I don't recommend family or caregivers to utilize Alvita Home Care for any services. I beg you do not put your loved ones with this agency.. They are disguised to look like a real company but in fact they are not. It is my belief that they are operating as a shell company to look legit. Their customer service is nearly non-existent.
They have a call center located in the Philippines and the chance of you speaking with a coordinator or a worker based in NY is zero. On top of that the recruiter, Jenni, is unprofessional. I have dealt with home care agencies for the last 20 years and this company, Alvita home care has massive red flags. Please avoid at all costs!!! Good luck everyone!!!

Home Instead proved to be an incredibly reliable service for my father and his spouse for more than two years. At first we utilized them 5 days a week, but over time this grew to 7 days a week as their help proved to be invaluable. From simply providing compassionate care to help with walks, meal preparation, bathing, managing prescriptions to so much more, Home Instead was there for my dad when my siblings and I simply couldn’t be there. There is also one person in particular that I must single out. That is Trina Jackson. My dad and his spouse Carol truly loved her and I swear she kept my dad more positive and more enthusiastic about life. In fact, I’d say she was one of the main inspirations that kept him alive and kept him going from day to day and month to month. Home Instead and Trina Jackson are the best!!!!

Home Instead Manhattan has provided services for my husband since 2018. They are a very professional and caring agency. My husband has a dementia diagnosis. The assigned caregiver helps with activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, etc.) as well as companionship. They assign the same caregiver thus providing stability for husband. The agency has a nurse who makes home visits. I have never used any other home health care agency due to Home Instead's responsiveness.

This is the best home care agency I've every been apart of. They listen to your needs and do all they can to help you help the clients. This is a great agency to work for. I highly recommend.

I was discriminated against by staff at a hospital they sent me too. I was only there for two weeks before I was lied on and fired. When I spoke my mind and stuck up for myself cuz no one else would I was so called warned smh. As a black person you can be called a monkey by Spanish staff and that's ok with them!!! I would never work for this agency or that hospital again. They don't care about you paying your bills or having food to eat!!!

My family hired Home Instead in Manhattan to take care of our elderly father who lived in an apartment with his partner. Myself and my siblings all lived far from NY - Los Angeles in my case. Dad was nearing 90 and needed daily care, but he adamantly did NOT want to go into a nursing home. We understood and hired home care through Home Instead to keep him at home with his loved one and this worked beautifully. We had Trina, an absolute treasure, during the week, and Joseph, a kind and patient man, on weekends. My father, a curmudgeonly old sports writer, was not easy to handle, but Trina was patient, kind, funny and she loved Dad despite his foibles. He absolutely adored Trina and would do for her what he would not do for us (like wear clean clothes). Dad went into the hospital in in late January and we all flew in to be there as much as we could, but we kept the Home Instead support throughout his stay so that he always had a familiar person at his side. This made all the difference. He passed peacefully on Sunday morning and three of his kids were with him. Trina had cared for him all week and she is like a sister to us now. We love her dearly. I want to thank Home Instead and their office staff, including Balbina, for constantly remaining in contact in all situations, including changes in schedules, medication issues, etc. This gave us such peace of mind with dad so far away. Home Instead is a well run organization and they provided exactly the service they advertise and more. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to care for their parents while keeping them at home.

Common them in working for this company is that if you are someone of color you will be treated differently.
For all of the brave ex employees who have used their voice and reviewed I admire you. If looking to work at Alvita stay far away. Constant turnover and the employees treat you with no respect because you are beneath them.

We could not have asked for better care for my FIL in NJ after ending our contract with a nightmare aide service. We worked to coordinate everything with Kate Feola and she was phenomenal. The communication was fantastic, and such a refreshing change. Onasis was one of our main aides and he was wonderful with my FIL. I'd definitely recommend their services!

Home Instead is one of my best agencies to work with in NYC. I would love to recommend it for anyone looking for Care for their loved ones or anyone looking for work has HHA. Max and Francesca are doing a great job and also rest of the staffs in Home Instead Senior Care.

Not professional company. I work for Homepro and this company guaranteed staff for nyc job. They pulled a no show! My company wrote them a review. They threatened to write bad reviews if it was not taken down. They have now left to bad reviews of company i work for even though they never used our services. Companies beware of there unreliability and there tactics of retaliation if you leave them a bad review! After reading reply, I have been informed they will be also filing suit for damages of your NO SHOW and defamation. I will be happy to sign affidavit on our experience with your company!

Horrible company that left me high and dry and new job. Promised to have a crew for me and pulled a no show. Weekend job, nobody in the office to help. Barely got a sorry a week later. The has the audacity to leave bad reviews of company. Never used my services. All be warned !

Don’t even work for this agency suspended me with no apparent reason. All I know you can’t start working before doing a drug test. Be careful if you try to call out , they’ll suspend you without any explanation and no one picks up the phone! Lack of communication with this agency and unprofessional!!!

Alvita care provides good care to their patients when and wherever they are. They also have good trained coordinators and care givers as well. Working with Alvita care, gave m e more experience. NANA BROOKMAN although I don't know her in-person but she's a great and a good coordinator who does her job professionally.

BrightStar has provided my special needs adult daughter with nursing services for the past year. In the midst of the pandemic, they were able to keep her shifts covered and the quality of the nurses provided has just been fantastic! Management has been amazingly easy to work with. Alvita Care gave us peace of mind when we needed to find a wound care nurse quickly for our elderly father's return from the emergency room. Both the administrators and the nursing team were clear and helpful communicators. We are especially grateful to the nurses for being so patient with our father. I would stay away from using TPF nursing agency. I used them for a contract position knowing that I would not be in New York long term. Pay was laughable, but the work was meaningful so I took it (and don’t regret it). However, TPF bounced their checks multiple times without apologizing and never reimbursed. A bit shady if you ask me. If you need a short term contract position, look elsewhere.

I work currently for Staffpro and I can personally vouch for them! Wonderful place to be employed and the staff are so very helpful! I get my hours, make my own schedule, and it works for me being a mother of four! My paychecks are great as is the pay for my level experience. The scheduler Yana has always been so wonderful and gone above and beyond for me. They answer my questions fully and with facts and asks around before she replies if she doesn’t know personally the answer to my questions. I have been extremely pleased with working for this company! The pay is outstanding!! If you need something you can schedule yourself and love elderly with a license to care for them, Staffpro is your place! The places I go into also very welcoming as is the staff. You will surely not have to worry about hours especially at this time of pandemic 😷

Personalized service and caring staff!! BrightStar was able to fulfill my mothers needs for 24/7 care within one days notice. The owner Toby answered all of my questions and calls personally, and was available to speak at all hours. I will definitely be calling them again if the need arises for my dad.
