Great war memorial to WWI

Such a lovely and respectful memorial for all those that ultimately lost their lives. Some information boards do not have English translations, so use Google translate camera to read.

A breathtaking experience! Visiting the Eiffel Tower was a dream come true. The iconic landmark’s beauty is even more mesmerizing up close. The panoramic views of Paris from the top left me in awe. Truly a must-visit destination for anyone in Paris.

Beeindruckendes Denkmal für den 1. Weltkrieg

En passant devant ce monument aux morts, une seule pensée nous vienne à l'esprit, c'est le grand respect pour les soldats français qui ont perdu la vie pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, des sculptures représentant des scènes de guerre, des soldats en uniforme, et des allégories symbolisant la liberté et la victoire.
Son emplacement au Trocadéro lui offre une vue panoramique magnifique sur la Tour Eiffel et sur la ville de Paris, en faisant de ce mémorial un lieu de recueillement empreint d'histoire et de beauté.

A somber place to visit, but I am so glad we took the time and opportunity to add this into our schedule. As someone from the US, to see a memorial for those sent to the camps was heart-wrenching. I am glad there is a memorial dedicated to their lives. Its free and not very large, but if you take the time to read through the exhibits which are in a few languages, it's worth spending a bit of time here.

Interesante memorial de uno de los acontecimientos mas tristes de la historia, se encuentra en un pequeño parque a espaldas de la catedral de Notre Dame, vale la pena darse una vuelta y reflexionar.

L’un des plus important et imposant monument aux morts de la Capitale, en hommage aux soldats morts pour la patrie durant la Grande Guerre. Facile d’accès et très bien entretenu. Respect à eux. À voir

Magnificent war memorial commemorating the glory of the French Army in The Great War. This imposing monument, more than 5 metres high, is situated on the external wall of the cimetière de Passy.

The monument consists of nine figures. Several of these represent different branches of the French army incuding a Poilu (infantryman), artillerist, engineer and colonial cavalryman. The central character is a female warrior armed with sword and shield (perhaps a representation of La Marianne). The final two figures are a woman supporting a dying (or wounded) naked man.

The memorial can be accessed directly from the Trocèdero metro station. Follow signs for exit 5 Cimetière de Passy.

Unfortunately, the Memorial closed during our visit. It was renovated due to flood damage.
The small park was very nice and quiet! Good to have a rest, from the tourist crowds at the Notre Dame.

It is a space that realizes the cruel traces of World War II. Not only the photographs and exhibitions of the time, but also the special structure, it is possible to feel the fear of the prisoners. I think that this space of cruelty and horror is not created underground. It is recommended as a place to visit rather than a restaurant in Paris.
