One of the best Indian meals i've eaten in a very long time.
Also reasonably priced food and drinks.

Poppadoms and naan bread cooked to perfection.
Absolutely perfectly spiced curry.

My only criticism would be that the serving staff were a little bit too attentive. Not pushy, but just having a glass taken away the second you finish your drink is a bit over the top. And please, don't clear plates until everyone has finished eating.

Food was not too bad. Although we specifically ordered for more spicy kachila. Nevertheless less it was edible enough so we didn’t raise a concern.
We also ordered chicken biryani. It didn’t look anything like chicken biryani where the chicken and rice is layered and toped with flavours. Instead it looked more like chicken Pulao.
What was annoying was the arrogance of the person who took our order. He was very impolite. Felt a bit discriminated..he seemed very disinterested when he was asked to repeat the order. He poured the beer half way and just left. So didn’t feel it was up to the mark.
The servers were kind and polite though.

Wonderful experience the food was fresh and delicious, the staff was extremely freindly. I went back there twice during my recent LDN trip. If you are a fan of spice do try the Jal chicken it was absolutely delicious!

To be precise a 9 out 10.

Edit: just had a meal and I have changed the rating from 4 to 5.

Well done. I appreciate the fact that you guys use high quality king prawn many restaurants don't.

Free papadoms and a mango kulfi shows the owner is a real boss. He or she wants to look after it's customers.

Well done for the 5 star rating.

Great food and great service. Food was really flavoursome and really hot when it came out - great service. Would recommend
I recently attended a dinner for over 30 people, organised by relatives at this restaurant, and was quite disappointed. The portion sizes were inadequate, with stingy servings of salad, rice, and curry. It was disheartening for the family who had spent a considerable amount on the meal. The floor manager was unhelpful, refusing to provide small plates or cutlery for an external cake and insisted on purchasing them from a nearby store. While the chicken and dhal curry were good, the lamb curry was just okay. The customer service and portion sizes were lacking for such a large booking. Despite the cost of living concerns, the pricing did not reflect the service provided. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for large events.

Butter chicken, Masala Chicken with Rice and Garlic Naan. Delicious food, great service. Couldn't ask for a better stop while on vacation in London!

Went here on a lovely summer evening as walk-ins. The staff were very friendly, greeted us with a smile and sat us down. Once we'd ordered our food, the service was quick and we got everything within 10-15min. We ordered the chicken shawarma (9/10), mixed grill (8/10), hyderabadi biryani (7/10), mango milkshake (9/10). It was a good experience and the prices are very reasonable. Would deffo visit again.

The Indian curry tasted just like what I used to have in Japan and it was delicious. However, I didn't like the naan because it was a bit too sweet and had a sticky texture, but that's just my personal preference.
I was disappointed that we didn't feel very welcomed from the moment we entered the restaurant. They were friendly to other European customers, so it felt like we were discriminated against because we are Asian.

I went to have a dinner whit friends and I have I can easily say the food was spot on and the service 👌

The Coriander - one of the best Indians in London. Great service and excellent flavour. Highly recommended.
Great food, ambience was also quite good.
We ordered a few dishes, the vindaloo was good, spicy enough. Would recommend.
The butter masala didn't hit the spot well, the gravy was creamy but still had a bit of chunkiness to it. I won't recommend that.
The best was the tandoori. Juicy chicken, meat just fell off the bone for the most part, and had a good char. Would want a green chutney next to it and a lemon served alongside, but you can probably just ask for that on the side.

We had a great time here. The food was really good, full of flavour with just the right amount of spice. The staff were all excellent and accommodating and made you feel welcome and valued. Would definitely come here again.
The food here is quality and so so tasty! I order the chicken makhani each and every time with added spice and it is just unreal! (Though I do need to be a little more adventurous next time!). Would recommend the dansak, special fried rice, chicken tikka masala and the samosas. The owner Zak is so welcoming and a great host.
My husband and I go to restaurant for an excellent Indian meal.
The boss and his staff are extremely friendly and provide a great service, with always a warm welcome.
Restaurant has a lovely comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Suitable for a casual ‘treat yourself meal’, or a special occasion.

Cheers guys!
Gabbi and Phil.
I ordered noodles it was so oily couldn’t eat not only oily the oil they use it very old. It’s ok if doing Iftar party 🎈 separately I attended the Iftar gathering it was ok.

The food was good, but they made us take some starters and did not tell us if it cost more money.

