We did the Pirates escape room and had an amazing time. The game is very well thought of, extremely fun, and the host person was great as well. Will definitely return to try the other rooms!
This place is the best escape room place i’ve ever been to. I did houdinis workshop and not only was it difficult as promised, but they are also very accommodating. Me and my friend had trouble and they didn’t hesitate to help us out. The staff are very bright and their love for their workplace seems very very genuine. I love the team, 10/10 would recommend. i’ll be coming again to do moonshine madness.
Our group had an amazing time at this place! I've done tons of escape rooms and had a not so great experience at the PANIQ location in Boston (the room wasn't reset when we went in and the attendants weren't super helpful) but this location was stellar. Gus was super friendly and helpful. We did the "Moonshine Madness" room and it was really great, good clues, and super fun. Definitely recommend this location. Great for escape room experts and rookies alike!
This place is amazing. The puzzles are intuitive yet difficult you are well taken care of from the minute you walk in. Gus has helped create a place that is welcoming and fun. We had so much fun in the prohibition room we came back the next day for Houdini’s workshop. That room is not one to sleep on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
My friends and I have gone to this place twice now (both times for my birthday) and it’s always a great time! Casey was very friendly and super helpful. My group will definitely be coming back for a third and fourth time (or however many times it takes to play every available room).

The building is VERY warm though (and I’m writing this in the middle of winter), so I suggest wearing layers you can take off once you get into the room. I wore a pullover sweater, and it was wayyyy too hot. We still had fun though, despite the heat.

My girlfriend and I are addicted to escape rooms lately. After running through all 8 rooms at another company in the last month, we told them we were sad because we didn’t think other companies would be as fun and the staff wouldn’t be as friendly. They recommended PanIQ so we decided, last minute, to check them out tonight. Will was super friendly the second we walked through the door and turned into a great game host. Generally customer service in NY sucks, and Will was such a bright spot on our experience. The games can be great, but without people like him the experience isn’t worth it. The room (moonshine madness) was a blast and the perfect balance of challenging but not frustrating. We escaped with about 10 minutes to spare. Can’t wait to go back.
Such a fun place, it was a great time and break while raining in the city. Friendly staff that got us in without reservations.

An overall very disapointing experience. The staff wasn't very invested (even though not rude ) and didn't seem to have a lot of things to do. The activities in themselves were the worst part. Indeed we only had access to 5 or 6 activities with our pass, wich were short, not very realistic and not interesting. Would not recommend.

This is a great fun for adults and families with teens. Our family had a lot of fun and laughs. I recommend making timely reservations. To owners: some of the equipment could use a bit of love. One of the staff members (did not catch his name, short hair) was particularly helpful and friendly and shared some laughs with us. We had great time.
If you’re looking for a thrilling escape room experience WORTH the price, do NOT go here. The rooms are just filled with a bunch of lock and key puzzles. The price of $50 per person is completely UNJUSTIFIABLE given the lack of depth, storyline, creativity, and genuine fun in the room. Me and 1 other person were able to get out from a level 6-7 difficulty room with 30 MIN LEFT. I left this room wishing I booked from a different place and we regretted spending in total $100 for one of the most boring rooms ever. Please safe your money and go somewhere else for this insanely overpriced rate!!

My boyfriend & I recently visited Tidal Force VR, and we had an amazing time. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain how everything worked and made sure I felt comfortable in the VR world. We played the shooting game and the escape room, which were both exciting to play. The quality of the VR equipment was top-notch. The headsets were comfortable, and the graphics were stunningly realistic. I quickly forgot I was in a virtual world – it felt that real! Definitely recommend this to anyone that wants to find something fun to do in the city!

This is AMAZING! At first it looks kinda small (that's what she said) but when you start playing the games it's so cool!!! And this ain't something you can do on a regular oculus, this is something where u can actually walk around and fight drones and bully your mom for not knowing how the buttons work. The guy there was very nice and the headsets were comfy and everything about it was perfect!!!

