Needed a small part for my car that broke while on vacation. Campsite paperwork said they would accept packages so I ordered it next day delivery. Package was sent back when it arrived at the office....Update...I double checked the paperwork and it does say NO packages. Still, it wouldn't have killed them to accept the one little package and told me I couldn't do that again and I could have fixed my car. This area isn't the same friendly place it once was.
This park is the closest to a 10 rating in our opinion. It has served us a base point for all the Family Campgrounds we have visited in the course of our travelling adventures starting in 2006. Walking the beach is one of the highlights the three of us look forward to, and we try to make it a yearly event. Clean, friendly, well maintained, safe, well appointed and continuously updating and improving their amenities.
We just got home from our 8th trip to MBTP in the past 3 years. This is my family's happy place. The location is great, the grounds are clean, and they have great amenities. My kids love the pools, lazy river, arcade, and the strawberry shortcake biscuits at Breakfast by the Sea. The staff make all the difference here. My kids always look forward to the smiley face cheeseburgers that Myles makes at the grill. Everyone from the front desk to security to the lifeguards is friendly. I also love that they restrict golf carts. It's much quieter compared to other MB campgrounds and I don't have to worry about the kids getting hit. They also have great activities, like church service on Sunday, barrel train rides, tie-dye, magic shows, etc. We can't wait for our next visit.
One of my favourite places. A definite stopping place. Wish we had more time here. Lots are good can be a little tight. We stayed on lot 131 by the beach. Loved it! Steps away from the gorgeous Sandy beach. Pets allowed on lead which was wonderful. Park is amazing, store has everything, pools are like an amusement park very clean and well taken care of. Snacks were great and they had a games room and playground for kids. This park has it all. Thanks for the lovely stay! See you next year God willing!
This is our first time here at this campground and, without a doubt, is one of the cleanest, most organized campgrounds we have ever been to. The amenities are spectacular. We can not say one bad word about this place. We liked it so much that we booked again next year.
It was my first experience in an RV park, and I loved it!! We originally booked for the weekend but kept extending our stay and ended up staying for a total of 9 days. Super easy check-in and easy finding the sites. Everyone we encountered was super friendly and helpful. Everything was well maintained, including impeccably clean bathrooms. I always felt safe on the premises with security at the entrance and workers from the site circling in white trucks all throughout the day. I will definitely be visiting again!!
We've been coming to Ocean Lakes for 30+ years and we never get tired of it. Our kids and grandkids grew up coming here at least twice a year. Now our best friends bring their family every summer. We've camped, we've owned our own place and we've rented houses here. It's so well kept, and they upgrade amenities often. It's our happy place, for sure.
MB KOA does have cabins to rent, I do believe. I rent a site at KOA for my camper. It stays very busy at MB location. This is my starting of travels, I have not set sail to others yet. The travelers are great,employees are wonderful, and KOA has something going on to give travelers some fun all times of the year.
We stayed it last week from January 12 to 15, 2024. It's beautiful experience. We are 50 feet away from the beach. We pick around this time so it's less people and we love it. We experience beautiful sunrise, although it was so windy when we arrived on that Friday but over all experience it was amazing. They have also beach resort that you can rent. Accommodating staff, will definitely come back here. It's definitely a 5 stars.
This is our second winter at the park. Love the location, the beach access, the size of the sites and amenities. The best part is how helpful and accommodating the staff are. They go out of their way to make our stay here delightful. Last year our grandson had his first Easter Egg hunt organized by the staff. Amazing. Pastor Rick and his team have a service each Sunday that I think about all week. No wonder they win awards.

