Incredibly delicious and authentic Ethiopian food with friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere with mood lighting for the late night and live music too! 100/10 would recommend. We got the vegan platter for one and meat platter for one (plenty for 2 people). Our hearts and stomachs feel nourished.
Was amazed by the food and atmosphere here! Never had Ethiopian food before but now I'll be visiting here regularly. Glad I decided to try out this place, definitely recommend everyone to visit.

Staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is lovely and the music is very relaxing.
Great food and amazing live music on the weekend. Cosy design with Excellent customer service!
Beautiful decor, lovely music. Amazing flavours and always the fresh smell of coffee. Blue Nile is the perfect place for a dinner and beer with friends. Ethiopean food is underrated. If you haven't already tried it, this is the place to start.
The owner and the host were incredibly amazing people. Food was testing delicious and was custom catered

I walked past this place today and decided to stop in for a Chicken shawarma. Well wasn't that a good decision, best shawarma I have had in ages. Nice and thick, not stingy on the portions like other places. I recommend stopping in here if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed!!

The best Shawarma wraps!
tastes amazing! Way better portions than its three closest competitors who I won’t even rate or acknowledge their existence.

nice sized portions really fair prices, fresh veg, and no EXTRA charges for parsley or extra toppings. Ice cold soft drinks..
The most friendly and courteous staff… and fast service.. but most important

I used to like the place, because it was good. My last visit was an okay experience. Spices were weak on the chicken. Chicken wasn't good this time. I got only a few pieces of chicken, and 3 of the pieces were fatty, probably chicken skin. Service is always good, friendly, and kind.

Came here the other night on a whim just looking for some dinner and thank god I did!
The owner was very welcoming when I came in and as soon as he started i knew it was going to be a good meal. He fried up the chicken before adding to my wrap, also asked if i liked onion and added some to fry up with the meat!! Ended up wanting a little side of potatoes and he accommodated that while also giving the already cooked potatoes an extra fry to crispy them up😍 As he made my wrap, he asked if it was my first time here, I said yes & I could tell he was so excited for me to try. He also filled the wrap with everything i wanted then added some lettuce on top so the chicken wouldn’t rip the wrap👌🏾He did so many little things to improve my meal. I sat down in the restaurant, enjoyed, savoured and devoured every single bite of that chicken shawarma wrap.

One of the best i’ve ever had
Great portions too

Great service and friendly atmosphere it almost seemed like everyone that came in there was smiling and warm to each other even though none of us knew each other!

The food was professionally and proficiently prepared, even for out large order. Sanitary standards were observed throughout, and presentation was conscientious.

Quality is consistent as per my sister in law who is a regular.

Worth visiting and making a regular party of your favs.

The only place in Toronto where you can find Ugali.
Ugali is undoubtedly good with mchicha.
Mishkaki was also good but wings were neither appealing or delicious. Very disappointed with pili pili wings. Their masala tea was good. Had substituted fries with mogu which were tasteless. Not even a pinch of salt on them.

We have had shawarmas at many places in thr GTA and in various cities in Canada. This shawarmas here are very, very good. Close to thr best we have had. The restaurant is a casual one, with limited seating and is not fancy. But the food is excellent quality, decent portions and authentic taste. Absolutely value for money.

Great tasty food, made fresh! We don’t find much East African food in the US, so we really wanted to try some in Toronto and this hit the spot. We got the combo for two (but could really serve 4 people) which came with beef mishkaki, chicken mishkaki, and ribs. The ribs were delicious and spiced perfectly.

Incredible food! We had the Veggie samosas, Mogo and Simba Grill Platter - the ribs and beef mishkaki were some of the best I’ve ever had. Great portion too. 10/10
Family decided to try something new, saw the reviews and came in. Made reservations although they indicated wasn't necessary. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, giving us advice and information about the different menu items. Food was amazing, great experience and the coffee...WOW!! Loved it. Definitely a must if you're a coffee drinker. We'll go back to try other things, really enjoyed it.

I went to the Simba Grill to check it out as a possible restaurant choice for my book club, since we were reading a book that takes place in Tanzania. I think it'll be a great choice! The owners and staff were very welcoming and the food was great. We ordered the combo for 2 and the servings were very generous and tasty. Prices are very reasonable, and the restaurant is quite pleasant inside. This was a great introduction to East African food.

Really great restaurant! A nice and cozy place. Just found it online by chance and brought my mom here because she was born in Kenya. The food was really good! Tried the mogo, beef mushkaki, beef samosas and beef kebabs and they were all really great! Owners were really friendly and made good conversation. Had a lot of leftovers to take home too. Will be coming back again in the future hopefully!

I come here with my Ethiopian friend when she comes to visit. This place is so cozy. Ethiopian cuisine with a bar like atmosphere in the front. The service is amazing and the food... omg so phenomenal. I've been to Ethiopian restaurants in many other cities but this is by far the best food and the best vibe. I find other places intimidating because there usually isn't any physical menu and you have to order in Amharic (Ethiopian dialect) but Blue Nile menus is so easy to navigate with explanations in english.

Wonderful customer service. There is lots of variety Ethiopian and Eritrean traditional food and spices with very reasonable prices. Thank you. Keep up the good work:)
This place is hardly ever open.Just the male friends of owner sitting in the total seating of 1 table and a handful of chairs.Just a coffee machine on counter. The man at counter very unfriendly as were the men sitting and glaring.I asked what was on menu and he replied "we don't serve food!!!! An array of outdated packaged filthy spices, coffee beans.😫😫😫

The service is fantastic. The attention to detail is excellent and the food - beef ribs, fish masala, anything on the menu, you can not go wrong. The new owners know what they are doing. Never a disappointment. You want tasty East African food? SIMBA IS THE PLACE.
