The Guthrie Theatre is a performing arts theater, but we went there for the view.

It is free to walk in and take the elevator to the 5th floor Blue Room and then outside to the lookout where there are spectacular views of the Stone Arch Bridge and the city. Then you take a different elevator up to the 9th floor yellow room where there are even more spectacular and higher views of the city.

I recently went to the Guthrie for the first time and wow what an experience! I saw the show Little Shop of Horrors and it was an absolutely phenomenal experience!! I can't wait to go back. And aside from the theater, the building itself is nice to explore. The endless bridge, the amber room, all the windows showcasing downtown Minneapolis, the cute giftshop, etc. Highly, highly recommend!!

Great place to watch a show. I saw Little Shop of Horrors and it was fantastic! High quality acting, singing, and dancing. Main guy had roles on Broadway so you know it’s legit. The theater had a unique spin on the show which was interesting to see. As for the venue, I have mostly positive things to say about this place. It was clean, organized, pretty easy to know where you have to go, and even though there’s a lot of people it didn’t seem overly crowded. My only note is that the seats are horribly uncomfortable. They’re covered in the itchiest, scratchiest, bristly velvet I’ve ever felt. My sister wore a dress and the backs of her legs felt irritated. We had to use her sweatshirt to provide a barrier between the seat and her legs. In a pinch, you can always ask the usher for a few extra programs. My disclaimer for this theater is to wear long pants, or bring your own drop cloth. The seats didn’t hinder me too much from the amazing show though.

This performing arts center stands out with its unique architectural design, featuring striking protrusions. It’s a great spot to visit at night for the scenic views. When I was there, a jazz concert was playing, offering the perfect chill vibe. 😎

Great stop, even if you're not going to a show. Free sights! Take the long escalator up to the 4th floor and enjoy the views from the half bridge. Then, take the elevator to the 9th floor and enjoy the views from the Yellow Room!

I experienced credit card fraud from MN after making an online purchase with this shop. It's a shame too - I was hoping to pick up a few other pieces eventually. Shop with caution!

The place itself seems really cool, there are lots of interesting pieces displayed throughout the building.

After taking a class there though, it seems like it’s more designed to be a art gallery/studio for professional artists that somewhere for learning. I took a 3 hour class that seemed from the description like it was meant for beginners, but that didn’t seem to be the case. The instructor went through a demo at the beginning in about 10 minutes and quickly showed all the steps, but then it kind of felt like we were on our own. She sat in the middle most of class and didn’t come over unless I went and asked her, and she didn’t seem particularly interested in helping. Maybe my expectations were just off, but in classes I’ve taken, the instructor is usually walking around the whole time to make sure everyone is on track, but this felt more like open studio time with a staff member present. After four attempts, we were pretty much out of time and I wasn’t able to make anything. I wasn’t expecting whatever I made to look perfect by any means, but I did expect to leave with something. I think I would have been fine if I had some experience, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend for beginners.

I've been oil painting for about 10 years and am at an advanced beginner stage. This is without a doubt the highest quality art education I've found in the cities, probably across the country. They have full and part time enrollment and a ton of workshops and lectures for more drop-in/casual students. Many professional/ career artists attend courses here. The community is incredible — caring, talented, and deeply knowledgeable. All the educators I've experienced are passionate, organized, and rigorous in their teaching approach. I highly recommend any workshop with Bridget or Joy.

This theatre is so nicely designed architecturally framing the old Minneapolis and new part of it. Once can oversee the river and also anthony fall which clean the water use for the mill near the mill park.

The space is curated for one to take a pause to enjoy the city view and history of it. If I have longer time I would have actually book a ticket to watch a play in there. There is no ticket to be purchase to view the city from their bridge which is on the 9th floor which one has to take the elevator on the 4th storey.

Great selection of ceramic work from people all over the world. Friendly workers and a fun social media presence.