Then at the time of charging they told us that they did not accept cards and when we went to pay in cash as they were pounds before the exit of the UK from the EU the waiter told us that if they accepted cards.

Then on the bill, you can see perfectly how they did not charge the fees (clearly wanted to avoid paying taxes) I did not like that we were foreigners and they tried to take advantage of our ignorance.

Food was very very delicious. We had a 2 person menu with a fair price.
The staff, especially Apu, was very kind and nice.
Only the toilets could be improved / renovated.
The best curry house in South London by miles, probably one of the best in London. The owner Zak is a true gent and incredibly hospitable - the food is five star and the service spot on. I’ve been coming here for 15 years and will carry on visiting for the rest of my life!
Always love the food at curry paradise, we usually get takeaway but the service is very friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is great so we enjoy eating in too. I recommend all the dishes! A local gem

Went there to dine because the some reviews say that it is good and sometimes I see the place packed but to be honest I was disappointed. Food was good but the service was cringy. My friend and I were sat next to a party do with over 15 customers so it was really noisy and crowded. Obviously the group were there first and there were being served went we arrived but while we were sat I looked at one of the waiters (and I was not necessarily asking him to come serve us) and he said “Not now”. Whether it was out of cheekiness or playfulness it sounded really off and unprofessional. My friend and I got a bit put off and we wanted to leave to be honest but we acted mature and just got on with it unlike the other table were I saw another couple leave after 10 minutes when I think they even came after us. It was an experience but definitely not going to ever come back to such place and also they only accept cash??? Really??? So backwards😂😂😂. Anyway that’s it. Food average and service ugh. Definitely would not go back ever again😂😅

Hello just replying to your response. I stand to what I saw. Two guys one Asian and White sat after us and they left 10 mins later. Not even a drink was served and definitely food unless they just wanted to use your chairs like park benches for a quick rest. Anyway, I am never coming back anyway so I won’t be gaslighted by
your patronising and sarcastic response to my review.

Below average food and terrible service, 100% would NOT recommend. Save your time and stomach to somewhere else so you don’t get disappointed. We got approached by a guy standing outside and made an attractive sales pitch, (lesson learned never trust any restaurant that will hire someone to do that) but the food was not great, the taste was just blend and no depth, not to mentioned we waited for 50 mins for our main course after the starter.
Lovely meal at brick lane- we tried lots of nice dishes and everything was fantastic! Apu was a great server and was very funny! We will return 😃

Service was friendly and very good. Food did not disappoint. Meat was very tender and juicy. Lots of flavour and texture. It will cater for those who like spicy or not so spicy food.

Restaurant was a little too cramped for me. But cosy and I'm a big guy anyway. I didnt feel uncomfortable once the food started rolling in. Atmosphere was good.

Pricing is good for London. Portions are decent.

No. 6, 16 bus stop close by and I think they do delivery. I think there is free parking after 6:30pm.
Came with my husband on Valentines and the food was outstanding.
Served by Ash and Barry who were polite and friendly. Have booked again. Can't wait.x
Tasty food, great service. Popadom dips were excellent, fresh and plentiful.
I recently dined at Masala Restaurant in Brick Lane and had an exceptional experience. The food was delicious, especially the flavorful jalfrazi. The service was top-notch (thank you Ahad), making the entire meal even more enjoyable.

I highly recommend Masala Restaurant for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine and outstanding service.

A calm retreat from busy brick lane! The food was amazing and so flavourful. Service from Munna was so quick and friendly.Highly reccomend.
One of the best service, all the staffs and the owner himself is very very friendly. Food was great too! Highly recommend it to all of you!!
I used to live in brick lane and tried a number of Indian curry restaurants here. Masala Restaurant is a new find for me and I will come back! It's super tasty. Well recommended.
This was such a good experience. We had the prawn puree as an entry for 4 people, it came very different than we expected to since it comes in a burrito shape but it was delicious. Then we had the masala special murg masala, which is an award winning dish, and was middle spicy and very delicious, the chicken tikka masala was amazing, one of the most delicious I’ve ever tried, and the chicken chilli tikka was ok, it wasn’t exceptional but still good. The staff is very nice
We've chosen this place by the good reviews and wasn't wrong. The food was excellent, quality very high and tasty! Service is very nice and attentive. It's true we had a bit of trouble to make an order and get recommendations of the menu, but the service was very attentive and helpful max they could. We ordered some curry, rices, vine for 3 and payed about 10O£ with discount.

