I get the idea of not accepting dirty toys. I had a van full of books and clothes.. It was beginning to frustrate me by what was NOT accepted. I was helping a friend who had packed the boxes and bags.. but watching people go through things and rejecting them was rather personal.. "we accept novels".. but a whole bag of them, rejected.. I grabbed the bag, groaned, walked away.. The girl called out.. "unfair disclosure".. really..? I worked with you guys about the dirty toys, You said you accept novels but rejected a bag full..!!
I litterally went around the corner to Vinnies.. parked the van and had people help me unload and take boxes and boxes of donations inside.. Feeling great to give and help.
Your prices for "economically inferior goods" are unreasonable.. Ive bought before at inflated prices from you, still ended up with rips and tears.. I'll be happy with better prices that reflect rips and tears in secondhand goods at vinnies and smaller charities, (I can sew) did I mention a wider offering of donations to browse through..? Thankyou

They do a wonderful job helping people in need, especially now with our tough cost of living.

Supporting salvation Army with multiple donations has me question giving my preloved belongings to smaller charities instead as i see cost of items unrealistically high. Comparing prices i can buy from Kmart orTarget easily for similar prices . From Budgewoi PJ pants without top 15.oo....Dissappointing.

The food is average. I got food poisoning there a few times. When I was starving and I tried to get a second meal once was told by the Manager Paul "No, you already had a meal", but others were given multiple meals that day. It can be dangerous at times, a lot of drug addicted persons are allowed to eat there, who become verbally and physically abusive, assaulting people for no reason. People have been stabbed and killed there over the last 2 years. The DJC staff Darius Keeto and Georgina Wynn were on the face helpful but in reality did not help me secure a place in the 6 weeks that i engaged with them;I spent 1 week sleeping in my car with my cats. Be weary.

I will forever and ever be grateful to this place, no one welcomed me and my family with an open heart and arms like Salvation army did. And still do, for me and for anyone in need. Thank you

I want to give a special shout out to my provider Lisa who has helped me get back into the workforce after being very out of touch post covid amongst other personal challenges.

This gorgeous lady is patient, hard working and has gone out of her way to help me multiple times purely out of her good heart not because it was a part of her Job.

True credit to your Team, I highly recommend you promote her or give her a raise because we need more people working in human resources with her nature and approach.

Thanks for everything Lisa, you're a gem and I'm very grateful xxx

A wonderful place where everyone is treated with respect and provided with whatever support is available.
The hot breakfast and lunch is served to everyone who enters the door with no questions asked.

If you are serious about finding a job, support or just information about services give them a go, they have always treated me with respect and understanding towards my mental health illness.

There are other shops at level 1/ 426 Church Street. Please update your address to correctly guide your customers to your shop instead of people keep walking into other shops at Level 1 to consult your correct location, and ask for parking resolution related to your business.
Volunteering here has been one one of the best things i have done in my life. The amount of work that is put in daily by staff and volunteers is tremendous to say the least. Everyone is so dedicated to their job and ensure that all guests leave with something and are impacted in a positive way.

Parramatta mission not only helps guests but also provides a safe place for volunteers to truly appreciate the work thats being done. If you have never volunteered before i encourage you to pay a visit.

Thank you to Monday & Tuesdays crew:
Paul, Sylvia, Sunny, Caroline, Indira, Jenny, Chao, Mikhail, Kevin, Sandra, Jack, Dora

Nice little op shop with really friendly volunteers.

A good balance of items across the store including some new items such as greeting cards and art work.

At least one rack of men's clothes, loads of children's shoes and a bookshelf full of books. Some DVDs available as well.

Did volunteer work here with a co-worker for few days.
Cooked, cleaned and served food to the people who needed it.
At first I was hesitant but after my first day, the satisfaction of working for charity and not money was sincere.

Will definitely go back in future. This time will take the youngsters of my families. So they can learn too.

It’s a really good charity organisation. Helps people in many ways. GodBless 🫶🏻🙏🌸🦋

Amazing service! I used to work here over 10 years ago and rented through them for 12+ years. They are an amazing service and I'm sad to be parting ways with them.

PUBLIC WARNING!

Avoid seeing Associate Professor Roger Gurr at all cost, as you would be wasting your time, money, and effort with a QUACK doctor.

The matter was referred to the HCCC and Medical Council of NSW. The result of their investigations were that:

"..., the Commission and the Medical Council of New South Wales agree that there were concerns with the report Dr Gurr provided..."

Gurr himself acknowledged his own errors, and refunded the gap component of his fees. Unfortunately, the Medicare component was not repaid by him to the government, thus, pocketing taxpayers' money for a lack of proper service.

Just now after dropping off my children while walking to Crestwood Primary School.
A Salvation Army 2-3 tonne truck 100 metres from the school on corner of Warrina ave and Peel rd. Parked on the opposite side of the road.
With cars and school bus heading directly in front of the Salvation Army Truck.
Watched them(2 male in hi vis vest) drive out into on coming traffic!
Safety Isn’t Their Priority😡