I booked for my 10 year old the two hour unlimited package. Lacoya, Michael and Tommy had their hands full on this rainy Saturday night but they were great at keeping tabs on all the other customers who were enjoying this immersive experience. They had an ability to multitask and troubleshoot that was extremely impressive. They made the experience fun and super funny it was a great time. Highly recommended. The rock wall really was a win!
I am so happy with our experience! My team and I had an amazing time "escaping" Houdini's Workshop! Our game master Gus was incredible and had great energy throughout that made our time more enjoyable! I would recommend for any type of team building events or even if you are looking for something new, fun or different to try.
Had a great time here. The room we picked was so fun and pretty tricky. Everything was explained well to us by the employees and whenever we needed help with something, they did it with no problem. Super clean facility. Definitely will be back with our friends soon!

We did sugar rush as a party of two, it was so much fun! Highlights:
* unique puzzles - even though we’ve done maybe 30 escape rooms, there were new types of puzzles we haven’t seen before!
* well priced
* private games
* the puzzles were all interesting - no time-consuming gimmicks like counting
* good lighting
* great game master - gave a clue when we needed it without giving things away unnecessarily
* Walkie talkies for clues, instead of a screen - less misunderstandings and you can ask for clarification

Will totally be back again!

Wow!!! I had no idea what to expect. I ended up having soooo much fun!! Thanks to Clara for being a great host and guide!
Loved it! We did the High Speed NYC game and it was a blast! Loved the layout and puzzles. Waiting area was also really nice and I liked the puzzles they had there as well. The service was also great and the employees were very friendly. 10/10 would go again
CJ was a great host! This was our 1st escape room & we had an amazing time! Would come back again for more!

My husband and I came for date night and did 2 rooms - sugar rush and high speed train! Both were very fun and doable with just 2 people and we escaped both. I think 2-4 people is a good size.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We played it as a family of four with our teenagers aged 13 & 15.

I was pleasantly surprised by it inside. The staff were brilliant and professional. We played a game called the playground, 6/10 difficulty rating. It was still quite hard for us but we got lots of clues along the way. We managed to escape also. All in all. Lots of fun. You’ll need to book a game and you’ll maybe get assigned with other people also as they’re quite large games.

Excellent escape room experience! We did both the Gold Rush and the Special Ops and both are awesome! All the rooms are well decorated to make you feel immersed. The games are well thought and super fun. Some of them are challenging but you do feel great solving them. We all had a wonderful time. Our game assistant Kate was awesome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Will definitely come back again! Highly recommended!

We had the best time at Escape the Room! John was a fantastic host, he was super friendly and helped us out when we needed it and gave us hints. The rooms are the perfect balance of challenging and fun and the themes are really well done. Thank you John for making it such a positive experience!

Overall it was good. I did the science lab room, it was interesting. I would definitely recommend going with less than 6 people, best is probably 2-3, maximum 4. There is not that many things that people can work on at the same time so, that's why it's better to have fewer people. The puzzles were good, some of them felt too easy, some others felt like I would have never guessed this one, so there is a wide mix of things. The game master was nice, he gave us a few clues, probably we could've gotten out without most of them too if we had more than 1 hour available.
I almost escaped. ☠️ My 15 year old brother and I attempted Prison Break, we were the only two. It was so much fun! We had a blast, and all the employees were awesome. I would highly recommend stopping by here if you have an hour or so and want to have fun!

While the staff was somewhat nice! The set up was over rated! We spent $200 for 45 minutes and game was poorly set up! Had to change batteries in the middle of the game.
For this kind of money, i would prefer to take it to sand box, private rooms and much more advance equipment.

A 13 year old girl and her 49 year old Dad (me) signed up for an hour at Tidal Force VR on a recent trip to NYC, and we had a blast! We've played some VR games before, but this was definitely the most immersive.

