A hidden gem. The golf course seems well maintained and some of the holes are really beautiful. The course never seems too crowded. Small driving range and shop. I'm not sure if the ball fields adjacent are actually part of the property or not, but they are also well maintained. There is a little amphitheater tucked back toward the lodge. The lodge isn't primitive, but it's also not the main ballroom at the Waldorf. A modest playground for the kiddos. Several picnic areas. The disc golf course goes mainly though the woods, so I'm sure it is more than a challenge. The long trail along Silver Creek is really nice and secluded, and not very difficult. It's well-maintained and the inner loop is listed at 1.3 miles, so the outer loop of the trail has to be at least 2 miles with numerous shortcuts to tailor your hike.

Great park, have been here many times.

The nature center hosts lots of events my wife and I attend.

Good hiking trails with many desire lines if you feel up for them .

Best place to view Louisville KY at night !
Even though the cabin was burned down, this is a nice peaceful place to spend a little time walking around. there is a Good view of the River & Island from The cabin site, and it usually receives a great breeze from off The river. The landscaping is simple but with an old time charm, including All native flowers and herbs placed tastefully at random. There is a nice small picnic area where you can eat your lunch, read a good book and relax for a while. P.s. you might want to use a restroom before you get there, because there are none on site,

The kids love it. I (the adults) love it too. It's down the road from ice cream and restaurants.

Definitely check it out and take your kids.
My friend and I visited the park to experience Float Your Boat Tubing. The park is super clean and has a really nice pavilion for large group parties. There are also picnic tables across the grounds. No BBQ grills though and the tables are not surrounded by any shade trees. So it's hot lol.
Float your boat is owned and operated by a husband and wife team. They are super nice, funny, and knowledgeable about the river. They tell you everything you need to know so that you have a fun safe experience. There are places along the river where you can stop and swim or just hang out for a while. You can't rent their floats or bring your own. Either way, they will air up the floats for you. So you don't have to worry about that. I recommend purchasing a floatable cooler. The trip is around two hours and it's hot. Plus you can stop along the way and have a snack and a drink if you want.
Parking is limited though so get there early or you're going to have to park somewhere else and walk. It's not a fun walk either lol.
I highly recommend the park. If you don't want to float. You can still go down and swim. If you have kids, just keep in mind there are other adults or young adults out there that drink and they don't always watch the things they say. Just a heads up on that. The park is also dog friendly. I recommend a life vest for your dogs and your kids. The current can be pretty strong. Especially in some places.
I didn't get photos this go around. Sorry
Very beautiful views of the Ohio River, the trails are nice and long with plenty of greenery.

Beautiful and well coordinated playground. So many “little-approved” structures that overlook some beautiful scenery. Very very hot this time of year (July) and there’s no shade so the slides and ramps are very dangerous to kids in summer attire. I recommend holding your children down those slides, on your lap!

Extremely crowded due to construction on river road. Detoured just to find no parking by kids park. "Looked like a private party at the shelter". And the other parking area by the falls of the Ohio was crazy packed!
But it was shaded and relaxing for a dog walk.
The bugs are bad but the park is fine. The restroom is not so well either. The kids enjoy going out here each year with the Teen Citizens police academy.

Love it here. Family friendly. Huge playground alongside outdoor gym, love the nature center and exploration and play opportunities offered, love the botanical garden out front & community garden, too. Love the hiking and biking trails, disc golf courses, co creative art installations. The wildlife, the educational ecology information boards with pictures. Picnic tables, pavilions, stream for river stomping fun and more. Something for everyone in the family here.

My family wanted a day of relaxation near water that we could hang out with our dog. He loves to swim. Very tranquil. The water flows great and there are a few places deep enough to swim.
This boat ramp is closed for boat ramp purposes at the moment, but it's a nice view of the hydro plant, and usually deserted.

We exited this park after floating down the river. Well kept park. It has a playground, pravillion, a few places to hand out in the river, bathrooms, and a decent sized parking lot. It can get busy but there is plenty of room for everyone.

