What is your matcha intensity ? Now you can choose your tolerance 👊🏽 Long lines but moves fast and there is a place to enjoy your food 2F. Really good level of matcha 🍵 if you are visiting , you need to try it if around the area.

Followed the recommended visit from gpsmycity. I went on a Monday, lucky to have no queue outside when I arrived. I got the 2scoops in cup with no.7 and black sesame. 750 yen. Very nice. It is very strong flavor. Uniquely Japan experience.

Another must try at Asakusa. Recommend getting the No. 6 Matcha and Hojicha (your tongue probably can't tell the difference between No. 6 & 7)
Also bought some tea leaves as souvenirs
The crowd came and left the place quickly (12 noon). There is a seating/eating area at their 2nd floor

I ordered three double scoops green tea ice cream.
I chose No. 1,2,3,4,6,7.
Honestly, the green tea ice cream taste was normal but nothing surprised me.
If you are in the neighborhood, you can try it.
Not worth it just to go here for green tea.

Delicious Taiyaki! So crispy batter albeit a bit too thick but the creamy and not too sweet Anko filling is delicious! No wait too! Highly recommend if in the neighborhood.

i chose no. 3 matcha, which had a “perfect balance of milk and matcha”! it was so delicious and was a perfect blend of bitter and sweet for my sweet tooth. the houjicha ice cream had a great taste, it contains less milk than the regular ones you get, allowing the houjicha taste to really shine! the houjicha tea tasted really high quality too, definitely recommend it! price wise, it’s really worth it for 2 scoops of ice cream in a cone! i got these two items for less than 900 yen! also, i wouldn’t worry too much about the queue (there will definitely be one) as it goes by pretty quickly!

I really enjoyed the delicious delights served here. Despite the queue it went relatively quickly. There are options of the intensity of the matcha ice cream being served from 1-7 with 7 being the most. You can’t get a double scoop of the 7 so you will need to get an alternative flavour and it’s also 100 yen more for the most intense matcha which is a bit more bitter. The service is super polite as expected and there is a toilet as well as an area upstairs for you to enjoy your ice cream and tea

This is the second time I’ve eaten the kakigori here. It’s so delicious!!! The peanut butter berry cocoa one is definitely a favorite, 10/10.

I had a wonderful time at Suzukien trying their green tea and black sesame ice cream. I’ve been to a few places in the US that try to recreate this as soft serve. It’s close but nowhere near Suzukien’s distinctive levels of green tea ice cream intensity. It’s quite unique. The line moved quickly, the staff’s instructions were clear, and I had my ice cream within a few minutes. There’s also a nice lounge upstairs where you can enjoy your food. I had a nice time at Suzukien.

Visited during a winter morning, and the place was full with locals and tourists. We waited in line for nearly 15-20 minutes to try their ice cream.
This shop is offering seven levels of matcha ice cream flavors, with level 7 being the award-winning flavor. We ordered a few levels, and I was pleasantly surprised. Despite expecting level 7 to be bitter, it was surprisingly natural and rich in matcha flavor.
If you're a matcha lover, Try it out!

Walking distance from Asakusa Train Station.
Interesting flavour of Kakigori option.
Love their Yummy Taiyaki azuki beans.

Had the oshiruko (red bean soup) and oden with coffee. Coffee was surprisingly good, and the oshiruko was not too sweet. Oden was great for the westher at that time.

Excellent succulent rice balls. Their dessert bowl is not sweet, really suits my likings. Authentic.

we got the sakura matcha kakigori + caramel :0 the star of the first was the red bean paste for sure, caramel mirrored the taste of bingsoo (more used to it) with condensed milk and all! would recommend matcha milk or caramel if you’re not into solely bitter/matcha flavor and want some more sweetness :3 staff was friendly and kind and there’s an english menu

Dessert shop near the sensoji of asakusa Tokyo. Great choices for kakigori. Got the strawberry and the matcha red bean. Both were great. Expect each to be around ¥1000. Rapid service. They seem to request at least one order or drink per person, however, it did not seem like it was actually enforced. Very small space but with comfortable wooden seating. Cash only.

Very quaint little cafe run by women. Affordable and tasty treats served in stylish sets. A peaceful break from the heat and crowds of Tokyo.

I had an early dinner here as I wasn’t very hungry. The oden and yukari rice set was tasty and light. I also tried their Nishiyama special dessert set which was delicious as well. Both sets came with a cup of tea. I recommend coming here for tea time as it’s a relaxing environment that’s calming and peaceful after a long day of walking.

Really enjoyed the taiyaki and matcha shaved ice. Friendly service. Need to line up for about 20 minutes to get in. Worth a try.

Nice kakigori in a small unit with around 5 tables. English menu available

Even I don’t have the sweet tooth, its handmade mochi mixed with ice cream, seasonal fruits and sweetened beans still entice me to pay a visit. The whole bowl is an authentic culinary delights as each ingredient is freshly made and all of them strike a perfect balance when mixing with each other. The customers can control the sweetness as the honey is served separately. Definitely worthy for another visit in near future.

Walked in this randomly after walking in the cold, wanted to get a cup of hot tea and matcha ice cream. From the moment I walked in, the host was super uber friendly and nice and hospitable!!! Very patience when we order my snack. I don’t have pictures because I have already finished my tea and dessert, but this shop deserves all the stars :D!! Please come here if you are ever around, sitting here makes you super relaxed, satisfied and zen… ☺️

Ordered shaved ice with sakura paste and matcha cream cheese. It was yummy and full of cream inside. The rest of menu looked good too, for instance peanut butter shaved ice.

Found this little gem on the last day of my stay in japan and couldn’t be happier. The owners are so friendly and the place is quiet with just one other table of customers (but interior is must bigger) and well-kept despite being on the Main Street in asakusa. We talked to the owner, who informed us that the shop opened in 1852 and he’s the sixth owner of the store. Wish we found this place sooner but nevertheless glad to have come. The desserts here are reasonably priced and a highlight, if not the best I’ve had in my trip! Will definitely visit again; this shop deserves so much more!

when in the area I always opt to do a walk by to get an ice cream w azuki sandwich! one of the best i've had in JP and they change the ice cream flavors so check it out often for new ones!
