The receptionist answering the phone was very non emphatic and robotic about providing customer service. Was not patient to listen to my entire question before over speaking to provide assistance. Her energy alone made me dismiss her with a thank you and good day, to avoid having to continue talking with her. So sad:(
The Brooklyn Bar Association really did help me find a lawyer within my budget who works within the court I needed. So far, so good. Only the start.

One of the best rehab programs
In all of my experience with calling BBA, They NEVER match you with an Attorney who could help your case. NEVER!!!!! It's a total waste of time!!!!
The lawyer referral service attorney assisted me in getting right to the heart of the matter and proposed a straightforward and cost-free way to resolve it after months of fruitless attempts to find the best process to address my issue and speaking with numerous people, each of whom had a different opinion on the solution. My house is now again a peaceful place to live because it worked so well. I thank him from the bottom of my heart for this gift, which has made me feel humble and full of appreciation.
As an attorney in CA, I needed advice from a NY lawyer. I was very pleased by the prompt referral from the Brooklyn Bar Association, and even more pleased with the consultation with Mr. Mark Friedman. Thank you!
I called the lawyer referral service about my custody matter. They actually answered the phone, were very polite and put me in touch with an experienced family law lawyer. I am very glad I did not try to find a lawyer on my own! I would use them again.
I was able to reach my lawyer through a referral from the Brooklyn Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service.

Although my case did not warrant hiring a lawyer, he took the time to explain how to achieve results on my own. I was able to ask follow-up questions, leading to a better understanding of my previous research. Although I am hoping not to have to hire a lawyer any time soon...he would be my first call.

I feel overall blessed to be here but the smell and constant stench on the 11th floor is unbearable! They are neglectful of this floor because there are some tenants that are part of a wonderful woman’s shelter and do not pay attention or focus on the very basic higiene normalcies as they do on other floors. It constantly reeks very strongly of feces and they continually do NOTHING when anyone tries to address it…!!! It’s deplorable!!
It was easy to get a referral and the attorney allotted plenty of time to understand my issue. He provided insights on my case, and suggested a few strategies to avoid litigation. As it turned out, I didn’t need representation, but it was nice to know where I could find competent counsel

Excellent Experience with this space.
One of the only places with a grass field and I love that. Has parking, bathrooms and bleachers. I love photographing semi-pro football games.
Good afternoon and how are you doing today well as for me I am just fine well it is like this you may have some people in here that need some medical help in here between them not taking these medications and you have some problems with teens but this is a bless wounldful place that they are running here and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here from Miss Bernadette McKnght

My boys played with this team great coaches🤩🤩🤩🤩
The Doe Fund's Ready, Willing & Able program is magnificently phenomenal. I'm a "Class of 2001" alumnus and I had the honor and privilege to serve as staff for 5 years both as a C.I.P. site-supervisor from 2002-2004 and a House Manager from 2004-2007. I'm forever grateful to God, George & Harriet McDonald for developing their brilliant life-saving organization - The Doe Fund that began in 1985 and has helped thousands of men since the opening of 520 Gates Avenue - Brooklyn back in 1990. Since then The Doe Fund has expanded Ready, Willing & Able programs to Washington, D.C. opened 1992 and closed 2000, Harlem 1997-present, Jersey City, NJ opened 1998 and closed 2010, Philadelphia 2001-present and Porter Avenue - Brooklyn in 2003-present. I can only hope that The Doe Fund considers returning to the State of New Jersey because it was the best program ever developed here. The Doe Fund is truly way ahead of its time but its right on time. So to anyone especially in New York and Philadelphia take full advantage of the opportunities that The Doe Fund has to offer you because most states aren't as fortunate to have such privileges as you do. May God continues to bless George, Harriet, the staff and The Doe Fund on making ongoing progress and saving lives!

Love the team
This program is great for getting your life together
certs references, they give you food, automatic jobs and they pay you for working. its only 13$ an hour but hey its better than what you make now so go for it.

just don't use your cellphones or do drugs i never used my cell on shift and i don't drink or do drugs so yeah...the ones who did use their phones they got suspend for 5 days. if you do drugs or drink and they piss test you. you're getting 30 days after a while they kick you out. if you are in the day program you got one chance to mess up and your done.

This program has plenty of sites to work at
metro tech good for hour good supervisors sadly i only worked there a few times

Bag team worked there once because i had worked a 12 hour shift the night before they gave me 6 hours i was good with that

The Hudson is good for people who love to sleep until 12-1pm and can do a 3-11pm all the supervisors there are good accept 1. Im not gonna say his name but if you work on the Hudson you will find out who im talking about. dont ever think that you are safe in there that person uses you, gasses your head up and if you slip up one time he's gonna throw you under the bus and you may get suspended for a day for something so small even though you busted your behind in the cold or heat
lucky for me that never happened. he almost did not give me his personal number for a reference after i did things that were not even in the job description. His boss had to make him give me his number so i could use him as a reference don't let the Hudson side track you from what you really came there for. do your job and abide by the rules but dont brown nose you came there for money, a cert, a job or references.
Seat are hard. But ok

This Y on third Ave has had a scaffold all around their building for over a decade.
This scaffold provides a living rm for vagrants
And bums, which use it take to drugs, drink and eat, leaving their garbage for RATS..
Mounds of pidgeon waste line the sidewalks,
As the birds use the scaffold to nest..
This is a huge transfer of bacteria and disease.
I remember when this Y had a bit of class, & was home to professional working woman.
Over the years it has become a dumping ground for the State, for distrubed women who really should be in sheltered care.
Hence the stabbing murder that took place last year.
This building is a disgrace....

Yes I'm saying God bless all of you at the YWCA Brooklyn also Sister Strength which is located at 30 Third Avenue Brooklyn New York 11217. I have forgiven you for what you've done to me and I am sending you these beautiful roses. I give you 5 stars too. Peace and love to you all. YOU'VE made stronger thank God for everything.
Its a good program but there are a lot of rude and disrespectful people in there who want to be in your business and act like this is a high school. they are also very discriminatory towards the LGBT community but let certain things slide when it comes to other things like racism, sexism, cat calling and just over all being ignorant

I was lucky enough several years ago to b able to rent a room here at the YWCA. They had rooms for women only here now I've heard they also have small studio apartments for rent. Don't know the prices. Many of the ladies either worked or were on ssi /disabilty. Only bad thing was you couldn't have male guests in your room but you could visit with them in the big TV room. You cooked your own meals. With a mini fridge in your room but communal kitchen and shower. They had great view from the rooftop sitting area.
I lived Their for 9 months had a great Experience Met beautiful people made some money with Ready willing and able
An excellent homeless shelter as well as employment program.while the program offers everything it says it does, they are a little withholding about the 'graduation' process as well independent living. It has a no exception 10pm curfew as does all NYC homeless shelters. I found that a big negative factor for me. It was difficult to travel home to visits while making curfew with no overnight passe.
