micromanagement, lack of help from management. wrong people on places who don't even interested in real bioscience. I saw people playing with the mouse or sleeping at their desks during trainings in 224. some departments are great tho. learning department is great.
many professionals have left after seeing the inside of the company.

I am not associated with this company in any way, shape or form. But these people harass pedestrians every day. A simple thing such as walking past the building on the sidewalk and looking at it will immediately trigger an unfriendly reaction from the security. They will make up lies such as that you are trespassing even though you are on a public footpath. They will even call the police and business watch on you, when you take pictures. Taking pictures in public is a basic human right in England yet these people think they can take it away. Absolutely appalling behavior from the security.

Lonza, the most pathetic company at the trading estate, the only good thing about them is the fact that they have a nice site, apart from that they get angry after people stand outside of their stupid massive site, they take pictures of you to which after you try to request them under the gdpr law they dont respond, they say your not allowed to stand on land that is clearly publicly accessible, security have no SIA on display, security taking pictures, security going beyond property boundaries, security not responding to emails requesting pictures under gdpr, security saying they will call the police even though no crime is committed. Crazy, absolutely crazy.

As a place to learn the ins and outs of biologics manufacturing and release to market it is an excellent place to work. For most that are to be employed here in a scientific role you will pick this up in a few years. After this point you will start to see that there is a sharp plateau in innovation, agility and flexibility which brings any kind of learning to a swift halt.

This would be fine if those in management didn't outwardly communicate the complete opposite, that there is plenty scope for professional development and scientific learning, which many will take at face value being their first industrial job. This underpins the larger problem with this site which is that it's internal marketing is contradictory to the actual nature of the work. This is further evidenced by career progression that is heavily tied to managerial bias since there is no measurable merit based on scientific ability and effectively comes down to their feelings about people on the day - insecure leadership married to overmanaging compensation.

The outcome is very poor retention, micromanaging managers with little to no self awareness that are unwilling to acknowledge and take on board feedback in a meaningful way and a scientific knowledge base that gets atrophied away by "The Lonza (Slough) Way". This can vary from department to department and more so from site to site but certainly the Slough site exemplifies this paradigm.

In short if you have a hunger to develop your scientific knowledge steer clear. If you want a "Biopharma CDMO Degree" then do 2 years and go. A few years outside the company has solidified my view even further and until they fully embrace the retention issues or the retention issues affect the returns of the business it will remain a terrible place to work for 20% of the people employed there.

The extra star is only for the genuinely excellent training department and some of the employees that they seem to attract based on the Lonza brand but fail to retain based on the experience of working there.

They don't pay up there employees. Theifs Rajan Sohal and Ajay Sharma, not picking up the calls replying the msgs If someone dies they don't care, fraud star this is the way you live lavishly, by not paying someone's hard earned money. Karma will come don't worry wait and watch. Radhe Radhe

Shocking service! They don’t care how the tests are done, just charging for sending a certificate with no credibility. Even that, they cannot deliver on time! Avoid at all costs and authorities should really investigate as they are not doing what is supposed to be done!

Don't go for this fraud company. They will deliver the results on time and fake results. Avoid.