The Bridge for Youth is an outstanding resource for the community! Along with help to shelter homeless youth of the Twin Cities, they have grown over the years to offer so much more than just that. It is a safe, clean, relaxed environment where youth can go to find the resources they need to get off the streets. They offer case management to help navigate the resources that are out there and for youth, and will hopefully become an incredible asset for you or the person you know that could really use the help of their non-judgmental services. Do yourself a favor and contact them rightaway, it might just be the best thing out there for those that need it and it wouldn't hurt just to give them a call and see if it's right for you. I'm writing this review with firsthand knowledge, take my advice and give them a call, it could change your life for the better as I know it has for someone I know, and countless other young adults who had found themselves on the streets and didn't know were to go or who they could turn to for help. They partner with many other organizations who's goal is to see youth succeed in this game called life! Oh and if this review was helpful please give it a thumbs up so that I know itactually reached someone, thanks, and I decided to include a couple nighttime photos of the Bridge because let's face it, that's the time of day where we would be thinking about where are we gonna lay our head tonight! Front office was awesome at providing information about living here! Came in with a friend to take a tour and Mckenzie in leasing was super helpful and informative about what the building has to offer over some others in the area.

McKenzie was super helpful showing us around the place and answering whatever questions we had. The property is super nice and updated!

I do not stay at the bridge but I get services (therapy, So What If I Am group) and from my experiences the people are amazing! I also met people that have stayed/staying there that love the community! I have been going to the SWIIA group for more than a year, the help is amazing! They are amazing allies of the LGBT+ community!

I was there a couple of months ago , I’m 16 and pregnant they have a tlp program i was about to get into before i got kicked out for having an altercation with another youth , the staff are cool wished they would take mental health serious tho , the food is alright not a 5 star meal but your still at a shelter , but the one thing i did dislike was that If you didn’t want to go on an outing they’ll say you might be exited from the program but the cool part about the outings they have petty cash that they’ll spend on the youth , they provide clothes , they have and upstairs for teen moms it’s takes a little while to get up there if your still early in your pregnancy so you’ll have to be with other youth on the main floor , but otherwise it was a great experience for me besides the outings staff were pretty cool and understanding when it was necessary, and I recommend going here if your experiencing homelessness or if your a homeless teen mother go on ysn and look for available beds or just do a pop up if necessary .

Perfection! We love this place so much! Even if you don’t go to see a show, standing in the blue and yellow room is so calming. Step outside, and you can see the bridge and the Mississippi River!

If you are the landlord, do not trust one word they promise you, since they can drop the participant any time and will try get out of all the promises and “protections” they gave you when you first sign with them.
If you decide to leave the program, they just ignore you…. Unless, they need something.

I’ve lived in the Link for half year already. And I got a lot help from one of the leasing Office workers Amelia. Amelia is very nice and sweet. Whenever I have issues about the living，she's always be the one to figure it out，and she always mentioned me if I needed to sign anything by leaving a voice message. She‘s very helpful and overcame most of my problems tbh.

Sadly they would rather have teenagers outside than giving them shelter. Not all teenagers have behavioral issues. Some can genuinely be looking for shelter but these people have their ways of looking at them like they're nothing. any minors out there save your time I’ve gone from bus to bus to try to find somewhere warm to sleep.

It's an absolute journey to walk through. I went for one friend's gift, and something else jumped out for another friend. The staff is great too, available to answer questions but giving you space to enjoy the art.

They turned me away when I most needed help. I was a client for years but they threw me out like garbage. My case worker, Latrisse White, said horrible, ableist insults to me when I just needed someone to listen. I didn’t get responses for weeks or months but was told it was my fault for not trying

I'm so glad to see this is still up and running after so many years. I was in my teens and needed someone who would listen, help me to see a brighter future and to take me seriously. I loved that place and still remember my positive experience and the care that was given to me. That was over 40 years ago.

Zach has helped change my entire life …like he put me and my kids on the path to greatness …he lead me to the water and I drunk it …he supported me so very well that I didn’t need to go back to the streets for extra . I can’t believe I ran into a program like this ….I think this has been the first place to help me in MINNEAPOLIS THAT ACTUALLY STICK TO Their TRUTH/promises (meaning they are not helping people for a check they are helping because they are passionate ) ! He came with no judgment at all and was just open to whatever and however I wanted to lead my way to a better path …. I pray that god bless him with everything that he need! Zach has been great and so has his coworkers …they are all literally passionate about their job ..I have ran into the most racist people working in the human trafficking industry but this place the link I seen mostly Caucasian and I’m African American and I felt like family.! I’m now capable of standing alone without feeling tempted to go back to the streets because I now know that there are still good people out here that will listen to my story appreciate it and help me no matter what color or background I came from . Thanks guys I hope that every exploited youth or every women hiding come out and meet you all !

