Beautiful bush surrounding. Wide variety of Birdlife to observe. Good walking tracks.
This is hidden gem! It is not a famous place in Melbourne and I don’t know why! So special spot for walking, cycling, relaxing and enjoy the silence!
This nice park has plenty of parking spaces, picnic tables and bbq. The scenery is spectacular, especially on the top of the hill. You can see a glimpse of city buildings and wetlands.
Not many trees around so it will be quite hot during summer days. Some area looks new, plenty of new baby trees.
It would be nice if there’s a sign along the walking path.

It was an absolutely lovely experience visiting the place. It is a pet friendly area (on lead).

Great park
So many attractions in this park, the 100 steps of federation, 360 area view, CBD view are the main attractions. From this park you can also go to Foreshore trail, laverton creek and skeleton creek. Great place for fitness lovers for hiking and running, and trail walks. The gate opens at 8 am and closes at 7 pm.
Great dirt trails for running, walking or mountain biking. A great open space for outdoor enjoyment, where you can get city views from the Beacon and a good view of the Bay.

Absolutely beautiful spot on sunset and an easy walk to get to top as well as an amazing view too. Highly recommend
The 100 Steps of Federation with beautiful 360 degree views, including, Portarlington, The You Yangs, Macedon Ranges , incredible Melbourne city views, Port Phillip Bay and The Dandenong Ranges to name a few.
The path , Bay Trail West, from here takes you all the way to Williamstown passing through Jaw Bone Reserve and Altona Beach and Pier, and in the other direction into Point Cook.
There are plenty of things to do with a vast area for bird watching or enjoying a pleasant walk in the forever changing landscape. A perfect place for nature lovers. Bike riding is very popular with some smaller tracks off the main path.
A good place to walk your dog.
Lovely place for a BBQ with undercover. The closest toilet is approximately 800m away.
Truganina Park comes highly recommended.

There are a number of parks in this area but I’m talking today about Truganina Park.
As you enter there is a netball / basketball park , heaps and heaps of parking, entrance to Cheetham Park, the skate park and more.

Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Great for riding bikes or walking.
Good place for picnics with the tables and shelter with toilets nearby but it can be windy.
It can be a little confusing with parks blending with other reserves and facilities so be careful. Watch out for snakes in summer months.
