Each week, representatives from your church come to my neighborhood, Mount Pleasant in Washington, DC, to share their message. I understand and respect the importance of spreading faith; however, the extremely high volume of these gatherings has created significant disruption for our community.

The noise level is so intense that children struggle to sleep, and families find it difficult to enjoy peaceful moments in their own homes. All of us have to close our windows—even on nice days—and the effects can be felt throughout a quarter-mile radius.

I respectfully ask you to consider the impact this has on our neighborhood’s well-being. Please, I urge you to find ways to continue your outreach in a manner that is mindful of the peace and comfort of those around you. We all value the diversity and vibrancy of our community, and finding a balance would go a long way in preserving that harmony.

I was searching for a church to fill my spiritual life and growth. I had been to several churches but they left me empty inside. I was invited by my co-workers Sis. Shawdae and Bro. Sean on my new job Winter 2016. I decided to attend with my grandchildren. On my first visit I was so filled with joy and moved by the service, the preaching, the welcoming of Pastor Joseph and Pastor Ranti that I knew I had found my church family. It is now Winter 2024 and we are continuing to grow in the word through the scriptures of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jubilee is a vibrant church with vibrant people! I am grateful to have been a member here for nearly 5 years. This ministry focuses on one thing, pleasing Jesus. Coming here a person can expect to experience GOD's love and manifest presence, sound Biblical teaching, genuine fellowship among believers, serving the community, and reaching the lost.

I have gained lifelong relationships since coming here. My family has had difficult moments over the past few years, but I am beyond grateful for the brothers and sisters in CHRIST here who supported and lifted us up. This is a wonderful church to be part of!

I joined Jubilee in 2018. I was invited by a friend who was a part of our church’s college ministry at Howard University. I did not grow up in church, so I did not know what to expect. When I arrived, I learned the importance of reading the Bible, studying, worshipping through songs/music, praying, and consistent church attendance. I was surprised to see that at Jubilee, people were so happy to come to church and worship Jesus. Jubilee cultivates an environment where everyone is welcome and empowered to develop a genuine relationship with Christ. I was born in Mexico and we have people from many countries in our church. But before coming to Jubilee, I despised myself. I used to struggle so much with insecurity, anger, and anxiety and I resented my identity. My pastors have always been accessible and they labored for years with love to teach me the truth in God's word. The Lord met me here and today I am confident, happy, and growing every day in God's love. My life has become a testimony! With my church's support, I was the first person in my family to graduate college, I am the mentor of a campus ministry, I am working in a career I love, I have so many amazing friends, I was supported through a very difficult time in my health and fully recovered by Gods grace. I am certain I am walking in God's purpose for my life. We are family.