Amazing and a geologists' dream of fun. I enjoyed it all until I began having an allergic reaction to the petroleum pollution that Ashland has ruined our river with. All exposed skin turned into red welps, took a Zyrtec and a cool shower immediately once home. I'm part of the 4% of the population that is living proof how trashed and polluted our river is, and Ashland's refineries failed to properly clean up their multiple spills.
Great place for a family outing. Good walking path to falls of the Ohio River. Plenty of areas for a picnic.
Peaceful spot along the river to take in the beauty of the Ohio. There aren’t any trash cans which is a bummer but plenty of picnic tables in the shade.

Great place to the meet up with family and have a picnic! Hiking trails were well maintained, if a little chaotic in their routing.

Disc golf, golf golf, playgrounds, plenty of parking. Great spot for a lunch stop or a hike.

Great evolution & transformation of a park that’s been around for at least forty years. And cannot say enough good things about the Wade Bourne Nature Center! The building itself is lovely and fitting with the surroundings. The peaceful backside observation deck overlooking the creek side trails area has comfortable chairs for visitors and such a nice peaceful vibe. Was just at RP again yesterday for a plant swap event organized by the WBNC. So many awesome community events & experiences are available through the Nature Center. Grateful for this gem right here in our community!!!

It was nice we walk the walking trail and play tennis they have nice court's never busy u can usually always play highly recommend friendly people
They have a little pantry that we go and put food in almost every week
This was a beautiful park to visit with the kids after just moving to Clarksville! There is a great view of a river from the park. The playground was nice and there is plenty of open space for the kids to run around and burn off all that built up energy from the drive! We ll definitely visit again!
It's a great place for an uncrowded, easy, and relatively short hike. As you can see, it's fairly kid-friendly too. We did have to stop for snacks a few times though ;)

Scenic park , family friendly, and so many ways to enjoy your day outside. The awesome creek, that is easily accessible for swimming and fishing. Playground basketball court, picnic tables, BBQ grills, open fields , and an open Pavillion, provide all the amenities necessary for a full day of family fun. Recreation trails into the woods. Everything you need for a full day of a great day outdoors.

Best hiking trails I've ever been to. There are several trails at all intensities. Picnic areas, a playground and it's dog friendly!
A favorite trail of mine. Speaking objectively. It's a great series of trails down to the river. Benches but not too many views. Easy hiking, but I rated it moderate since some trails wind and can be disorienting & it is not paved.
If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy various River activities all hours of the day and night, this is a great choice. The fishing seen is never crowded and the few ppl that occupy the area have always been polite, some even willing to give a hand to a call for help netting River monsters reeled in by fellow anglers. It's beautiful just as much as night in the moonlight. The sounds of the Eddy, rushing currents of the Ohio falls, entwined with an almost constant ruffle of moderate winds create such a surreal atmosphere hypnotic even, that can draw you into it freeing you of life's stresses.
Always come here to relax and look at the water qhile I walk the trail
This place is in bad shape. The road is collapsing into the river, the main attraction burned down years ago, and the homeless hang out under the bridge to do drugs... I don't recommend taking a family here.

Nice playground, but this place is always empty
I had the most amazing time at the nature preserve with its wonderful trails. The meadows were a sight to behold, full of bees and butterflies, creating a mesmerizing and magical atmosphere. The trails, especially the ones that followed the Patuxent River, provided a serene and immersive experience in nature.

One aspect that truly impressed me was the inclusion of educational panels along the trails. They were informative and added depth to the overall experience. The most recent set were dedicated to teaching hear health.

The combination of natural beauty, abundant wildlife, and educational opportunities made this nature preserve an ideal destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and enriching outdoor adventure. Whether you're a nature enthusiast or simply looking for a refreshing escape, I highly recommend exploring these captivating trails.

Parking is awful but dinnertime was having a baby shower at the tables so that didn't help. The police were there don't a great job of keeping the peace. I was picking people up that were floating . Water felt good in a hot day but just too busy.

