My mother played here, I played here and now my son plays here.

Accessible park with free entrance in the heart of Lisbon
Large, fenced-in play area suitable for toddlers and children. Some equipment is quite dated, but it’s still fun for the kids. The two “pools” unfortunately aren’t suitable for swimming, so we were told by the staff.
such a cool place, lots of places to sit, one of the most favourit places to spend free time , very popular with residents of Lisboa
Nice park with a good barbeque area.
Beautiful and spacious public garden with water features and art installations - cafe offers indoor and outdoor seating.
This is a peaceful garden in the middle of Lisbon. There are amazing events happening for free. Check their websites and plan your visit accordingly.
Gulbenkian is a serene oasis in the city's heart. These beautifully gardens offer a perfect escape from the urban husteling with your love. With winding paths, lush greenery, and tranquil water features. The gardens seamlessly blend nature, art, and architecture, making them an ideal spot for reflection or a relaxing lunch break (with your love, once again and always when possible). Spending time here, you can truly feel the heartbeat of... Guess from who?
From your love.
Lovely place.
Beautiful gardens on the grounds of the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum.

Very well looked after with many trails and spaces to rest and enjoy the natural surroundings.
What a beautiful space (inside and out)! A small but well curated collection of antiquities through early 20th century. Beautiful gardens outside; I loved how one could view the outside while moving through the exhibits. Friendly staff and nice little cafe out in the garden. I would go back and definitely recommend it.

You can have picnics with the family. Great option
It is a beautiful, clean, and peaceful place. There's a lovely playground for children and seating for those who want to enjoy their time in the park. Although the parking lot is small, you can park on the other side of the park and walk here.
Beautiful garden at the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum. It is open free of charge. On sunny days, it is quite busy with locals enjoying their time off, yet it's still pleasant, as people respect each other's space. Also, there are several places where you can get a beverage. In the park are sculptures and plants like bridalwreath spirea, Japanese camellia, Rubber tree, Intermediate periwinkle, Common boxwood, Portuguese cherry laurel, and many others. You'll find many benches to sit and enjoy the day. Of course, it is perfect in combination with a visit to the museum of the same name.
Very good Park very clean and very good for kids
Gorgeous park with lots of fun options for children! A highlight is their bike trail complete with street markings and directional signs.
Best place for kinds! Fresh air really helps you release all the stresses you have been through! Place to be at least once a week for parents as well as children’s! Playground are really enough and the best part is that it’s available as a picnic spot as well! I saw some people with there dogs and pets which seems to be really friendly as well! Restroom are something that I will give some priority to improve!
Big park with lots of different spaces. There are areas that are a little run down, but overall it's a decent family park.
Wonderful park, beautiful places along the park, good food at the local “Cafetaria o conchas” after a round in the park! 👌🏻❤️
Awesome, serene, desolate.
The place itself is beautiful and the bar staff friendly, but dogs are not allowed anywhere in the park (which is in the middle of a forest)
Very large, varied and clean park. Kept our 3 year old extremely happy. No one else despite it being sunny.
You won't believe it until you experience it yourself! Lisbon's hidden gem awaits you with this remarkable art (and history) collection, its charming coffee shop and captivating garden. Take your time to savor the aromatic coffee and stroll around the mesmerizing garden. Trust me, this cultural center will be your favorite place in no time - like mine. (These pics are exclusively from the temporary exhibition, the Kings’ Gifts.)
I live near this park so I like to spend some time in it. The park is really big and located just in the middle of living area between buildings and schools. It has few areas - just grass to walk and play with pets and children, more old park, where you can find a hidden pond with turtles and many roads to walk, and more “forest” area. Green and has so many places to sit, read and chill. And I see this park is pretty popular in neighborhood.
It has the potential to be the best park in the city if anyone would invest in it.

