I am a current assistant guide at this school and I can genuinely say… it’s the best! All of the guides are so passionate about Montessori, and this is the most authentic Montessori school I’ve ever come across. The children are truly happy, independent, and self motivated. Maria would be proud. The school offers lots of paid for training and supports your professional/psychological growth to the max!

Looking for a great school, you found it here.

Amazing! I love my time there. I am a 6th grade student there and I love it! It’s a very welcoming community. I love hot lunch and I love the new spirit store. I have so many friends there. I hope they bring back prayer buddies though.-Meghan O’Neill 6th grade Class of 2024

I can truly say I would not have graduated high school until I went to Fusion. I had an amazing team of teachers that supported me the entire time I was there, and Kevin served as my wonderful lead teacher and mentor. Having a one-on-one teaching environment was key in my success throughout my junior and senior years here.

I have enjoyed Fusion overall it has been a great experience for me especially the one on one classes. All the teachers are great especially Kevin. He has been there not just for me but for all of the students for when they needed his help and support with school work or just life.

Our experience at Fusion Tysons has been exemplary. More than 3 years ago we transitioned our high schooler from home school to Fusion and we can’t say enough about the faculty and staff. From individualized learning programs to social and emotional support our son found a “school home” we never thought possible. Bravo!

We are currently at Fiore Montessori School and have been in both the toddler classroom and a primary classroom for a combined four years. This has been a fantastic experience. (Fiore also has an elementary classroom, and this program is so inviting that it makes me as an adult want to join in on an outdoor and fun educational experience.)
Fiore is a school with great leadership and talented and caring guides and staff. The Montessori approach is carried through every space and element during the child’s day. My children have been empowered to become independent, creative, well-rounded and enthusiastic about learning. I see tremendous strides in practical life areas, sensorial, language, self-expression, cultural and math. I hear excitement about what lessons were received and the work my children participate in each day at school. Everything is tailored to the individual child so that the interest level, pace and amount of challenge is considered, while each day the children can decide on what he or she wants to do in the classroom.
We also appreciate the bilingual nature of the school, with Spanish-speaking assistant guides in each classroom.
The school has a lovely garden for the children to experience during time outdoors. I always hear stories of discovery, social interactions with peers and inspection of nature taking place here.
There is order, organization and solid communication from staff. I appreciate the e-newsletters, parent-teacher conferences and school-wide events. Everyone is pleasant and responsive with timely follow-through. The parent handbook is comprehensive, well thought-out and a valuable resource.
Throughout the year, Fiore offers presentations and discussions to parents on an array of continuing education topics, like how to continue Montessori methods at home and also demonstrate to parents how materials are used in the classroom. They welcome your questions and value your input as a parent.
The school is clean with high quality Montessori materials that are so inviting of curiosity, focused work and eventual mastery.
There is a very nice community of families that send their children to Fiore. We were happy to find Fiore after much research of local schools. I highly recommend this school and believe that they whole-heartedly embrace the Montessori philosophy and truly dedicate the time and effort to ensuring each child works toward his or her potential.

OLGC is an exceptionally good traditional private faith based day school that was founded in 1957 and has got a great atmosphere that kids love and the school has got great teachers and staff.

Great school, Great teachers and great atmosphere!

Fiore provided such a wonderful foundation for our daughter, who attended for a year, before we relocated out of state. Our daughter is now an independent, kind, wicked smart, loving, respectful and calm child most in part due to her time spent at Fiore. We learned ways to communicate with our toddler that didn't result in meltdowns and resistance. Her curiosity is wonderful and her ability to adapt to changes is just some of the things I can thank Fiore for. We visited many, many Montessori schools and I can honestly say neither of them stacks up to Fiore...by far. I admire how this school stays true to the Montessori philosophy and provided opportunities for parents to learn, for instance, how to adapt the technique at home. I miss it dearly and we are forever grateful for the experiences our daughter had there. Fiore did so much to help our daughter grow, and I have to say we are much more aware and educated parents now too. Keep up the great work!

Our daughter has been in the "MyHome at Fiore" program since mid 2014. Our experience here has been phenomenal. The teachers are very well trained. They really love what they do and are responsive to feedback. The owners are very passionate about the Montessori teaching philosophy and their dedication to the program is apparent through frequent interactions, special programs offered for parents and the way they run the school. The entire Fiore staff is very caring and attentive to the extent that's possible. The classrooms are very detailed oriented incorporating the best quality materials. The school offers healthy snacks and follows a philosophy that helps keep distractions at bay. The kids learn to focus on a multitude of skills through carefully prepared classroom activities. The outdoor space is great and during the summer months, the kids have the option of doing their work outside on the patio. We are looking forward to seeing our daughter grow and flourish in the Fiore community. We would highly recommend this school to anyone that believes strongly in the Montessori method of education. We researched a lot of schools before picking Fiore for our 3 year old and are very happy with that decision.

