Wasn’t sure if this was a 5 Guys or if I had walked into a pop-up McDonald’s. Truly not part of the 5 Guys family, definitely below standards. Bad service, worse Burger.

The only bad experience ever at a 5G.

This is mad depressing because I almost never leave reviews. This is the last time I try Five Guys on this side of the country. I'm from the area of the original Five Guys locations, I've had countless of them executed correctly. I've also had Five Guys in Madrid, an ocean over where they were essentially just doing it their own way. Please listen to me. A European Five Guys is serving better burgers than this.

Management: I don't know what it is about the original process or recipe that is so hard to replicate, but *this* -- what you have currently? -- ain't it. I don't know if it's the ingredients or simply a lack of love in the kitchen -- but this is one of the most mediocre burgers I've had in my life. With a Five Guys price tag. I literally wish I had just made one at home instead. Again... mad depressing... If quality improves, I'd love to update this review.

I remember when the store was built in the late 2000s. Went there for the first time and was surprised that the menu is super simple. It is definitely pricey for what you get. Granted, they do overload the bag with fries and the burgers are thick as heck. During my 12 years in Denver, CO. I think I ate there about 4 times before moving to Minnesota in 2019. Each time I got the single burger instead of the double burger which is the default. Burgers were great as were the fries, but corporate greed is getting out of hand here even back in the day.

I like someone in a review blamed Biden for the price of their meal, get a clue Biden didn't cause corporate greed here! I digress here.

I got one bacon cheese burger. I spent $14. No fries. No drink. No fancy restaurant. No waiters. Nothing but a burger. That is insane. This thing made of gold? This better be the best damn burger of my life. Bidens economy. Good job you liberals. 👏

The burgers and fries are awesome; they really are. However, the price is not. The prices have been creeping up regularly; so much so that it forces the burger to compete in a different class. For almost $20 for a burger and fries, I can get something similar, but much better, somewhere else. So, unfortunately I consider the burger below average for your standard $20 burger and fries.

Five guys is good for a burger and they give you loads of fries. I also like the strawberry shake sometimes. I was a bit sticker shocked the last time I got a meal for just myself and it was $25. Inflation is hard for everyone.

Five Guys came along just when it was needed. Everyone was tired of McDonald’s, and Burger King, and their kind. Worse than tired - people were annoyed, irritated, disgusted even! But there were no other options. No new burger joints that offered better alternatives.

Then our heroes arrived. Five of them, of course! The first Five Guys opened on South Parker Road. It was a bit too far for me, although I made it there once in a while. Now there’s this one - on South Colorado Boulevard. So convenient!

Before they ever opened in Colorado, good stories about Five Guys were spread by word-of-mouth and online posts. I’m happy to tell you that the rumors were true! That feeling you first had from McDonald’s or Wendy’s a long time ago, but thought had perhaps vanished forever? It’s alive and well at Five Guys. The burgers and fries taste really good - the same way I suppose a Big Mac or a Whopper first tasted to previous burger-buying generations.

The Five Guys philosophy has been justly lauded (again, by word-of-mouth and online posts). I can tell you that, in my view, their approach works well. My only advice is to order less than you might think. Even a small order of fries is a lot at this place!

The pictures don't do it justice. I come here about once a month when I want that burger fix. You can really taste the freshness; and the place is packed with potato bags to show you the potatoes they are using that day and where they came from. The fries really are fried to Perfection, and they fill up the bag with them, too. It is worth the price for the quality of the food. There are boxes of peanuts for you to snack on for free while waiting for your food.