It has:
In the central part is a big lawn, great for picnics and enjoying the peace and quiet (ducks, peacocks, gees and chickens excluded).
To the west of the lawn there is a dog or children park, i was not sure, but it is fenced so they don't bother those that are allergic to them.
On the other side to the east of the lawn there is a pond with ducks.
Further east from the lawn there are staircases that lead to the closed section unfortunately, with a garden done in french style, with a symmetrical pattern of short hedges outlining the flowers planted there. And by looking at it on google maps it is apparent that on the other side of it there are staircases again leading to another similar area that is also closed off.
To the north of the lawn there are buildings. First up right next to the lawn there is a glass dome that looks like a theater of some sort, although small and half the glass roof is shattered, then behind it there are buildings that look like maybe they were coops for the birds that are now running around. Coming right behind that is a plato with a big circular water feature that isn't working and half around it is a wall with a (closed) gate that leads into a (overgrown) corridor that leads to some sort of i guess important building.
Next to the corridor starts a cactus garden that has been left unchecked for far too long. Even though cactuses are thriving, the paths through it are bit harder to navigate so caution is advised.

Beautiful smallish park. Lots of benches.
Take a s break from walking this beautiful city.

(But please throw away your garbage in the bins! )

Certain days there is a crafts market with truly beautifully made local products, from shoes boots and slippers to soaps, teas... Very varied.
And an organic (bio) produce market with great fare.
Very nice and clean garden in the Principe Real neighbourhood.

Lots of shady areas and greenery to sit and relax. Playgrounds for the kids and a small kiosk also available.
This is my favourite park to chill in Lisbon. Nice kids playground. Local Portuguese gentlemen playing their board games, nice and friendly kiosk for a glass of wine or a beer. Lots of trees.
The park could be beautiful as I believe once was, but today it is very poorly maintained with destroyed paths, overgrown bushes and sad abandoned buildings. It probably wouldn't even be expensive to restore it, so I'm confused how they could let this happen.
Lovely park across from our hotel, there was children's play area and steep walk up to the top which had views across the river and city.
Nice park for sitting and taking a restful break from the hustle and bustle of central Lisbon. Some lovely plants and trees, a cafe, play area and a bandstand that was currently under renovation when we visited. Lovely views of the Basilica da Estrela.
a pretty park. safe. lots of shaded seating. water fountains dotted around. pretty plants. playgrounds.

What a beautiful place to enjoy some leisurely time doing nothing at all. The views from the north end are all the way down to the river and across. It's a great park to stroll through or sit down either on a bench, the lawn or a great little rest stop offering drinks and small plates. Don't forget to cross the street at the north end to continue walking through some beautiful gardens and water feature. Just wish that they would trim the hedges to keep their straight lines.
We visited this park after a full day of walking around Lisbon. We were not expecting to walk up hill to see the view point. We were already drained from our exploring walking day. Lol. Maybe this tainted my review. Nice view point, but definitely not my favorite in Lisbon.

A lively ancient park with huge, beautiful trees. Some are rare specimens. The park has comfortable spaces, is very clean, and lively. Families, outdoor yoga and activities, à handcraft market twice a month (on Sunday), playground, and 2 coffee shops where you can sit and enjoy a drink or a snack in the beautiful scenery.

Nice garden and some exotic plants. Ideal place to rest, read a book or even eat calmly a sandwich and relax. There is also a café around the corner ( I didn’t check the prices but I would imagine them normal for the area - it seems to be used essentially by locals, which is nice ).
Basilica da Estrela an example of the Portuguese neoclassical and baroque style it’s just in front/near by the main entrance ( I truly recommend a visit to this beautiful church - even if I think it’s impossible to miss it 😁).
Nice place to walk, lots of dogs to pet, very relaxing, very entertaining to see the ducks, even saw some baby ones

We were there for World Youth Day 2023. Crowds were immense but the grounds of the park were beautiful and the surrounding area very clean. Looks like a wonderful park.
Great park (very hilly so beware if you intend to run) - very nice space with tons of greenery, really feels like outside of the city.
Must visit place..❤️❤️

At this site, the WYD 2023 inaugural mass was conducted in the esteemed presence of Pope Francis, drawing a gathering of approximately 300,000 youth. Being part of this extraordinary moment in Portugal's history was an exceptional privilege.