The location is in a normal looking NYC building (look for the small sign next to the door). Inside the studio it's pretty sparse, but once you put on the headset it's amazing. For our games we didn't need a backpack...just a headset and a controller for each hand. The headset isn't wired to anything, it's wireless (haven't done that before). We had at least a 10' x 10' area to move freely around in (or at least it felt that large, much larger than other VR we've done). And it was amazing how we could see each other in full body spacesuits moving around (appreciated my daughter's victory dance!) We played one cooperative game and one "vs." game (I won the first match, and...well...let's not talk about the other ones).

If you're looking for a fun activity with friends, co-workers or your teenager. Tidal Force VR is highly recommended!
Un super moment... Malgré notre anglais pitoyable, l équipe a été au top pour essayer de nous comprendre, nous expliquer et nous accompagner dans un très bon moment.
So today we did "The Heist" which was quite amazing. The difficulty level was 7/10 for me. Would not have been able to complete on my own. We were joined by an awesome group of 5. "Happy Birthday Keke !!"

I went on August 4 with my friend and an employee named Brandon was nothing but great to us. He was very friendly, very inviting and funny as well. I definitely recommended this place to all my friends to make another visit because of his great personality. Having him as a host was definitely the highlight of our night.

Did the hardest room (Prey) with friends. All we needed was a minute more to have fully escaped. Although unsuccessful, the puzzle was detailed and entertaining.

We did Sugar Rush and it was really fun! You get to use all of your senses which is unique. Plus you get to eat your cupcake at the end. It was very doable for 2 players. The puzzles were linear and with the exception of maybe 2 were straightforward. Highly recommend for a good time!
My 12 year old son celebrated his birthday with a group of friends and had a blast. It's hard to find the perfect thing to do as they get older and this was the perfect fit. My son and his friends game online all the time and this was a new and exciting way for them to game together. I couldn't recommend it more. The team at Tidal were great and gave the kids a great experience. Thank you!
This venue was great. The rooms were really fun! I particularly enjoyed the subway room and the cupcake room. The subway room was probably my favorite, the cupcake room the most unique room I’ve ever played (26 rooms total so far). Will be coming back to do the rest of these rooms before finishing my vacation in New York! The staff was really nice too. Highly recommend!
This was such a great company! We did Sugar Rush which was such a fun room, and we reserved High Speed NYC right after it cause of rave reviews. TJ was a great game master getting us into their last spot of the night for our second game and helping us in the room. Highly recommend!

Super fun, immersive experience. We went with our two kids - 13 and 11 - to take out the drones and then do a little 2 v 2. While I needed a few tips from the kids, we all had a blast and are looking at when we can come back for the escape room. The 40 min session seemed much longer and was just the right length for us.
Always a great time here. Have done multiple rooms and they’ve all been executed amazingly. Our clue host Drea was amazing!

It’s our friend’s birthday so we decided to book the Houdini room to have some fun and solve mysteries. Turn out it was so much fun! Our host, Dean, was really good at giving us clues when we stuck at 1 clue for so long. Will do it again!

We've been to a few escape rooms recently, but unfortunately this was our least favorite. We played the Exodus room; the design of the room itself was a little rudimentary, but we did overlook it. There were too many linear clues that ate up a lot of time, and it stalled the progress of our game. There was even one puzzle that we solved correctly, and when given the clue, it only confirmed it. The gamemaster (who was very nice), also confirmed it herself, but the prop being stuck ate up at least 10-15 minutes of our time. I wish that at the very least, we would have been given an extra 10-15 minutes to make up for it. We, unfortunately, will probably not return.
This was a ton of fun. The room was a cleaver set up and it really took some brain power to solve the puzzles. Highly recommend doing this with at least a group of four.
Amazing! We did The Heist and it was one of the best escape rooms I’ve ever seen. Creative, surprising, and very well made. We loved it so much, we’re coming back tonight to do another!

