I came the US 15 years ago and used to shop here, but got frustrated by the disorganized and messy nature of the store. I should not have to move 20lb rice packages and piles of cans to get my cart through an aisle.
Can't even fit a cart in The frozen food section.
I came back today and it is just as unpleasant and difficult shop there as it was 15 years ago.
I'm still hunting for an alternative grocery store to Phonecia. If anyone has a suggestion, I would appreciate it.

I recently visited this store, a halal grocery and meat store, and I am thoroughly impressed with the improvements they've made. The store is now exceptionally well-organized, making it much easier to find products. The aisles are spacious, allowing for a more comfortable shopping experience without the usual hustle and bustle.
What sets this store apart is the addition of a small prayer room. This thoughtful inclusion shows their commitment to serving the needs of their community. It’s a convenient feature that allows customers to maintain their religious practices without having to leave the store.
Overall, it has significantly enhanced its shopping environment, combining practicality with cultural sensitivity. It’s now my go-to place for all halal products.

This place is something else, visited on 07-04-2024 in morning, asked the attendant and owner why the packing date is 08-04-2024, they say it’s production date.

Be careful they will double charge you! It is a very nice store with different spices that will add to your pantry. BUT, when I counted the items on the screen versus what I had in my basket the lady charged me double for the Shan Bihari kabab spice mix. I brought it to the cashier’s attention but the guy there brushed it off and rushed me out. So rude. Not to be a stickler but it is just principle. Especially if a store is trying to take advantage of the shoppers who are not from their country or speak the language.

These guys are awesome! Such a huge selection of products at great prices.

It is my observation that folks here generally are friendly towards Arab customers but for non-Arabs they rather not interact - “buy and leave!” attitude. Today during my visit here, I asked a cashier a question but she didn’t speak English so sent me to the manager, who looked at me, looked away and then threw a short, unfriendly reply without making eye contact then went about his business. It is important to note that before me, he was talking to an Arab customer with a wide smile. Such a shame!

One thing that make this place unique, is that you will find random things you may have difficulty finding elsewhere. This place may not be the cleanest, but the customer service is five stars. I have been coming to this place since 1999, almost 23 years. This place has never changed much, but the love for organic and authentic olives or olives oil, dry seeds, and fruit may be the reason I love this place. They have a restaurant in the back if you like grabbing food while shopping. Overall the prices are reasonable compared to other halal stores, and this is another factor that makes this place so attractive.

This is for the RESTAURANT inside the grocery store. One of the best meals I’ve had! I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always delicious. Ayman and team are friendly and gruff in their own way. They treat you like family, good or bad! The lamb chops, the spicy chicken, special shawarma, falafel, and even the house yogurt are made to delight the tastebuds.
This is a classic hole-in-the-Wall restaurant and it’s no secret. Most middle eastern and south Asian folks know this place very well!