This a beautiful park that is located off the beaten path. It is quite hilly but there is plenty of shade. The main reason to go is to see all the species of native birds. I saw chickens, geese, pigeons, and peacocks. Just make sure to not step in the animal dung!

A otherwise beautiful park. Unfortunately we got here the week before the popes visit, which meant there were trucks and construction everywhere. Still, can recommend both the park and it's surrounding cafés.

Yesterday Sunday I was in Parque Eduardo VII, its so relaxing, nice n quite place to enjoy. There’s a book fair w/food stalls and music on the day.
This is a must see. You get amazing photos and views from the observation deck. It's a really nice walk on a steady incline so wear good walking shoes.

Absolutely got surprised by this little park in a quite busy city district. I was expecting an average garden park in the middle of a concrete jungle, but when I entered I got a real different feeling. Being used to Lisbon's buzziness, I am often missing the nature. This park has a very wild feeling to it. Even though it still offers the clean open grass area to lie down and enjoy a picnic with friends and family, you feel like in the middle of untouched nature just a few steps away from the central grass area. The cactus garden offers exactly what you expect and more. There are wild plants and of course 🌵🌵 but there are also free running chicken and even peacocks with beautiful feathers. Feels very untouched, and has even a great view to the bridge. The constant airplane crossing still remind you that you are almost in central Lisbon. Definitely worth a visit if you like wild nature and peace just around the corner.
First class experience! Monsanto Ecological Park is best.

A beautiful park which could also go as a botanical garden. Loved the welcome by a beautiful peacock, followed by plenty of different birds. The show was given by a very sociable pack of geese. Loved it

A calm place to find a bench to read in the shade, or walk your dog, or a coffee at the cafe
Small park in a busy part of Lisbon. Has a small organic farming market on a Saturday and playground for children. There are wooden tables and chairs and seems nice enough
Very calm space - the perfect get away from the busy touristy areas. Some visitors are sunbathing on the grass. The cactus garden impressed me with the size of the cactuses - some of them were twice my height. There are many happy birds but mostly roosters, crowing non-stop. It’s probably a way to prove their masculinity in front of the chicks… actually I don’t know - it’s not my business :) There are several neglected structures that are still quite beautiful.
Well laid out gardens with fruit and veggie patches. Benches for seating, fountain and large grass area.
Eclectic, wild, and charming, even with some tough edges. Very gentle hiking trails. Easily accessible by car.

There's a hidden gem in the park - a collection of one of the oldest cacti on the planet.
It's a free admission to the park except for the restroom, you'll have to pay for adults.
There's a water fountain in the park, so you can fill your bottle with it.
We visited during Easter holiday, and it was very nice to see that someone was sweet and thoughtful to "hide" some candies in trees and bushes for kids.
The tour was awesome and the park is very nice.
Loved the tour.
Most favorite park in Lisbon. It's a perfect combination of nature, art, walkways, grass, benches, and cafe in a free space that's easy to get around.
Way better than the botanical garden nearby, and it's free!
I loved the old tree the most and the other cluster of trees that make up the garden. A great place to spot and there are enough vendors to get snacks, beer or a cup of coffee.

Once you are here and you are in for a hike, you can walk to Rato or even Estrella. You can catch the tram 28 to Chiado or do a detour to Cais do Sodre. It is not an easy walk, but yeah, some of the random.things you do in Lisbon and get home walking about 8 - 10,000 steps.