The only thing is that place is pretty small and there's not much space, tables are very close to each other and you don't feel that much privacy, sometimes it seems that you're together with the company at the table next to ours. Probably if you have special date it's not the best place, but for us as a company of friends it wasn't too much annoying.

We ended up full and happy, so definitely would recommend for visiting.
Can everyone just calm down please? To say that Masala’s rating is flattering is putting it mildly. The place itself and the staff are perfectly nice enough but the food is more akin to what you’d receive in a curry house in an anonymous small town….certainly not central London. Rather basic inoffensive generic flavours…..spicy dishes on the menu billed as being ‘not for the faint hearted’, etc. Those who know Indian cuisine well aren’t the intended audience. Tip for those new to London and in need of proper Indian food - go to Tooting instead, thank me later.

I had duck meat and chicken roast at Baraka Eatery London. The food taste is so delicious that it reminds you of your left behind home. Their service was so nice and the seating atmosphere was clean, quiet and cozy. Would love to visit them again.

Food was nice however the sauces can be worked on as they are very sweet maybe nice for white people however the sauce ant accommodating to asian taste buds over all services from tarif made it worth while keeps you entertained will come again
I haven't actually had a lot of Indian food in London and I was keen to try more so I came to this place with some friends who were visiting in town on a Friday night. I made a reservation a few hours prior just in case it was busy and it was very busy indeed with customers going in and out the whole time we were there.

One of my friends has gluten intolerance so we were careful to check the dishes before ordering. On the menu literally every section says "all dishes are gluten free" so my friend was very happy but when we checked with a staff member whether poppadoms were gluten free he replied saying no so then we challenged and asked him why the menu wasn't updated which he didn't address. Then we knew we had to just ask them for every dish we were interested in ordering since the menu had obviously not been updated to reflect. We found out loads of dishes weren't actually gluten free after all so for those who have gluten intolerance out there please don't blindly trust just ask the staff to make sure.

After checking a few dishes with the staff, we decided to go with the lamb samosa as a starter, tandoori mixed grill and chana masala as mains and then chicken tikka biryani as a side. Everything was amazing I have to say - lamb samosas were hot throughout and very flavorful so a great starter indeed to stimulate our appetites, chana masala was a good portion with a mini spiced curry which went well with the biryani. My personal favourite was the tandoori mixed grill - it's such a massive portion for its price and everything was so tender and savoury with the right amount of marinate. The chicken and lamb were juicy and not dry at all and even though the bottom of the sizzling plate was oily, for some reason it was really easy to keep eating without tasting the oil. We genuinely enjoyed the food a lot. Just to note the tandoori mixed grill wasn't actually gluten free so my friend couldn't have any of it.

Service was fine, I gave them a 4-star because of the confusion with the menu items as we had to constantly prompt them about the gluten issue otherwise they wouldn't have paid attention at all. Nonetheless, it's good overall. It's very loud and noisy inside the restaurant with the table next to us talking extremely loudly and the background music was too much as well so again 4-star for the atmosphere.

Happy to come back here but also equally happy to try all the other places along Brick Lane since there are so many restaurants.

Couldn’t have picked a better place for a delicious, filling, authentic curry meal for our first night in London. Our server was very friendly and helpful. We did not know this was a BYOB establishment, and when he realized that we’d wished we had known that, he told us to run next door and buy some beers from Aldi - and he saved the table for us! We are Americans and did not know how to properly eat our prawn puri appetizer, so he comically showed us the way. Food was 10/10 delicious. We cleaned our plates - which is rare for us. Maybe we were just hungry from the long day of travel, but I think there is something very special about this place. You will not be disappointed if you visit Akash!

Went about a year ago, forgot to write what I thought about it until today (because I’m not used to leave reviews), we decided to stop during a London trip, all the three of us were excited to eat there but the food tasted terrible, especially the Naans which felt like rubber and looked like pizza and then I got sick, felt like hell all night and even vomited at least twice or three times during the night because of it all.

(I only got things I was used to eat already so it was not because of my body not tolerating some kind of ingredients)

My two other friends weren’t satisfied either and we all agreed on the fact that this was the worst Indian food we ever had in our entire life.

Ordered for a collection, arrived 5/10 minutes early and got a pint on the house for my wait!! Super friendly staff and a lovely homely atmosphere!

Not to mention the curries were delicious! Definitely be back
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Masala, and I must say, it was a truly brilliant experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was top-notch.

