Top Parks in Algonquin Park, Canada

As always Ontario Parks does a great job of opening the park up to others. This spot is one of the busy ones, but they do a good job getting you out there. Next to them is Algonquin Outfitters and they have good rentals right by the lake.

Good place for renting and go kayaking and boating . There is a place for renting and also a shop for dining or buying some basic materials

It was great experience, the weather was amazing, and our guide Andrew is the best story teller. He is so knowledgeable, cheerful and friendly. Highly recommended activity

Not sure why there are so many reviews pertaining to the Canoe Lake (Portage) store.

As for the lake itself, it's awesome. Can get crowded with all sorts of pleasure craft but it provides a great access point to the park interior. Large safe parking lot, car access to the lake and a parks office just meters away from the water.

Rented a lightweight canoe for a four day trip with my son. Equipment is in excellent condition, staff are friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful trip. Algonquin is so beautiful.

We had stop over for lunch in the restaurants at the canoe lake, its was nice and food were good, lake was so good for canoe.

Booked a 3 day complete outfitting package and it was great. The team at Canoe lake were great before and during the time we arrived. They provided all of the things we needed, including a great range of food. All of the equipment was in perfect condition and of a high standard.. Would recomend.
