The sambal goreng tempeh is AMAZING. I want to come back and try the other vegetarian dishes, too, but it will be hard not to keep ordering the same one! Thai iced was also delicious and perfectly sweet.
Pretty good Indonesian food done up to appeal to Wisconsin. I had tempeh goreng, rendang, and bakmie goreng.

The tempeh was really delicious- deep fried with a thick batter. I had hoped for some fresh sambal or kecap manis to dip, but the peanut sauce was nice. After tasting that sauce, I'd bet their sate is on point!

The rendang was the star of the meal. It tasted very authentic - this is such a good entry point to Indonesian food. The beef was tender and the spices and flavors made my heart really happy - exactly as I hoped.

The mie goreng fell short of my Indonesian dreams. I would have loved some spice... I think if you didn't have expectations (or spice tolerance) it would be delightful. I don't know if they would add some peppers in or not- next time I'm in Madison I will definitely try. I did ask about some fresh sambal but it doesn't seem like that's something they do - in a non shortage time I think they'd give you saus sambal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall this was a great restaurant. I loved the decor - definitely would have liked some gamelan or Indonesian music but I also understand the wider appeal of not. My servers were very nice and attentive despite me coming in later than I meant to (close to closing). Overall a nice experience and a taste of Indonesian cuisine. ♥️ terima kasih untuk sedikit rasa Indonesia 🇮🇩 sampai jumpa!
Food is absolutely amazing! Service was super and they answered all our questions and had great recommendations! They really know their stuff. I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't! You won't be disappointed.
Just found an interesting Indonesian restaurant in Madison, WI. I tried bakmi jahe and keju and they were just great! Much pleasure to taste these foods with awesome atmosphere.
I believe it was my first time trying Indonesian cuisine and it was a very memorable meal! We ordered the Rendang and Nasi Goreng, and both were great. The Rendang had an interesting flavor to it that you can't easily encounter and the Nasi Goreng, despite it being more of a fried rice dish, was also great on its own.
It is worth asking for delicious Lumpia and Keju for starters. We had small plates of Daging Rendang (very tasty spiced tender beef) and Mango Curry with Tempeh and I requested less sugar in the sauce. It was delicious. The Tempeh tasted like a flavorful sausage, but is made of special soy. Our waiter PJ was great. Parking is easy. It is a quiet romantic restaurant.
Just stopped by for lunch, and it was absolutely wonderful! I LOVE lumpia, and the ones here are delicious. The meals my friend and I ordered (Indo Mac Lunch Special & Satay Tempeh) were amazing! Especially loved the sauce on the satay. I couldn’t handle the spice of mine (Indo Mac) and the server brought out their Virgin coconut drink to help, and it was just what I needed. The food was great, the staff were even better!
Great food. Reasonable prices. See pictures!! We did drive up and it worked well. Just be aware of their hours. They are open for lunch pickup but close until 5:00 pm. You can place your order ahead of 5:00, but the cooks start cooking again at 5:00. So don't expect anything ready for pickup until around 5:30. Worth the wait.
