Nice grocery store. Well laid out and easy to find what you’re looking for. Staffed seemed nice but did not offer assistance. Self checkout was easy and lots of parking spots in front. I also like how discounts auto applied without a membership.

They don't respect their prices and they think that because you're Latino you can't read... the manager doesn't respect what her price posters say.

I only go in for the Bushes Honey Beans because I can't find it elsewhere. I always buy 3 to 4 cans because I use them in some of my recipes. It never fails that a worker looks in my cart and makes a dirty face because the amount I buy and point frank I could be careless, but I find it very stupid and rude.

HORRIBLE experience, my dad who's been shopping at this store for years was RUDLEY told to leave all because he took a few bags. If it's 40 cents that needs to get paid for good customer service, then let me know where I can pay that please and thank you

I have never seen a grocery store or a business in general this terribly managed. I have had nothing but issues within the past couple months, before it was great which leads me to believe someone else was unfortunately put into management. My last pickup 4 bags were forgotten to be put in my trunk. Therefor I had to come back the following day - I work 60 hour weeks hence why I do pickup for lack of time. I was given a $10 gift card so this is the ONLY reason I came again. It is 3:45 - already been waiting 10 mins, I get a phone call that it’s going to be 30 more minutes and they wanted to give me a “courtesy called”. My pick up was for 3pm-3:30pm how is this a courtesy call??? The worker who called me was very sweet and she had just arrived to work therefor there is no blame to put on her. I don’t want to put any blame on the staff as they are always courteous, but when I spoke to the manager she was nothing but degrading and just showed she didn’t care. But come on, I don’t want to say the job is easy but if it was smoothly ran before seems like the change in management was idiotic. I will be avoiding his Ralphs like the plague now, unfortunately it is the closest store to my house. It seems like “something small” but having constant issues and with such a heavy work schedule I don’t have time to waste for someone who can’t do their job right. PLEASE demote whoever is “managing” this store.

Ralph's now requires that I take the time to get my phone out and scan every item that's on sale for digital coupons. I do not want to use my phone to shop for groceries so I will no longer be going to Ralph's.

This is a great market and I drive across town to shop there even though there's 3 markets that are way closer to my home.

When I first walked into this grocery store, I was stunned. It was beautiful, clean and spacious. It was if Gelsons and Costco had an offspring this would be it. The selections are plentiful and neatly arranged. The aisles are as wide as Costcos so there are no logjams. The employees are great and they seem to love their jobs. It’s perfect.

Either vons nearby are much much better nicer and cheaper.
Just go to vons/superior/smart n final or pretty much anywhere a else.
Dont bother to call them either, it took me over an hour with a machine that only directed me to an empty line, to finally talk to a person and even if you talk to anyone there's probably still no point.

I placed an order through Instacart. The shopper had difficulty finding items such as bananas, Roma tomatoes, yellow onions. Several Kroger items as well. Bacon, fresh green beans, frozen mixed vegetables, croissants to name a few. My husband worked in the grocery business his whole career. Someone doesn’t know how to order. My next weekly Instacart order will be from a different store.

Worst Vons I've shopped in California. Only had 2 of the 11 items I needed. Service is horrible! Unfriendly and unhelpful employees in the Deli. The bathroom is unsanitary and dirty. Where is the mgmt team at this location? Just horrible!

Restroom for customers was in the stock area and unclean.
On the bright side, Self checkout had no line and the produce area was well stocked

Von's, at Gaffey Street, San Pedro, California, is located between 13th Street and 12th Street.

Von's used to be very reasonable on food, meats, fish, chicken, vegetables, fruits, dairy items, juices, etc. But now the prices went up so high just like everywhere else.

For that reason, I can only shop here for few items and shop somewhere else for other items I need in the house.

Their bathroom stuff are more expensive now, too. I only buy them here when they're on sale.

Von's has a pharmacy for anyone needing to fill a prescription or vaccinations.

I like their Starbuck Coffee. I sometimes, stop their once in a while, for coffee while I am in the area.

Von's has a big parking lot for every shopper, plus a special parking for disabled personal, in the front of the store. There is also handicapped accessible doors in the front.

Albertsons meat section is great! They have plenty of good quality meat for less! Staff are nice, they have well organized store and free parking on-site.

Vons store is one of the most cleanest place I’ve been visited. Nice people, good fruit, very fresh and juicy . All very organized. There’s a Starbucks inside so get your coffee and get your groceries!!!👍🤗😁

Above-average supermarket, with good selection, always a bit more expensive than neighboring Ralph's, no self-checkout. The people who work there are the reason you feel good shopping there. If I was just basing the review on the staff, it would easily be 5/5.

Came back during end tail of Covid. A great place to shop. Away from the crowd. Cleaner and neater than moat stores. Prices are reasonable, but many good temptations availablr may kick you off budget if you have such thing. Great service at the cashier from Christopher

Does the wonderful place! The staff here are helpful. They even recognize you if your a regular. So it makes me feel special. And if they run out of the food or the diet Snapple I like when they fill out a rain check and then I had expired rain checks and they still honor them. Just be very careful in this parking lot. There's a white kid with blond hair that was going around trying to destroy the parked cars with his skateboard and also spitting and urinating on cars. I called LAPD as soon as they saw it was a white kid they did not rush to do anything! People of color and women beware when you go to this store cuz you will be treated differently. And please report if you see this white kid with blond hair destroying cars. Or doing anything bad.

Pretty disappointing this time around with the cake. No they do not have Pokemon.. I decorate the cake with the toys.. Over 5 yrs Feb-June I always order a cake with marble and chocolate double layer without no fillings and non dairy wip frosting. Haven't had a issuse until last week for my son cake.. It was a new decorator and she told me that they never do a marble and chocolate or half and half.. Sorry to hear that. Sad part is my regular guy was put of town that normally knows how I like my kids cakes and it has never changed in flavor over 5 yrs it has always been the same..Mind you that is 5 months of cakes with 3 months of 24 count cupcakes every yr. All of a sudden NOW. as of May 2019 Vons no longer make double layer cake of chocolate and marble cake sheet.

Love my Vons.. But yesterday my regualr cake decorator wasn't there so another person did it. Went and picked up my son cake and it was great on the top but what happen to the sprinkles on the side border. Next month gotta order another cake. My regular decorater told me she not gonna be there next month cuz she is gonna to train someone in another store.. Ahhh
