What an Awesome place!! We hung out for the day. It was pretty busy with people having fun. Great views & waterfront. BTW it closes at dusk even though google says 10pm. A friendly cop let us know at 930

I probably came at the wrong time of year (early November) and it was extremely cold and windy. I am very familiar with Lake Michigan, but it was so sunny and 55 away from the lake, but felt like 37. A very nice park otherwise. With very few amenities.
Amazing on a clear dark night!!!
Despite being closed and being spoken to very rudely by the grounds guy, we were able to walk in. We did so only to find that there was indeed a gate open and could have driven in like the other people. Absolutely beautiful place. Can't wait to return.
Henes Park is a great place in the city to feel like you are far away. There is a lot to do in the park like walking the trails, enjoying the view, hitting the beach or playing at the playground. The playground does have some broken equipment though. There are also spots to park and enjoy a picnic.
To fulfill my glowing US States visited, drove from Green Bay to Menominee, Michigan. So Michigan is now my 42nd State visited. Stopped by John Henes Park for a little stroll and few pics and the park was absolutely green and lush. The view of Lake Michigan is vast and serene. The lake appeared gloomy with a skyline of grayish silver where the sun tried forcefully to penetrate the cloud and the waves hummed and crashed the rocks.
The park's entrance is one-way so you have to drive the loop through the entire park. There are many recreational opportunities such biking, fishing, picnicking, swimming, and walking. It was cloudy, few raindrops, and a little chilly for me, a Floridian (53 degrees) so I did not walk a lot but that did not deter me from admiring its beautiful nature.

Excellent beach! It was very clean. The beach and the water were practically free of debris and organic decay. The water was quite cold the day I went, refreshing in the hot humid summer air though. I will definitely be coming again!

We were just looking for a quick place to walk around and hang out by the water. Pleasantly surprised to find flush toilets. Beach area was clean. Park was MUCH bigger than we expected. Lots of great things to do.

Great place to cool off catch a break while letting the kids burn some energy in some safe and shallow waters. Once you get past the fist 15 feet (5m) of the shoreline the water is great. Nice and warm sand bars galore. Fido can get out as well and should be on a leash. Easy for full sized campers as well to park.

Wonderful little park!
Beautiful. Nice place to stop and stretch. Small parking area. 1 porta potty. There is a 5.00 free to park. Kids loved it. You can picnic and swim. There are sea shells all over.
This is one of the most beautiful parks I’ve seen. My partner and I decided we want to get married here if possible 💕💕

Great View across the bay to Door County nice Sandy Beach except for all the stinky seaweed washed up this year making it almost impossible to wade into the water.

Was a nice park to let the dog run and the kids swing. Even sited the elusive payphone, non functional. Went there in winter months so gates were locked. Will come back again in nicer weather.

So many shells and driftwood to collect along the shoreline. Breathtaking views! ♥️

Just know, you sadly can not get too close to the water right now because as you get past the main shoreline, the sand is so mushy you start to sink. Also, the bathroom was VERY dirty... The garbage can was overflowing, there was trash in the pit toilet, no soap and smelled AWFUL. I had to wait to go until the next town.

My youngest and I went just for area so she could practice color guard. I had no idea the park had new equipment. We played on the music instrument at the entrance and looked at all the new playground equipment. Very neat.

Good park, good beach, wander too far into the water and get covered in algae. There is a cool little shell-covered spot just south along the shore.

Nice new playground! Tennis courts and a big shade pavilion. Bathrooms are a little gross but that can be expected in public areas. I would suggest sunscreen as the playground is in full sun with zero shade. I would also avoid the trail/woods behind the play area/pavilion as someone has recently taken that as their residence and garage is being dumped over there.

Beautiful Park located along Lake Michigan. You can drive around it in the summertime. It's closed in the winter to vehicle traffic but you can walk around it for a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Nice fresh crisp clean air. They have a nice playground if you have kids.

A small park that offers some parking, seasonal restrooms, a boat launch, memorial, and foot trails through the woods. The park and boat launch are seated into the little river, which then becomes the Menominee River after the bridge.

Tourist Park is a very nice sand beach park in downtown Menominee, Michigan. The beach was impeccably clean. The city combs the sand to keep it clean. The water of Green Bay (Lake Michigan) was also surprisingly clear. The city of Menominee is an interesting destination with lots of shops. I will definitely return.

So I visited this park today, its definitely best for young families, large leisurely gatherings, and older couple strolls. It has lots of trees, mutiple shallow beach areas, and quite a few stretches of walking trails that connect parts of the park with each other. This is not a park for avid hikers looking to break a sweat. It does have lots of green all around and a sense of serenity. It can get crowded tho at times

I think some people confuse Fat Ladies Beach (aka Tourist Park) with 2 other used to be beaches in the area. There are no rest rooms at Fat Ladies. No entertainment or food/beverage. The former beach at the marina, although still used by some, is mostly a seawall of large rocks and is not groomed. Memorial Beach also is now mostly a seawall of large rocks. Memorial does have restrooms.

Beautiful Park, our Fur Baby loved it too. Went to John Henes Park today September 18th. So today September 9th 2023 we went back to Henes Park this morning and it was just amazing. Went walking down the trails the Sun was beautiful shining through the trees and I seen a snake that I've never seen in there before. Beautiful walk with our loveable Peanut.
Toking lots of Dubies at the park and tagging the graffiti wall... yes my friends, all that and more is just the beginning of your wonderous adventure here at Duby Park! 🏞️
Great park and trails! We really enjoyed hiking around and enjoying nature. We saw lots of deer while on the trails. The water views were pretty amazing, too. Seems like a great place for get-togethers and picnics. It was very peaceful.

Great little beach! We accidentally stumbled upon it today. Perfect weather. Mostly clean. Cold water of course, but our kids didn't seem to mind one bit! Sandy in most areas. Bathroom building nearby (not great... buggy, clean toilet though, more like emergency use only lol). We will definitely come back when we are up north again.

Nice clear day and a ship
So this park gets a 5-star rating fromme because of the fact that the tag wall, which they encourage artwork, actually had something awesome. It said f*** Trump and I will always love it for that.
Aside from that, the scenery is pretty nice and there's an ice rink in winter.

Fun little playground by the lake.
Heroes get remembered but, legends never die. The place where legends are made.
Absolutely beautiful for nature thrill seekers. And survivalist like myself! Nighttime offers spooky stuff for ghost hunters too! Werewolf that howles back. Goat man? Awesome.
Grew up in this park as a child.. And still making memories with my family here
They have a graffiti wall for whoever to paint on and a basketball court. Public restroom. In the winter they have an outdoor skating rink and keep it plowed and maintained for the public.
