Seeking a rewarding destination for my latest 12-hour walk (inspired by Collin O'Brady's book), I chose the enchanting Caponi Art Park. Open Tuesday - Sunday from 9 a.m. - dusk May - Oct., this hidden gem surpassed my expectations.

While I only had a chance to glimpse some of the amazing art, the park's true magic lies in its captivating trees. The lush greenery and serene atmosphere offered a much-needed respite during my day-long journey.

I'm already planning my next visit to fully immerse myself in Caponi's charm. If you're seeking a unique and inspiring destination, look no further than this hidden treasure.

I think this is a really interesting place. It's a beautiful area, and the art is obviously subjective depending on you. The only downside is personal... I like having a clear understanding of what my path is going to be. If I'm going for a nice walk, it's nice to know a general route.

We love walking through this park. Lots of interesting sculptures through out. They have different work shops and performances at the park throughout the season

Hidden gem. I live waking distance. I drove past this park for 5 years before I decided to check it out. They have a nice view of the Minneapolis sky line. That is very neat. Rarly busy. Lots of neat artwork
Art Block was a great time

It's a nice park. Well kept. They need better in park signage, but it was fun. And free. They do take donations.

The nature trails are beautiful and well maintained. The grounds are well kept. The statues are in pretty rough shape, and it appears they've had some serious vandalism over the years. Currently there are wild blackberries growing along the trails and they're delicious. I'll walk the nature trails again.

This is a beautiful park for hiking. The art along the way is wonderful and also blends in the surroundings in a wonderful way. There are pora-potties available near parking lots and gathering areas. Google maps first took me to the entrance area where the skate park is. I drove back to the art park entrance and that was a quick way to hiking trails and to the art installations.

The skatepark looks like it's in great shape but I don't skate so all I can say about that is that the concrete looks smooth and the rails seemed sturdy and it was clean.

I look forward to attending an event at this park sometime.

Free! Art, sculptures, nature, trails, flowers. Lots to love here, the private residence here is of architectural interest. Most of the "best" art installations are around the shed and home. Trails are interesting, dog friendly place, several picnic tables to relax and unwind.

Take your time to check out all of the artwork and nature around! It's a fabulous walk, and I bet it would be stunning when the leaves change. Pro tip 😉: from the parking lot, walk directly under Diffley Rd, not toward the trees (opposite side of Diffley from the parking lot). There are so many paths to explore!

My wife and I have regularly been taking classes at the Eagan Art House for about a year now. We started with a Mystery Art Night where we made coiled clay pots, and continued with beginning watercolor painting.

We’ve had a blast learning watercolor and it’s become my wife’s new favorite hobby. Looking forward to many years ahead participating in classes here!

See you there!!

We've been here a couple times for open house art projects and kids camps. This place is amazing for the kids and I'm excited to take some of the adult classes!

Superb! Pottery class is so relaxing & therapeutic. You can work at your own pace, be creative as you wish. Several instructors to select from with differing methods, talents. The studio has a variety of glazes. You definitely learn a great deal whether you throw on the wheel or hand build or both.

The Art House makes me incredibly happy! I started doing ceramics there this past fall and I don't think I will ever look back! I have felt so encouraged and welcomed in everything I do and try there! It has allowed me to try new things and to improve the things that I want to work on. The encouragement that I get there is truly a beautiful thing! I am very grateful for it!
