This is a great green space for close to where I work. I was looking for a place to have my lunch break and I found this surprisingly quaint gem.
Looove this park, there's room for the toddlers and then the basketball court for the older kids, a nice open field if and one likes soccer, soft ball, flying a kite and the workout area keeps me busy while they do their thing. Plus, parents look out for each other while there it's just awesome!
Such a nice park with a lots of trash right by Starbucks.

SNOW DAY IN WEST BALTIMORE
Crackheads in the parking lot not safe, especially if you’re white, got yelled by some real sketchy people while running.
You have to distinguish upper Herring Run from lower Herring Run. The upper part is lovely. The lower part is literally a dumping ground for mattresses and trash, which is a shame, because it’s a potentially beautiful area.
Yes Keep up the Great work I would love to see more of this so I can take my babies to enjoy what I use to not just at my sister's house but every child should be able to walk to just one playground ☮️🌍🙌🙏🌟🫶💛💖💜❤️🔥🌹🥰
I grew up playing here!! I remember when it was first built in the 70s. To see it upgraded well kept, painted, beautiful grass and a new play area is a beautiful thing!! Thank you for taking care of this space. Thank you Baltimore Ravens for putting play equipment here for the children. Thank you St. FRANCES Community for all that you do and have done for the Whitelock Playground!! The movie nights are awesome in the Summer and Fall. You can spend the day here just pack a lunch and let the children play!!
Trash all over the walkway. It looks like it washed up out of the bay but it should have been cleaned up. The fishing pier it is cracking and has a lot of holes. Not fun. Fishing should be enjoyable. There is also a track from cars driving there. To my amazement there were trailers in the parking lot and people were living there. Public spaces that are now private. SHAMEFUL
It was ok. Went on a Saturday and there was a lot of trash laying around and there was only one table to sit at in the entire playground. It had plenty of benches but if you want to feed kids with a snack of some sort, it has to be an on the go item.
Finally found this fully enclosed space that gave my dog room to run that is a hidden gem. Open 24 hrs and I have never had issues with other animals.

A hidden gem. Not too crowded. Clean paved trail for skinny tire bikes. It runs alongside a small stream. I will definitely visit hear again…
Very good park always clean and I have yet to experience kids being there with a lot of drama always usually parents with their kids just like the good old days… somebody know what I’m talking about…

This park is perfect for exercise, children, sports, dog walks, date ideas, hangouts and more. So much space to do what you want

A quaint and cozy little park nestled conveniently in the heart of Station North, just a couple of blocks from greenmount. I enjoyed biking here on Thanksgiving 2022. I love parks!! And you would enjoy this one too.
The swings are messed up to many people there

I had a few run in here but for the most part it's chill... dogs love it an it has a swing set for the kiddo

This is mine and my husband's favorite spot to just get away and relax and take walks!! Besides the trash from things going on and people not cleaning up after there selfs I dont have no complaints. Most the time my husband will go around with a trash bag and pick up the trash people have left behind. He also always finds things like radio's, money ect.
Fantastic park with very nice neighbors and dogs. I've been going there with my dog Bella for over 7 years and never had a problem
I walk for excerise everyday. My goal is to go somewhere different each day. This was really nice, great area. There was a guard on every corner, since you're right in the community of John Hopkins Hospital. I felt safe since I was walking @ 5am.🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️
Beautiful little park in the middle of Greenmount West. It's kept clean and plants and flowers are regularly cared for. It's definitely a community park. I wish it had more for children through, a small playground or slide for kids. Maybe some fun equipment for them to use up their energy. I do love that it has a little library for kids and adults to get new books to read. Maybe an open reading of kids books on nice evenings would be good!
It was a good to get out nice and peaceful feeding the pigeons seagulls and geese
It's really nice, if people could learn to throw there trash in trash can then on the ground. Other then that the kids love it, it has multiple slides. And baby swings which is nice when u have a 2 year old.
Very beautiful and nice park. Has trails in the woods or you can walk the path.

I've participated in the first renovation and renaming of this little park. This is a very nice place for kids to get out and get a little recreation or just have a little fun.Lots of community participation

Cool park. Problem is, parents frequently leave their kids there and make it uncomfortable for others. I dont want someone elses kid hassling me for things and to be played with. Not in todays world. Watch your own child. Heaven forbid i give someones child a ride on the swing and next thing ya know, im being questioned about whatever. It seems the parents from the surrounding community need to be reminded that part of raising children is actually raising the children. Take em to the park. Dont leave them for others to take care of. I wont be returning. Its okay. The park will do fine without me. Besides, i dont want my child crunching on crack vials.

Awesome park in the middle of the East Baltimore city. This location was built to incorporate green space into residential areas. It's a place to kick back on a sunny day & have lunch outside. Johns Hopkins uses this space to host events for the community. There's a stage for local artisit to perform. There is plenty of green space to bring a blanket & relax. There's plenty of space for zumba, yoga, meditation, people watching, social gatherings and plenty other activities. This location is also equipped with watering pad for the children to enjoy the sprinklers on a hot summer day. Overall its a neat location and a much needed addition to the area. Together we heal! Together we vibrate higher!
Of course, I would pick a rainy, chilly day to go; but it was a nice atmosphere.

NICE PARK NO SWINGS OR SWINGSET NOTHING FOR THE KID'S TO DO THERE AT ALL BUT WALK AROUND NO SITTING DOWN.
It's nice and from what I saw it's clean and a safe place for kids to play basketball games and baseball games as well. Also a nice place to have a picnic or maybe a kids birthday party in the months of good weather.
Very open area. Usually alot of people but it's still alot of area to cover. Has a park, basketball court, soccer field, baseball fields and plenty of open grass to all you animals.
This hidden gem is a great little dog park nestled behind some restored row houses in station north. It’s got seating and a swing set. There are also community tennis balls for dogs to play with if you forget your dogs toy at home. It’s generally empty whenever I go.
Not a large park but anywhere the kids can burn some energy is a good place for me.
Beautiful place quiet great place for the kids to run around. Great pkace to have a picnic went there with my mom and sister and i took my transformers.
Dirty and ghetto
Nice paved trail excellent for walking, running, jogging, biking, roller skating, skate boarding, scotter's, strollers, and any other type/way that you like to go trailing....kids love it shaded areas and waterfalls along the way.. wear bug protection.. but otherwise you'll have a good time... plus there are maps along the way and little history plack's as well as distance to different destinations goes all the way to the inner harbor one way n to bmore county other way.
Quiet area do far except all the sirens uou hear. Also alot of helicopter noise. Very close to police station but the parking is horrible.

I traveled from East to West Bmore for playtime. The children were able to try many different activities (sliding, climbing, bouncing, spinning, running and swinging to name a few). There is a raised platform area between the playground and the community farm (I've used the farm several times this year). The children enjoyed their time and didn't want to leave. The area is surrounded by affluent homes, dilapidated homes and buildings under development. So, you'll see many walks of life strolling through the area. Everyone we saw was respectful or just minded their business. We will go again.
Good clean area
This is a unique park with a lot to offer. There is a charming stage right next to the playground. The basketball courts are close by without being right on top of the space. Nice big open space with a great Urban feel.
Very nice usually not crowded
The lower part of herring run used to be really nice despite being an old dump. It was very peaceful up until 3-4 years ago i could walk for hoursand not see anyone. Now you can't go down there without hearing gunshots and seeing tons of Corona beer bottles. The 🇲🇽mehheekins 🇲🇽 ruined this once beautiful place and that's the truth.