So soothing place in Lisbon to sit and relax in lush green surrounding. Its facing iconic landmark church. The setup of garden is beautiful with amount of seating. It's pets friendly place. There is a small pond. I saw multiple people doing yoga and training which also add life to this place
Amazing small. Garden in very beautiful area for pet walk and child play area there are wooden seat to sit down and enjoy. Very old type of trees looks ancient and historic
Lovely nature park in Lisbon accessible for all. I appreciate the different hiking trails marked with distances making it easier to choose based on one’s time and energy. There are also some great views.

Un lugar mágico !
Amazing playgrounds for kids on 3 levels. Very well kept and the eucalyptus trees surrounding the park makes the air smell very fresh. There are toilets right next to the playgrounds which is very handy as well as two paddling pools and a huge shaded seating area. Has to be the best park in Lisbon!
Small, but nice playground
Wunderschön. Sehr gepflegt. Kann ich jedem der Botanik mag nur sehr ans Herz legen.
Beautiful garden, right at the heart of Lumiar. It has two cafés serving drinks and quick meals. There is a dog park, and children playground, along with several abandoned farming structures (water tanks, etc.)

The garden is the result of the joining of the grounds of two villas, fact that is apparent in the name - Lilases and Conchas. A wall between the two was kept for the most part. The two properties werejoined in the late 19c by owner Francisco Mantero and are now under the City Hall management.

Quinta dos Lilases has a lake with two artificial islands representing S. Tomé e Príncipe, where the fortune of the owner Francisco Mantero had been made. Lilases' space is more uniformly covered with trees and is crisscrossed by paths.

Quinta das Conchas reminds of an "english landscape" garden, with a big central lawn, a lake, clusters of trees here and there and a wood area (a "mata"). In it, the ruin of a tower is said to have been the residence of Mantero's wife, "emprisoned" in her last years, gone mad, and forever haunting the place.

The big open lawn is stage for ball games and family gatherings and is very lively. Open air cultural venues (cinema, jazz festivals) are held in the park specially in the summer, and also a local farm's market.

The park is served by buses and subway (Quinta das Conchas station) and several different entrances.

Beware of opening times (not all gates have the same schedule though) -- winter: 6-20h, summer: 6-22h.
Very nice place to have fun with your family and kids. There are tables for picnic and a cafeteria to buy some snacks. Don't bring big bikes only small bikes are allowed. Pets are not allowed.
Nice places in the zone. No bathrooms.
Nice play grounds for children
Are you into running 🏃‍♀️? Meditating 🧘‍♂️? Or maybe a pic-nic is more in tune with your belly🧺.

This park is just by a subway station and its the perfect place to retune yourself, alone or with friends.

From 6 am to 1 am everyday, I'm sure you'll be thankful to spend some time visiting ♥️
Excellent playground for kids, surrounding view amazing
A big green park and a nice quiet place in the middle of the city.
You can walk around just for hours and find one nice spot after the other. Endless ways and nice views.
One of the highlights is the ‘panoramico de Monsanto’, that’s definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful urban forest. A haven of calm and beauty above the city.
Beautiful park that you can walk around all day. Bring plenty of water and snacks though!!
I simply love this park. Time just sort of stops when I walk there and I cannot take one bad photo. Green all year round, magical place.
Best place for a walk, awesome preserved nature, wild and free feeling close to the city, great clean air
One of the best and biggest Lisbon playgrounds very good for picnics, amazing views over the city.

I have visited this park thousands of times since i was a child. Absolutely love it and my kids too
Very beautiful park! Good for relaxing and exercising 😊 waterfalls, palmtrees and green fields! Playground for children and also toilets and places to sit and buy drinks/foods.
Perfect place for picnick. Family and kids friendly. Very spacious, big forest with many paths to walk. Good for exercising, jogging and hiking. Forest is full with many species of plants to appreciate, full of berries to munch. :)
Schöner Ort zum Spielen
Nice place to take the kids. There is a very good playground. Kids can also ride their bikes and lovely pic nic area.
Nice place to walk on the sunny day
