Great park with nice views of the bay

A lovely tribute to all that have served our great country. I am a Navy veteran. I wanted to visit this memorial park to see how the city honored those that have served. It is very close to the beach, however, there is no beach access. In the park, the area off to the side, from the flag, has memorials of all the branches of service. It even has a remembrance sign for locals who have served. It is well maintained and beautiful. The flag in the main section is large and is proudly flying. The park has a lot of seating if you wanted to visit, sit and remember. The only distracting thing is the memorial park is located right off a very busy street and you can hear a lot of traffic, but that is a very small issue. This city did a wonderful job remembering all that died in service including police officers and firefighters. I enjoyed visiting this park and paying tribute to all that served.

I love coming to this place it is so peaceful I see they changed the benches but better benches on there the other ones were getting too old they were falling apart I go there to sit down and just relax and forget about things very nice place just to sit back nobody's normally they're sitting down but every time I showed up then I'm all alone which is good it's nice and peaceful and you got the water in front of you we're not allowed to go fishing over because that's private property which is okay but it's still a nice place to sit back and relax collect your thoughts read a book 😎👍🔥

This is one of the best community memorials. Great views of the Chesapeake Bay. Plenty of seating for quite reflection. Public parking is tucked away in the neighborhood next to the memorial. It is hard to find, no signs, and very limited (3 spaces (1 for a veteran)).

Boardwalk was beautiful, very dog friendly, lots of cute little stores to browse and shop around in. Very beautiful scenery, I loved all the flowers and the koi pond was one of my favorite spots, so peaceful and beautiful. Can't wait to visit again!

Very nice place to watch the Sunrise. I’ve added a picture of my bike at sunrise on Veterans Day 2019.

I turn around there when I pick up my coworker. The park is peaceful, beautiful place, nestled right at the Bay. And I love the shiney red benches. 9/11 we held a candle light vigil even before the park was finished. Lots of healing here.

Sweet spot.To respect.And relax .
