rail Wifi , Automated Elevator , Bridge Connectivity. And it is major halt of Express Howda , Delhi , Jayanagar , Varanasi , Prayagraj junction.

Number of trains are available for all the directions in India.
Ample facilities are available .
Big Passenger Ticketing Area comprising of ample ticket windows for fast and easy ticket booking.
Also well-equipped with number of self kiosk and card based ticket vending machines.
Cash based ticket vendors are also quite good option.
The station and all the platforms are well equipped with number of ladders to exchange between different platform from both the end of the stations helping for easy exchange between platform.
Escalator facilities on the platform are one the best option added by railway and are accessible from typical areas of the station.
Elevator facilities on station end is also nice for handicapped people.
Toilet and rest room facilities are quite ample and are also quite clean and tidy and are located at good points on the platform.
Waiting areas are quite Big and are well ventilated.
Outside station number of other modes of transport are also available.
Ample amount of auto-rickshaws to take you to the further vicinity of the city are available.
KDMC or Municipal Transport is available to move to the outskirts of the city.
Aside nearby Kalyan Bus Depot also supports in getting state transport buses to take you to the nearby cities and suburban areas.
Outside station number of snacks options and restaurants are available for food and drinks which are far better then the on station facilities available.

No proper maintaining...washroom n toilet bare very shabby...
Even staff relax room are bad....
No waiting hall room for long route reserved seats....

It's huge and clean but almost always busy,which is kind of good I guess. Indicators also work properly and sometimes they mess up , there are refreshments available at the station and washroom and water facility too. Seats are also available to sit on platform.

Kalyan is an important station for almost all local and express trains.Escalator is there only on platform 1,that too is not functional many a times.A crowded place.

It's a roadways bus station. It's well located just opposite to the kalyan railway station from West Side. It's one of the most busy and crowded station. But it's very ill maintained bus stand too. looking at the commuters numbers they must give some upgradation to this station. It's well covered bus station for bad weather. Both long distance and local buses are come here. There is reservation counter and help desk also here. Station staff try to maintain cleanlyness but still too much crowd causes dirtyness here.

Bus Depot is not clean, but have good frequency for nearby areas. but for far location the bus frequency is of from 30 min to 1 hour. and for some specific location they have single bus only so if you miss that bus then you have to wait for that bus to come from that location and also some time the driver after coming from that round trip he takes break of 30-40min. One can get bus for mumbai, panvel and Thane from here.

Not hygienic as western stations nor dirty as down-side. Has WiFi connection over all platforms. Excallator is available for platform No - 1 & for first bridge.