The number one spot to go if you want to improve technical skills and an eye for your craft. Beginner to advanced, it doesn't matter, you'll learn something valuable.

Great Campus, Great Church, Great People!

I just finished my first year of their full-time program. I've improved more than I could imagine. Also, they foster a supportive environment for people of all walks of life and artistic experiences. I've also taken part-time classes and they are also informative. It's a great place to make connections and build professional relationships. Plus there are some great students there too.

Also it is a women lead business which I find inspiring as a female art student :)

The Atelier is great, but it is hit or miss with the instructors. Some are overly critical and put you down (Stacy)

I stayed there before and all of the staff helped me go through a lot of hard things and I love this place so much. I can trust everyone there and it's super fun! All the staff are so nice and kind and they understand everything that I went through. I was glad to be there. I highly recommend going there if you need somewhere to stay, as it is a safe place and a healthy environment.

An incredible program for those interested in harnessing their artistic skills! The instructors are invested in passing along the French Academic and Impressionist tradition, giving hands-on instruction steeped in humble roots. You can find their work, student work, and the art of Richard F. Lack throughout the school. Part time and full time students receive lots of great insight from a well-rounded group of teachers and students alike. 10/10 would recommend this school!!

A very pleasant surprise. Great exhibits!!! And you do your own crawl through the studios and classes in the back. I really love this place.

Beautiful new building with TONS of amenities. Nick, my tour guides and leasing agent, was extremely helpful and new the place like the back of his hand. The management staff, namely Leah and Tanner always been there to answer any and all of my questions. Take out tuesdays, trivia Thursdays, the huge fitness center, golf simulator, movie room, and more all swayed me to drop my lease at my previous apartment and move here. 10/10.

Wow... it's changed so much. I just searched on a whim and wanted to rate and share my experience. I was a Bridge resident almost 25 years ago, then I was in Bridge aftercare, and then continued on with them as a volunteer peer educator with the residential kids and TAMS for a year after that, all while doing occasional night or two stints in the shelter care program. The Bridge gave me what I needed, and made me a better person. It was the Bridge that first inspired me to serve my community, and although I left Minnesota long ago, I've continued some form of volunteer work ever since. Many thanks...

Always a good time seeing a quality production at the Guthrie! Yesterday was no exception as we saw "Little Shop of Horrors" from the front row, which was really a blast. The facilities are lovely, getting to the theater from out of town was easy, and there are lots of affordable parking options nearby. Can't wait to do it again!

My daughter attended a summer camp here and loved it. They have a very nice expansive studio showing work by professionals as well as students. Very well organized program. We will be doing again next year!!

Summer programs are a little on the pricier side, but definitely well executed.

I was an intern for 9 months. I was so good with the kids and I say that not just from the feedback I got from the kids, but also from other staff despite how jealous they were. I was described as a FIERCE YOUTH ADVOCATE. Unfortunately, the Bridge is drenched in institutional racism. They don't help kids or families and that's shown by the what the kids say. Many staff don't talk to the kids like they're supposed to, they don't interact with them, there's no therapeutic counseling/activities/groups. To be honest and blunt, many african american and other minority workers either leave after a time or get fired because they are underappreciated. The Bridge is under new management and it's just getting worse and worse. I DO NOT recommend families bringing their kids to the Bridge. They do more damage than mending...at least while they have so many racist people there constantly ignoring the kids and telling them "they can leave" whenever they get difficult. Also, the pictures that the site has posted are extremely misleading. There is no computer for kids to access, the areas are dirty, the couches are disgusting (fear sitting because you might catch something), the kitchen area upstairs is nasty, and there are these two area rugs that are full of all types of trash. It's a shame. They don't clean.