WORDLE in physical form. Absolutely loved it. I took 3 very jaded 14 yr olds here last night. By the end it was nothing but giggles, shrieks and insistence on “one more time!” Even ended up taking advantage of the 50% promo for our next future booking. Abe nailed it by … well, I won’t spoil the surprise but suffice it say he set the climate almost immediately. And Fred was more than generous with “hints” to help the girls beat the clock (that seemed to have defied time) - Highly recommend it and was not-so-secretly jealous I couldn’t join.
Next time!

The franchise, one of the most renowned in the USA, knows how to be catchy:
-Well-designed games with charming and witty introductory videos, featuring revisited and original themes, different levels of difficulty (considering that we played successfully even with players on their first Escape room experience).
-Public sessions that allow you to meet new people.
-Discount options that encourage you to play again (in fact, we had booked two rooms and ended up doing three).
-The staff is very courteous and friendly, and they made our experience enjoyable (thanks Frankie and Matt).
After more than 250 Escape Rooms, it was definitely a pleasant discovery. If we have time again, we will return!
PS: Spoiler, we came back!

My BFF and I have done close to all of the escape rooms in NYC. So, we were really looking forward to new company with different rooms. This was, by far, the worst room we have ever done. Now, we expect things to stump us, that's normal. But, to hear explanations/clues to some of these puzzles. There was absolutely no rhyme or reason in making any sense of it. Also, OME says their rooms are "high tech". This is so off base, and should be considered false advertisement. Everything was janky and cheap and there was NOT one thing to be considered high tech. For example, many of the speakers around the room, were basic computer speakers that you could get from Best Buy for $15-20. There isn't even a timer in the room, and you have to ask your game master how much time you have left. The staff was nice, but we are not returning here. And just to put things in perspective, when ny BFF and I don't make it out of a room, we don't let them tell us the answers because we GO BACK to actually figure it out. This place.....no, we will not be returning unless there is a major redo of all the rooms and some actual "high tech" options are installed. Major disappointment.

P.S. we did the Biohazard room

Our experience here was great! My husband and I booked early online with our Sightseeing Pass, and ended up doing our Prison Break room with another couple instead of the several people we were expecting. It was honestly SUCH a fun experience. The setting was cool, the items and clues were good, the knowledge they expected us to have was exactly reasonable, and it wasn't too scary or spooky. No jump scares or that type of thing. I also noticed all of their items were in fine working order so as not to be distracting, and the hints were reasonable without giving everything away. We did make it out, but with enough struggle that it felt like a real accomplishment. I'm a fan!

The escape we did wasn't particularly accessible, but we didn't have special accessibility needs. The staff was also incredibly kind, so I feel confident they would make every effort to accommodate specific needs in some way if you made them aware in advance.

Also, side note that right now there's construction on the street, and scaffolding almost entirely obscures the sign above the door here. We walked right past it and were almost too late for our time slot!

Over all, our experience here was fantastic. If we were local, we'd definitely be back!
I rarely ever leave reviews on anything but after my experience at this escape room I feel the need to. My group had the most amazing experience thanks to our host Gene. He went out of his way to make sure we had an exceptional experience. He also gave us great recommendations on nearby eats (which we thoroughly enjoyed)! I highly recommend this escape room! Thank you Gene!
Let me first say that this rating has nothing to do with the staff at Omescape - they were lovely and made the game as amazing as they could.