Beautiful location along the Patuxent River. Short but accessible trail. Looks like a good location for trout fishing too.
Very beautiful, very humbling memorial. My dad was a Vietnam Vet, and told me about all of his friends that ended up being killed over there. When he passed away, he was cremated, and I was asked if I would let some of his asked to be included in that memorial. I agreed. I'm hoping that this opens a lot of people's eyes about the sacrifices veterans have made for our freedom. Even though the Vietnam War is over, my dad still stands guard over the memorial, in quiet peace.
Such a great Park tucked away and Howard county. Very short trail but well worth the walk
This was once where I grew up. The old stomping grounds.
👀I grew up here! There's now a big, beautiful park across the street!
Water level was too low to do anything I was able to get in the water, but getting out was extremely difficult. Guess I’ll wait till another day when the level is higher.

Very pretty and well made. Excellent access for people with disabilities but it is very short. It will be nice as the park develops and there are other trails to take.
I feel like the roads on this park have been closed through the last 3 years making it harder to access the park. It’s a lovely place outside of the roads.
Really enjoyed this trail overall. I really liked how closely this trail followed the river. I was able to get some really nice shots during my breaks. Due to the rain, certain parts of the trail was kinda slippery from the mud. The only other note worth mentioning is although the trail is paved, parts of the grassy areas appear to be paved by a lawn mower that hadn't mowed in a while. Certain grassy areas were a bit challenging to walk through but not impossible.
Great quiet place

Beautiful park awesome staff
Had a bunch of quiet hiking trails that lead to the Middle Patuxent River. I recently caught 2 smallmouth bass and several other fish out of the river from there.
Came out to these trails for the first time as we traveled through the area. Wasn’t sure what to expect but the trails surprised us how there was more to ride then we assumed. My 12 year old was thrilled with the many feature options built into the trails so he wasn’t bored, and yet plenty of switchback trails for less experienced adults riding along with him yet still able to get a great work out with the short climbs, fast flowy downhill, berms, jumps, and even some features too advanced for my son - there really is something for everyone. We rode Bentonville AR last week and this is fun like a mini version of the slaughter pen - features for more advanced yet enjoyable for the less than experienced like myself who loves to ride but I don’t feel overwhelmed by techy stuff like I do in Colorado (where we are from). This is truly a fun system for all levels…. It really could use a trail map however. Love the arrows on trees for correct directions but better map at trailhead or mid trail as well would be nice/helpful.

It may be the smallest park in Maryland. It is now completed and beautiful to take an easy walk along part of the Patuxent River.
It's a nice spot. You are able to pull your car between the railing (or around ) and get your kayaks right down the boat launch. Unsure why some have said there is a long walk to the water. The pond(settling pond) is also a great place to catch a mess of pan fish. Parked for over 6 hours multiple times and not a hair out of place.
Great park in our neigh neighborhood…we’ll maintained, and great rubber surface.

I almost don’t want t to share this because it’s such an unknown park. Under cover.. literally covered by trees and this gives a great shade from the hot sun. But really- no one is ever there. Ok maybe one, maybe two families max- but it’s a nice private place to burn some energy.
Nice place. Terrible to launch from. It's a pretty good walk to get into the water.

Very nice place!!
Fantastic peaceful place. Makes you forget about the rat race and all the unimportant things in life. First time here but will be back many times. Any place where I can meditate in peace for 20 minutes gets two thumbs way up!
It was a very beautiful scenery especially to be there with my fiance it was nice to hear the story about how his cousin they tried to set up a concert but it still managed to pour on them. Nice beautiful tall trees, but yeah if you want to take your kids here you have to watch them carefully because on both sides of the road are the highways.
It is absolutely beautiful this time of year. What a great place to take the family and dogs for a walk. With multiple trails, the joy of returning for another walk was an easy choice.

Beautiful natural space with fun playground area. But....where is the parking...
Great trail systems. Have both easier and difficult trails. I struggled with following the trails. Lots of intersections and I'm directionally challenged. Reading the trails was difficult for me. More experienced riders will probably be fine.

