Breathless beauty and serenity await at Algonquin Provincial Park! This stunning park is a nature lover's paradise, with its majestic forests, sparkling lakes, and diverse wildlife. The hiking trails are well-marked and range from easy to challenging, offering something for everyone. The scenic lookouts and campsites are perfectly situated to take in the breathtaking views. We spotted moose, beavers, and even a bear! The park's tranquility and natural splendor make it an ideal escape from the city. Don't miss the starry night skies, canoeing on Lake Opeongo, and the warm hospitality of the park rangers. Algonquin Provincial Park is a true Canadian treasure - we can't wait to return 😀

Absolutely love Algonquin Park! Very important to be well prepared and informed. Conditions can change quickly, even the bugs can eat you up whole!!

One of the best Provincial park with lots of trials, camping area from a simple hike to a medium level to a hard one there is a trial for everyone. This is one of my favorite parks to spend time as a family have been here multiple times during fall season it’s very scenic. Just that you need to plan ahead and get your day use pass. This past weekend had planned to go for a moose watch after reading a lot about it on the parks portal since May and June are the ideal time frame to check them out. We were at the west gate welcome centre by 5:45 am and drove slowly on the highway 60 corridor and we were able to get a wonderful sighting. If you plan to visit the park for a moose watch plan to reach early before sun rise in the morning or plan for a late evening around sun set timeframe that’s when they come out. We drove all the way to the east gate and were lucky enough to see a second moose.

Beautiful place for it’s natural richness. Though with many people coming and going shores have been accumulating plastic and waste. Need a bit more maintenance for clean and sustainability

Wow, I haven’t been through here in 30 years and it hasn’t changed. We were staying at Deerhurst, just wanted to show my wife the park through a drive and a couple trails. It was amazing, we saw 2 moose and the beautiful scenery you would expect.

It’s a wonderful experience… Can really enjoy the walking all around the park .. group of people who loves to walk and have fun just visit there …Better to carry water and snacks …no nearby shops…April is the best time to visit because no too cold or no too hot and can walk through small amount of snow which is really fun .

Ive done camping all my life. Last fall I went backcountry camping with some family. I knew I would love it but didn’t expect to love it as much as I did. We began on Smoke Lake and camped on Ragged Lake. The site we got was large and really private, we didn’t know where to look to find it at first. The weekend was stunning, temperatures were 10°C lows and 20°C highs, falls colours were out, plenty of fishing and canoeing around the lake. Can’t wait to do it again next year

we visited Algonquin provincial park and stayed in the lovely cottage by the lake, it was so calm and serene scenic beauty.
another family was with us they also enjoyed their unique experience of jungle theme cottage with young children to enjoy.

A must see for any nature lover, absolutely massive park with many great trails. Trails can be quite icy even in November so come prepared if you're going this time of year.

Strongly suggested, many simple trails with beautiful views. I suggest the Lookout (dogs allowed) and Beaver trail. I cannot give 5 stars because it is not a dog-friendly place, there are many restrictions. It's very surprising since it is pure nature and keeping them on leash would be enough to protect the local fauna.

Visited here for camping. It's amazing experience. So many things to do. The look out trail is a must visit place. Was hoping to catch northern lights but stargazing was unreal. Canisby lake have the best view to check the night sky. If you plan to visit you must have a good hiking shoe. All the trails have a washroom at the start point. All the trails I went to are loops. I was not lucky to see any wildlife. But I'll still give 5 stars for the whole experience

The best time is to visit is in the fall, around late September to early October, when the autumn leaves are in full display. (Varies each year) The weather is quite pleasant and it isn’t too cold nor hot. (Chance of snow if you’re lucky)

Visited on Oct 1st . No words to explain how beautiful it was to visit the park . It felt like being in a dream land. Be mindful of the pass. It opens 5 to 6 days in advance at 7 am on ontario park website and it gets sold in minutes.

Beautiful places to visit in fall. it is highly recommended to reach the park before 9am. Since not only avoid crowds, but also you could see the scene in light fogs. We came at the end of Sep and 90% trees are covered by orange-red colour. For daily permit , you could buy before 5 days arrival. Some most visited trail like Booth's rock trail or Track and trace you have to buy additional permits. However it is extremely get it since there is limited tickets issued per day
