Excellent track. You can ride or walk this one and go for over 15km or much less if you would like. It's mostly flat and has plenty of places to sit and take in the "serenity."

They have done an amazing job setting up this area, a small piece of serenity nestled in a busy suburban area, and so good for the wildlife!

The small section where they have created a boardwalk for us to walk through is beautiful and quaint. I felt like I'd just stumbled upon my own little forest retreat, the sounds of cars driving nearby broke the reality, but it really is an epic feat in such a populated area.

The beauty of this as well, is that once you have taken in the boardwalk there are walking paths that lead off in both directions and continue around the picturesque Barwon River. On one side there are rotundas and open spaces to enjoy a picnic (and if you're so inclined a lovely little golf course, called the Balyang Par 3). On the other some sporting grounds and plenty of chairs to sit and admire the sights as you meander along the river.

Whichever way you chose to walk you'll find plenty of natural beauty and spaces to entertain both kids and adults alike.

Always a lovely walk, no matter the weather. The track is well maintained and is suitable for walking, running or biking. For those of you who like native wildlife, I've seen a platypus in the river before, so you can definitely find them if you look hard enough.

The heart of Geelong with a wonderful trail around it. Some really lovely wetlands and heaps of animals - countless birds and even platypus!

The Barwon River is home to plenty of native fauna and flora which adds to the amazing environment that encompasses the area. There's always plenty of spots along here to just sit back and kick back and relax with some mates or go for a walk, it is really good!

The river is very important component for the flora and fauna in the area. Not much rubbish around the area which is good, although due to the lack of rain, some of the plant life is looking a bit dry.

The Barwon River has to be one of the most beautiful rivers to flow through a major city in Victoria. It is by far my favourite when it comes to kayaking early in the morning or late in the evening, summer or winter. I love the bird life, all the cormorants, darts, ducks, water hens, cockatoos, magpies, ibis, even the odd pelican!
