Five challenge rooms (per set of which there are 2) set in a 1920s hotel with a challenge behind each door was awesome! A marathon indeed though, do bring water and remember to breathe in between each game.
.
🖲 The Cubes - Memorize the pattern and repeat. Tip - step back against the door to zoom out
⚾️ Carnivalley - Noughts and crosses, 3 players at a time complete against the computer by throwing balls at the screen
🔮 Adore a Ball Pool - you want tall people for this hilarious game
⏳️ Scrambled - scrabble but strictly 4 letters using cubes
🎹 The Piano - our favourite game, at first we thought we had to repeat the pattern, nope identify the song, multiple choice
.
Great team bonding challenges, groups of 4-6 would be great in certain rooms, divide and conquer. Minimum is 3 people. It's all go go go from the moment you enter the road (push on red light) be ready to shoot if you want pics, limited time before/after the timer starts.
.
💡 Tip - wear activewear, for this is a workout. Compact for speed and shoes you can run in.
.
The entry was fun, and the bar stunning. Every activity we did tonight (bowling, mini golf, hotel hijinx) had their own bar and it was awesome! 🍸

Had my bucks party here a few weeks ago. One small hickup on the night, but management contacted me to make sure our experience was made all positive.

Definitely would go back. A lot of fun at the challenge rooms, and the other places like Holey Moley and Archie Bros also fantastic. Drinks are priced to the standard of most places, staff are friendly and accommodating, and the activities are fun.

Everyone in our group enjoyed it and would recommend for others having functions and events.
It's not an actual hotel!! Instead it's an interactive game experience decorated like a hotel. The place has multiple different rooms, each with its own type of game. For example in one of the rooms they played a snippet of a song without the lyrics and you have to guess what song is it from the multiple choice options within the time limit. Once you have completed 5 rooms, you tally your score and see how you fare against the leaderboard. In our case it was an office team outing so we compete against other groups. There are more than 5 rooms but we didn't get to see what was inside the other rooms.
Would highly recommend for team bonding activities but not suitable for under 10 years old as the games can be quite difficult.
Great venue, the game rooms are fantasticly fun, great staff and overall great night. Highly recommend hijinx to everyone. And a big hats off to the enthusiastic bar staff for their eagerness to learn to make B52 shots! 👏

Last night my friends and I visited Hijinx Hotel and we genuinely had so much fun!

We decided to complete 10 rooms, which I personally believe was well worth it in comparison to only doing 5 rooms. The first 5 rooms go quite quick and leaving you wanting more. All up, the 10 rooms took around an hour, with each room being around 3-4 minutes in each room.

Rooms are well decorated and the puzzles and activities are great fun!

Definitely wear a t-shirt or store your jacket in their pigeon holes because you’ll be doing a mini workout in some of the rooms - it gets warm!

Our game hosts were lovely and great to have a laugh with. I didn’t get their names, but shoutout to them for being great hosts!
(They’re in the hallway pics lol)

We will definitely return, especially if they were to change up the rooms every few months or so! :)
Not worth doing it for an hour. Some games cater to kids more than adults, it can get warm very quickly if you move around the room. Possibly being a Saturday it was busy and not managed well. Great photo ops
Such a fun experience!! Very unique & quirky. Staff were lovely. Definitely wear something easy to move in & not too hot, most of the rooms require lots of active movement. What a workout! Very enjoyable.
It was a bit of fun for a one off, but I went in with higher expectations, so was a bit let down. It was cute and some rooms were better than others, but too short of an experience for the price IMO.
All three of us agreed. It was a bit of fun, but wouldn't rush back.
