This little street cafe does their own spin on traditional recipes. I asked the owner to pick a vegetarian dish for me. He gave me Palek Paneer which was lovely. The spices instead of being strong and pungent blended beautifully into almost a floral aromatic. I loved that it was perfectly balanced with flavor and fat and unlike some Indian food was not oily. Truly a lovely dish and beautiful lunch. I assume the food was prepared by the owners as they were welcoming and friendly!!
I can’t understand any negative reviews. Hands down the best naan bread I ever had. Four of us all raved about our dishes. Freshly prepared. Server was the owner and he was excellent, friendly and personable. Wine prices quite reasonable. I’d suggest you try it for yourself.

Beef dopeyaza was also nice, meat was a bit firm though. Finally, the Naan was delicious as well.
Must try if you are in Ottawa for a short trip.

I've been here before (several years ago) and really enjoyed it (which is why I gave an extra star), but the butter chicken I had delivered today was not good. I have never had butter chicken I didn't enjoy, but this time it was very watery tasting. It barely had any flavor or smell, and I was very disappointed.
Good food in a family run restaurant. The decor could do with a refresh. Good value for money. Picture shows my Lamb Rogan Josh order.

Can I say 4.5/5? There is nothing wrong with the food but compared to other, some restuarants have bigger portion than this one and the price is almost the same ☺

Went for dinner. I had chicken Tikka Masada, cheese Naan and mango lashi. The food was okay. Just a little off for me. I do not know if I would recommend it knowing there are other tastier options out there. The service was top notch. The young man was very attentive and very kind. I loved the atmosphere.
Yummy comfort food. Very speedy service. And just the right spice. I had the chicken curry and it comes with rice and salad. The portions were very generous. I also ordered a naan on the side and it was amazing. I could see the owner put it right in the oven and it was still hot when it was brought to the table. Delicious!
