The worst massage I ever had!

I got a 60 min massage last week from Tom. I walked into their shop and since it was my first time I was asked to fill out a couple of forms which I did. Tom waited and from the corner of my eye I could sense the impatience as he glared at the form. Once I finished he greeted me and took me to one of the back rooms where horrible, disrupted, lazy, soft, amateur pressing and guessing went on for an hour. I specifically told him to focus on my shoulders and upper back area and he focused on everything else but that. First 20 min he was just feeling my body trying to find god knows what, and the rest of the massage was pretty forgettable. I asked Tom at least 3 times to put extra pressure as he was pretty much just running his hands without really doing much, he would nail me with a short-lived pressure and then it was back to fairy hands. I guess Tom was tired as I was his last client of the day and maybe he needed a massage himself. At around 57 min mark he did the slap-the-back thing, and said finished, goodnight, and walked out. I thought it was just my personal experience and other masseuse would be better, but today my wife went in for her massage with another masseuse and it was just as bad. Never returning!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I booked the 3 pm service and had mistaken the time for 4. I realized it 20 minutes past the scheduled time and called the store to apologize for my mistake. The store told me that the therapist was still in and that I could still proceed with my appointment if I came within the next 5 minutes. I said ok and thanked the person on the phone; the call ended at 3:22.

When I walked inside the store at 3:30, the receptionist then told me that the therapist left. This is the moment when I decided to leave this one-star review. The reasons are listed below:

1. I am fully aware of the store policy and was ready to accept the consequence when I realized that I had the wrong appointment time. However, I would have NEVER wasted my time driving all the way to the store if the receptionist didn’t tell me that I still could.

2. I arrived at the store 8 minutes after our phone call ended. Why didn’t I receive any phone call or message if the therapist had decided to leave within those 8 minutes? Terrible communication.

3. The receptionist was very rude with her delivery after I arrived and didn’t even say sorry for my time wasted from driving all the way there, nor for her lack of communication.

Mistakes often happen from the customer’s end or the business’ end. It’s not a make or break most of the time until there isn’t any effort being put in for conflict resolution. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in how the receptionist handled this situation so terribly.

I received a massage from Sasa to address my lower back pain. Her expertise and unique hand techniques at the pain points were exceptional.Her focused approach and unique hands techniques provided significant relief, and I felt the tension melting away. I highly recommend her services to anyone in need of a massage. Booking was easy to do online and receptionist are welcoming and they do direct billing. Overall, great place for massage.

My husband and I were very satisfied from our last visit. Vivian was incredible and made sure to hit all spots and made us feel comfortable throughout the whole massage. After this experience, we are definitely coming back and to book with Vivian .

Went here for 1hr massage. Very relaxing. Max did a great job to relax my muscle and experienced relaxation for the whole 1hr. I will come back for sure. They do also direct billing to my insurance blue cross. Thank you Max.

I have tried many massage places but I was never as happy as I was after this visit. The therapist was great and worked on all my aches. The facility is also very clean and the receptions are very nice to deal with. I will definitely be back.

I love the professionalism, the cleanliness and the friendless of the staff! I’m always greeted with a smile and conversations as if I’ve known the staff my whole life! The massages put me to sleep, that at times I’ll wake up catching myself drooling! 😩😩🤣🤣

My back feels great every time I come here. The prices haven't raised much more than before covid so still affordable.

Brian is a great massage therapist. It's hard to find an Active Release Technique (ART) therapist. It's a bit pricey, but well worth the money for Brian and his ART work. He is very knowledgable and has a lot of experience. I have no experience with other therapist, so can't speak about them.

I have been going to Balanced Living for number of years. People are nice and professional. Clinic is very clean with extra precautions for COVID, and I feel very safe during my massage sessions.
Brian is the best massage therapist I had come across, he always finds my tense spots to work on and is a valuable help to my stress and mobility. Other therapists in this clinic are also very good, so if Brian is not available I would not hesitate to book an appointment with another therapist at Balanced Living.

My wife and I have been coming to Balanced Living for a number of years. I work in a high stress job and carry stress throughout my back. Brian and his amazing team can always find and provide me with relief. The best massage is often the one you walked into the clinic not quite feeling that you needed it but walking out knowing that you actually did and feeling all the better for it.

I have been searching for a massage therapist to go to regularly and and visited Balanced Living for the first time today. I was really happy overall.

The receptionist is professional, kind and very bubbly.

I made an appointment with Brian and I was really happy with his service. You can tell that he is very experienced and well rounded. He talks you through what he is doing, why certain areas may be hurting, what to do and how it helps. He educates you from start to finish on what you can do to decrease and/or prevent these pains on your own. The education piece is a first for me - thanks for the tips!

This place is great with customer service! They want to make sure your concerns are addressed and you leave relaxed and happy. I will be returning. I am very happy :)