Went to LARP here. Had a blast. Beautiful park!
It was nice we set up flags for the 4th of july
Very well kept and a nice little sanctuary in the middle of a small military town. A little loud do to such close proximity to a busy street.
Good fun, solid intermediate trail, small burms lots of pump action, good flow. Jumps and drops if you want them and a skills course with table tops, jumps and drops. I did not do the skills course. Can also connect to the greenway. Trails are well marked with caution signs on big swales.

Great place for the whole family! Whether your thing is golf, taking the kids to play at the park, photography, or relieving so stress with nature. This is a nice place. Check out the trails!
Great place to hike. The trails are not hard, I see several families with young kids. The trails near the parking lot are well maintained, you can make different loops around. The South Wind trail could be muddy in the segment along the creek during wet seasons.

Great place, not too far out of the busy streets yet still feels very woodsy. Saw 4 deer on our walk on the orange trail. Reasons I knocked a star, can still hear highway traffic which takes away a little from the relaxing of nature and also the trail markers are not kept up well and are non existent in a lot of places, so it can take some guess work to find the right trail path. Would also be nice if they marked the random trails cut out. Has 2 play grounds, golf course, basket ball court, frisbee golf course, cabin for events, smaller amphitheater, volley ball court, horseshoe rings, picnic area, restrooms.

A great park for the community to enjoy a safe and peaceful environment while taking in the scenery that surrounds you. It's a well kept park that is provided by the Clarksville Parks & Recreation Department for the public. Let's all do our part by helping to keep it clean and well kept as the memorials this park serves are reasonably respected.
Clarksville's only exclusively MTB park. There's a good, quick cardio loop with a handful of fun features and downhill/jump trail. The park even has a beginner friendly trail and sessionable skills features right by the parking lot. The volunteer group, CAMBA TN, is constantly working to maintain and add to the park as well. They even have an upcoming race!
So peaceful and a great getaway away from all the hustle and bustle of societies busy days . Great for bikers even joggers or just to sit there and catch your breath taking in some fresh air, along with having the opportunity to meditate, focusing on mindfulness, and recapturing ones balance all while embracing natures beauty and all that reside amongst the thickness of the tall beautiful trees!
5 STARS!

A lot of family activities available such as their Hugh swimming pool and walking ares are under shade trees. Then they have been ball and tennis area. Visit local community area that's relevant to Colgate. Then there is the water front near by with restaurants and shops
This memorial is so sad because there are still POW and MIA that haven't been freed and/or found today. It really makes you think about the cost of war and what our men and women in the military risk every time they put on the uniform and deploy and just how lucky we, as Americans, really are.
Excited about what is happening at this park. Most cities don't have any MTB parks, not even Hopkinsville, but we have two! This track is more on the difficult side from a beginner standpoint and has enough challenges for the expert rider.

Since covid, the pool has been closed. Its a nice, big, new pool and it should open this year! The rest of the park usually isn't crowded. It has a modest playground, a covered place to eat and have birthday parties(reserve with parks dept to guarantee a spot) Nice sized field for drones, kites, or running with your dog (leashed,of course) For the size, it's a really nice place

Good views of the Ohio River and Louisville skyline. Pleasant. Nice setting. A few seats, concrete walking path goes further down along with playground & picnic tables. A few people with dogs, which were near the playground. Ice cream stand across the street. Cons: litter.

returned: March 2023, pleasant, ice cream nearby, peaceful, great view.

June 2023: nice atmosphere and great view of Louisville and the Ohio River. got there early Friday evening and it was awfully humid out, mosquitoes or bugs were out. Variety of people enjoying the park. Benches, tables and playground.
Worst park ever. No accessible pathways for anyone (all brambles and Rose bushes). The one brambly pathway leads to a river output where you can't fish or swim. My kids' hats were taken off by roses and mittens destroyed by barberry. Tons of litter. What's the point? At least there's disabled parking, though I'm not sure what they could do here. Not sure what anyone could do here. Maybe a bench would be nice? To think, someone actual put in a parking lot and a little landscaping, still wondering, why?

Average playground, other nice facilities: tennis courts, basketball court, one large shelter house. Recent landscaping has made a large grassy area next to the hill. No bathrooms, one questionable water fountain. Versatility keeps it at three stars.
