Simple thoughtful memorial set by a main path near the Ancient Agora.

I mean anything honouring those that lost lives is worth seeing and paying respect too

An important piece of modern greek history and a good reason to have this memorial. Nice idea to have geographical locations from greece carved in the stone to commemorate the deportations and massacres inflicted upon jews in the time from 1941-1944. Sadly, this reminds myself too much of the tonns of stones at the jewish shoa memorial here in berlin and this is just not my style. I find this not adequate enough for such topic.

The memorial is nice, but I was pleased to note the lack of graffiti, especially since there is so much of it in other parts of Athens. That showed respect.

A very small park. It's opposite an historical cite.

It is beautiful . A small monument inside the old town of Athens. If you are passing by stand for a while. The only thing that I didn't like , when I was last time in the monument it was quite dirty.

Not easily seen and if it was not for the sign outside the trees we would have not known what it was. A pity as probably overlooked by most tourists focused on the nearby ruins and archeological site.

This is actually erected for jewish comunities all over Greece that perished in the Holocaust -not just the one in Athens. Situated close to the modern synagogue, always kept clean and tidy, it stands as a solemn memorial reminding us of those dark pages in European history.
The memorial is only a few feet away from the main gates of Athens, so a visit there offers you a wonderful general view of one of the largest archaeological sites of Athens: Kerameikos.