We researched Montessori schools in the Northern VA area for our daughter when we moved to the area last year. We found a shocking range of quality amongst institutions calling themselves Montessori schools starting from day care like establishments using some Montessori materials to top notch schools like Fiore for tuition that wasn’t hugely different. Fiore definitely came out on top and has great infrastructure and facilities and its easy to see how money is being invested back into the school. In addition, we observed that the Montessori philosophy was strongly emphasized and practiced. Our daughter loves her school and looks forward to going there. The teachers are great and there is structured feedback and interaction with parents. We would highly recommend Fiore for parents looking to give their children a stimulating and structured yet non-restrictive environment to learn and grow.

Our son started attending the Full Day Toddler program at Fiore Montessori School since May 2013. We are extremely satisfied with the program offered at Fiore. There are several aspects that set the school apart from others. It is wonderful to see the importance that the school gives to outdoor activities Children can find ways to be content and entertained without much of the standard outdoor play sets. They learn to observe nature very quickly. The snacks that the children eat at school may not sound too cool with your colleagues at work, but hey, the children learn to pick healthy choices very soon. Our son is a fan of broccoli! Also, the toddler environment at Fiore was extremely instrumental in helping him achieve toilet independence within a couple of months of joining the school.
No review is complete without mentioning the teachers and their assistants in this school. While most of the teachers hold AMI certifications, their assistants do a great job as well. Our son is extremely fond of the staff in his class. Now a days his imaginative play has gone well beyond to including just his parents and grandparents - we are glad to hear his teacher, the assistant teachers and classmates as characters in his play.

Being that we have 5 children, we have been able to experience each grade at OLGC. On all levels we are extremely satisfied. The caliber of the teaching staff and the education our chidren are receiving is superior. We are excited about the many middle school enhancements. We are also very pleased with the Chrsitian example and teachings practiced throughout a typical day. Along with attending weekly mass, our kids are taught Religion on a daily basis. Also, the community at OLGC is like no other. It is a very special and welcoming group of amazing families. We are so happy to be a part of it all! Amy & Tim McConville

My daughter has attended OLGC for a year now, and she loves it. Their language arts programs and mathematics programs seem quite strong. My daughter enjoys the science lab and computer lab. (And playground.) The teachers and principal clearly care about the students. And I really appreciate that the good academic performance goes hand in hand with a strong Catholic faith formation.

OLGC is a faith based school with excellent academics. The faculty and staff are caring and incorporate Catholic values into their lessons regardless of the subject. My children have been very happy there and are very prepared for high school. In addition to rigorous academics, the school prepares students to be giving, caring people with an emphasis on community service. There is a focus on the Church which allows the children to be confident in their faith. We can't imagine our children anywhere else.

We enrolled our daughter at Fiore when she was 16 months old. We couldn't be happier with the school, the teachers and the Montesorri classroom. She is happy to go to school every day and my husband and I are thrilled with how well she is doing. We toured 7 or 8 preschools before deciding to take her to Fiore. I didn't know anything about Montessori before starting our school search, but after learning more and observing the children in the classroom, this was absolutely the right choice for us. I am still amazed at the natural way the children learn and the independence, respect and self-confidence that is created and nurtured in the classroom. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a safe and nurturing environment for their child...... Update! November 2016.... Both of our daughters have been attending Fiore since they were each 16 months old. Our oldest is now five and our youngest just turned three. We have been incredibly happy with the school for many reasons. However recently something happened that blew me away... Three weeks ago our girls woke up early. My husband and I were still sleeping when we heard the girls in the kitchen. I walked downstairs to find our oldest stirring pancake batter at the kitchen counter. My little one was throwing the eggshells away in the garbage. This was one of the proudest mom-moments for me. The were working cooperatively and both so independent with their individual tasks. The fact that she knew exactly what to put in the batter, plus some applesauce, which actually made the pancakes fluffier when I cooked them! They pushed the "Tower of Learning" around the kitchen to get the eggs out of the fridge and the chocolate chips from the cupboard (who doesn't want chocolate chip pancakes?) There are many positive things about our girls that I can attribute to what they are doing at Fiore, but this was one of the biggest and most exciting examples/steps in their development. I love Montessori education and I feel Fiore is one of the best Montessori schools in the area.

We searched high and low for the perfect school to send our three children. These are the things about this school that we thought surpassed our expectations: the teachers are passionate about creating a challenging, yet safe and fun learning environment, the outdoor environment is incredible (you have to see it to believe it), both indoor and outdoor environments are spacious! The teachers at this school are warm, loving, but also come with a solid background in Montessori education. They provide a true Montessori experience, even if your child is in the extended day, or summer/holiday program. They are 100% Montessori based. They are absolutely plugged into us as parents and really care about providing us with very specific information about their daily activities.
We enrolled our 2 year old child at Sunset Hills Montessori this past January and the environment was so stressful and disorderly that he cried every day for 2 weeks. We ultimately decided to remove him from the school thinking he was just not ready. I enrolled him just two weeks ago (July) at Fiore and because of the skill and calm, confidence of the teachers, my child hardly cried at all! They love it there. I love seeing my children so happy to go to school!