The restaurant itself had a cozy and inviting ambiance, with beautiful decor and comfortable seating. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The menu at Masala offered a wide variety of Indian dishes, and I was impressed with the extensive selection of vegetarian options available.

Overall, I cannot recommend Masala enough. The combination of excellent service, cozy ambiance, and delicious food make it a standout restaurant. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to try something new, Masala is definitely worth a visit. I will certainly be returning in the future to indulge in their mouthwatering dishes once again.

See you soon, Thanks guys.

The best for a hearty meal! The coriander special starter was especially good as well as the noorjahani.

Great service throughout, the staff were very attentive, and the dishes came out very quickly, we did not have to wait long.

The atmosphere was nice and peaceful, with warm lighting and nicely plated cutlery and food.

Edit: having now tried the Sunday buffet, can highly recommend it as well. £12-13 for all you can eat excellent fresh food

Akik and the team at Palace Spice provide stellar service, delicious dishes and the finest Kingfisher pints in all of London. Have brought friends and family here many times and never disappoints. Couldn't recommend more highly!

Myself, husband and Mum had dinner there last night and the food was outstanding! Their onion bharjis are the best we have ever tasted, big and fluffy without any greasiness. The staff are lovely, friendly and attentive we will definitely be going back
Ordered off Uber eats and got the set meal for 2 people definitely comes with a lot and is decent quantity for value . All the curries came in a large box and the portion sizes for everything was good. However , the chicken tikka masala was far too sweet and in regards to the lamb bhuna , the meat was okay, not tender but not chewy but the curry was lacking in flavour . On a positive note , the onion bhajis and samosas were great and the garlic naan and saag aloo was decent .

My experience of this restaurant does not match other reviews. The food was all very oily (see photo) and sometimes undercooked. Honestly not particularly tasty either.

My biggest issue is that the waiter encouraged us to over order food even though we asked him whether it was enough for two. The food ended up being enough for three to four people.

In the same vein, when my partner finished his drink and I was partly through mine, he requested sparkling water. A large bottle for two arrived, even though he never stated it was for the table. This should really be asked not assumed. The consequence of this was we ended up with a very expensive bill which we didn't feel matched the food experience.

The only plus is that the waiters are nice although as above I would rather they wouldn't try to make you over order.

Returned after four years. I liked the food but it was nothing like how it used to be. Perhaps the chef / cooking staff is different now. Still, a good enough desi food experience for me to recommend. Do check them out.

Again, A great dinning experience with tremendous food. One of the best karachi Biryani’s I’ve ever had and the curries are always exploding with flavour. I’ve been here multiple times, never get tired of their wonderful food. Portion sizes are fairly generous. Highly recommend, it does get busy in there, if you can sit upstairs as there is more space.

Shame I can't give 3.5 on the star system here. Anyway. The place is very nice and the location is perfect. The only let down I would say is the service and the food and for a restaurant it's two of the biggest points. From the minute I walked in I felt at unease as the Manager/Owner was in a meeting with someone. Maybe this meeting should have been held in the office? After waiting 5 minutes (standing in view of the Manager/Owner) We were seated. Placed order and given that there were no other customers I would of thought a speedy service. But no. Waited 30 minutes and then food was delivered. Pointed out that the chops were fairly burned but was told that's how they are. Anyway, that aside the rest of the food was lovely. Would of liked a bit more customer service as I had to wait for the meeting to come to a pause before making any request (water, tissue, etc).

Overall: If you not in a rush and want to kill sometime this place is really nice. Don't expect award winning customer service but you'll get it in due course.

Staff was friendly and made good recommendations. Starters were ok, lamb chops over cooked, aloo chat was ok, the salmon tikka was good. Presentation was not impressive. Mains was better. Also accommodated some request for extra extra hot dish. Mixed up with rice as well. Chicken tikka was sweet and not as tasty. Salmon mehti dupiaza was good. There was no other customer there and we left at 8pm on a Thursday evening. Not a very big place. Had TV screen so can watch the world cup.

Heck yes! Tasty, fresh and distinct. Had a few things I’d never heard of before and quickly felt the satisfaction of a good decision.
The absence of Roti bread on the menu caused a momentary eyebrow movement however, the other choices were adequate. Oil content of the breads is marginally on the high side in a delicious kind way but might be a deal breaker for those with gallbladder issues or crazy strict diets.
An un-regrettable solution for a cold and gloomy hunger!