Stayed here for about 3 weeks in Dec-Jan and we loved it. Too crowded for us during the week between Christmas and New Years thiugh. The bathrooms were great--plenty of hot water, ample space in changing area, and clean. Loved being so close to the beach. Will definitely return during winter months.
Always an amazing stay at Ocean Lakes! It is my family's tradition to stay at one of their beautiful homes. Really peaceful in the winter months! Absolutely loved the barbie/pink pineapple house!
Beautiful location and kind staff. We visited doing a wildlife call for an injured goose, the staff was very kind and helpful along with willing to care about the animals well being. While here I was able to see amazing wildlife views, very clean lots with plenty of space, a pool, store, and arcade along with bathrooms decently placed for the campers. The beach is right in walking distance along with the wonderful outlets right up the road. I'm excited to send my family here who visits. It's beautiful and a safe place to stay.
This KOA is in a great location! You’re a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores as well as gift stores. The park is well maintained with friendly staff. They have everything you need at the front store for convenience. The laundry room is great with lots of machines. Be mindful of the dryers, if you open it up before it’s done to take out items, you have to put more money in again to get it going. If you need coins, there’s a dispenser in the room.
Facilities for toilets and showers are cleaned daily and warm.
There’s lots of big beautiful trees all around the park which your satellite connection will be greatly impacted.

I needed a place to crash for several days while waiting for an appointed destination. Unexpected delight and calmness within the trees filled with Spanish moss. 18 campgrounds in the past seven months, this rated a perfect five stars. Booked initially four days,ended three weeks later. Verizon. Strong. Water pressure 65psi, level long and wide sites towards the back. Great.
Ocean Lakes Family Campground is the best place to bring your family on vacation while visiting Myrtle Beach, SC. It’s a very clean and very well respected community. I have stayed here two summers in a row and it never disappoints. The family’s will do Halloween decorations, and there is also tricking for the little ones. Oct to me is the best time to come, because it’s not too busy and the weather is just right. There is both an outdoor and indoor pool, basketball court and much more! You may rent a house or bring your RV. I love the Sandy Mart store, and food they have to offer. There is also an arcade for the kids to play. Ocean Lakes has it all. Last but not least, each rental has a golf cart so you can get back and forth the beach. You will never want to stay anywhere else.
The campground itself was lovely. Lots of mature hardwoods and pines for shade. The sites aren’t placed like sardines. The staff is very helpful and friendly. But… the bathhouses (at least the women’s) were a huge disappointment. Lots of mold in the shower tile grout. Cracked wall tiles. No body wash dispensers. All the other KOAs I’ve stayed in have had updated,, clean bathhouses.

Stayed this week with my family for a trip across the country. Was an absolute blast, tons of stuff for kids, the maintenance man Robert even put together a golf cart parade for a little boys birthday party and tossed candy out for the kids along the way and everyone loved it especially the little boy. Robert is amazing for all he does for the KOA and the guests that stay. He for sure made it memorable for a lot of people.
This was a super cool and interesting campground to visit! The location is incredible, our campsite in particular was just 50 feet from the beach which was amazing. The whole place ran like a very well oiled machine, everything was nice and clean. The bathrooms were well kept and the showers were great. They also have a water park and golf cars that are available to rent. It’s hilarious how everyone goes “cruising” in their golf cars in the evening 😂. Overall this is definitely a fun place to take your kids or family!
Great RV Campground for large RV. Great staff and all friendly. Had reserved the wrong size site, and they immediately got us move and in to the right size site to fit our Bighorn Travler and truck. Level and gravel parking area and convenient hook-ups 50/30, water and dump. Had a patio site with nice fire pit and wooden lounge chairs and a table for 4 with umbrella.
Nice pool and pool area for little ones. Bouncing area. Entertainment stage for band. Can't say enough about office staff and the outside staff.

My husband and I had the BEST time! The staff Patty and Lisa were the absolute best. They provided wonderful service and couldn't have been nicer. They went out of their way to help us with our needs. The campground offered many activities and the pool and little restaurant was so fun! We can't wait to come back next year!
We loved our 5 days at this KOA! Quiet, super friendly, especially Lisa at the front desk! The pool was nice and cool with the brutal temps. Bathrooms were clean, and the snack shack had amazing food! If you come here give the employees and staff some grace because they work so hard to keep the grounds nice and inviting so that like-minded campers can enjoy their stay! We’ll be back MB-KOA!