I went to the Room X with 5 other friends this Sunday and we played through in about 50 mins (we beat the monthly record for the game). I am a heavy escape game users - I went to ALL Omescape games in the Bay Area, probably went to over 50 escape games across the US, which is why I felt like we would get a high quality game in NYC - especially give how high tech, with great production value, the games out West are. I left feeling very disappointed at the state of Omescape in NYC, and not wanting to come again. Here are some of the issues my group faced (spoilers for room X below):

- A lot of the props were not well kept. I expect a level of wear and tear, but when things fall apart in your hand or you see visible signs of scratches, torn pieces of wallpaper and badly laminated clues, it leads me to believe there's very little care with the upkeep of the room.
- There was almost no technology in the room. In the past, OMESCAPE games have won me over not only because of the clever stories and high quality rooms, but also because of the level of technology involved in building the rooms. This was nonexistent in Room X, where the clues were mostly regular numeric locks, which made for a very repetitive and not immersive experience.
- A lot of the clues were not related to the story, and felt like mindless brainteasers to keep time. They were not especially themed, which really is a bummer given a lot of the escape room experience is immersing yourself in a theme.
- BIGGEST SPOILER, PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK: the last 20 minutes of the game spent reading a manual that had all of the answers for the puzzles spelled out - essentially, it felt like a gimmick to make us spend time reading. It also meant there was not much for all of the group to do: only one person was able to maneuver the prop, while everyone else just watched.

All in all, it was a huge disappointment and didn't live up to the Omescape level of quality I was expecting. Maybe if this is your first time going to a game, it's worth it - but I will not be going back. Two stars given because of the staff, who were very nice and led the game as best as they could.
Smart and helpful staff, fun and engaging rooms, what else more can you ask for? Highly recommend for a fun afternoon or evening in the city.
Had a great time with my co workers. The host Frankie was helpful with hints. We escaped the room Exodus with five minutes left. We are planning another fun night there again real soon.
Spring break! With the mission of keeping my children entertained during the spring break, we visited Exit Escape Room NYC. The employees were very nice and welcoming. There were train issues and they understandably updated our start time and I really really appreciated that! We had so much fun solving the clues in the Train Heist room. We would definitely go again!
Have done about 70 escape rooms but will definitely be avoiding the rest here. Even though it's advertised as "hi tech" it was anything but. We did the biohazard room with a new group and it was one of the worst I've ever done. Basic locks and button pushing, puzzles that weren't even puzzles (pipes in the first room had things written and could be spun but did nothing), had puzzles that could be skipped or guessed, and when we finished, even though it was multiple rooms, there was no feeling of accomplishment. It was just "Oh? That's it?" Just very disappointing room to do and I'm embarrassed I brought people who had never done one before that this was their first experience. The staff were great and the subway puzzle was fun though.
The staff were nice and helpful. The room was nicely themed but nothing fancy. The puzzles were challenging yet solvable. They gave just the right amount of clues at the right time. We had a lot of fun!

I had the chance to play the escape room with my friends thanks to an accommodation Jerome made. I’m super grateful that he was able to do this for us because we had a really great time! The puzzles made you think and the overall experience was unlike anything I had done before. We actually beat the game which he said only about 20% of teams do. We did only have around 20 seconds left before we ran out of time, but we did it! You really feel immersed in the game. I will definitely be planning to come back to play the co-op game and hopefully more escape rooms in the future! Would definitely recommend.

We visited this place to kick off a birthday celebration for our 16 year old niece.

We did the masquerade room.

Everyone had so much fun everything was very logical one clue lead to the next.

I highly recommend this with kids.

P.s. this place has an emergency exit button which was really helpful to those in our group who had an issue with the idea of being locked in a strange place.
We had a group of 10-12 people come in for the Penitentiary escape room. Gene was a fantastic game host and kept us entertained from start to finish! Highly recommend if you're looking for an escape room in the city.
I had my 13th birthday here with a party of 11. 6 people went in the escape room and the others stayed in the gaming area. This place was very cool, funny, and surprising all at the same time. Me, my friends, and family had a wonderful time. Once we solved a riddle it was so exhilarating. I would recommend this for ages of 10+. Though the place could have better decoration and choices for the escape rooms.
I had a blast even though we didn't make it out. It's good way to see how observant you are and how good you are at solving puzzles. I would love to do it again with a larger group of friends. (My friends paid a extra to have a private experience...it was only 3 of us).
I would recommend this place.
