Great trails with bike shop outpost...everything was well maintained, climbs werent crazy
, and downhills were fun...the navigation was a tad tricky if youve never been here before. But overall a great time
First rec and parks. Very impressed. Quite high prices for the pool. Park , walking trails, and mountain biking very fun and free.

Beautiful gardens in a beautiful park. The only thing I noticed is the complete lack of butterflies Moths dragonflies and other pollinators, but then I noticed the signs that they posted about the pesticides they spray on everything. There is a lot of Joe Pie and. Milkweed, they are like candy to swallowtails and what few Monarchs there are left, I guess the spray got them. Guess a bug free zone is better.

Lovely park with a great playground, nice walking trails among the marshes and beautiful botanical gardens!
Local MTB park super convenient to Lake George. Is it full of big drops or jumps? No. Pretty much all trails are easy or intermediate even the black trails. Good mix of single track and XC riding and the additional lower connector trail system makes for extended rides. Some nice short flowy sections, knobby single track and couple rock gardens. I come here more for off days riding when I just want to get in a quick lap or two. Parking is large with multiple areas upper and lower to trailheads. It’s part of a community rec area so it does get crowded on weekends and summer when you have overflow from people using the pool and day camps.

BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL PARK!! Did not expect the incredible botanical garden! I was visiting from out of state. I didn't even walk the whole park, but it's one of the nicest, cleanest and prettiest I have ever seen and I've been to hundreds of parks in many states. I was alone and this park was so welcoming and peaceful. Would have loved to add pics but there's already hundreds on here. I think there is a port-o-potty?
Great fenced in playground, with picnic tables & benches inside the fence. A short walk down the path to the gazebo, to overlook a cute little pond, flower gardens and additional little trails to wander. Occasionally the friendly little ducks come right up to you. Hands down our favorite park in the area! Cute little place to play or enjoy a picnic.

A great little treasure of a park. Good parking, small lot though. Port a potties, nicely kept playground, war memorial area, great gazebo overlooking the pond. They have picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and even a wooden boardwalk through the marsh area.

Nice park with entrance to Feeder Canal tow path.
Awesome trails!
We are a couple of 60+ year olds, and have been working our way thru the local trails. This one took us almost twice as long than the same distance on Halfway Brook, we really needed to pay attention to the roots and rocks....which is totally OK with us! Was a good little workout!

Great spot for young and old kids. Nice walk around the pond and a couple short accessible boardwalks rough the wet land area.

This park has so much to offer for the size. Forefront has a playground and tables for families. As you pass that you come to a garden with paths to see all the natural plants from the area. Then you come to a platform that juts out over the pond where you may find kids fishing. Walking around the pond 4 times will complete a mile but there is another path, boardwal style, that takes you into the swampier part of the pond to indulge in the plants and creatures who reside there. Along the roadside of the pond is halfway brook, used for centuries by the local indigenous people, and then for the white man, who traverse it up into the lower hills of the Adirondacks on the way to Fort Ticonderoga.
Just sit a spell. It enchants you.

You would never know you are in the middle of a city! Wow, this spot is a treasure. Peaceful, beautiful and the sky and moon were just playing along tonight!

Not sure how it is now due to the fact that I moved, but when I was a kid this was one of my favorite playgrounds. I used to call it the pink playground. But now I notice the colors are different:( sad.

It's fairly clean and big portapotties with plenty of trash cans for garbage and recycling.

Water was super calm, peaceful, and warm for a nice early evening paddle. First time going here and I’m impressed!! Of course it’s winding down of the summer season so it wasn’t overly crowded. Nice location on the Hudson.
Took my grandkids to swim lessons for 3 days. Great facility, swim area, lifeguards were awesome with the kids. In addition, there are playground, picnic areas, hiking trails as well.

Love coming here just to chill out and listen to the dam flowing. Glad it’s not as trashy as it used to be. Actually looks pretty damn good now!

Small children's playground and tennis courts. Has a Boat launch down the road, which we used. It is on the Hudson river. The boat launch has a pavilion for family gathering. There is parking at the park and the boat launch. It is by the northway. You do hear the traffic. I would return.
Good park kids love it but noticed some broken glass not on playground itself but in Grass by trees and one of the spinning things was broken wit a metal screw poking out where I assume a wheel once was

Not like it use to be, but still a great place to visit. For the people that aren't from here, and whom changed the name, it's called The Rapids.

Took my children to the park to play. Totally tired out. Wish there was more shade such as having some trees in the vicinity of the playground.

Great park, playground inside as well. It was clean and well kept. The park was well maintained today and you could go all the way down to the water side at the pond to fish. Lots of little areas to rest and get out of the sun such as gazebos, pavilion, ect. There is a little wetlands area with some information of the purpose of the wetlands and what lives there. Around the pond you can walk the path and 3.5 times is equal to 1 mile. There is also a deck that overlooks the pond to fish off of. A little garden between the playground and pond with a little path throughout. Did not see any bathrooms but there were porta potties in the parking lot.
When I go to Gurney for Mountain biking I know it's going to be a fun time. Wide range of trail styles. Mostly fast single-track with rock gardens and tech blended in nicely. 2 fun jump lines too.

Nice park if you have kids. For adults, they have 2 tennis courts. There is another parking lot if you continue driving, near to waterfront and it is beautiful. Perfect for kayaking, jet ski and small boats.

Overlook Park is a small park located at the beginning of the Champlain Feeder Canal and adjacent Feeder Canal Towpath Trail. Free parking for about 10 cars. No port-a-potties, picnic tables or other amenities. The park is mostly used as the starting point for those walking, jogging or biking along the 9-mile trail (leashed dogs allowed) or canoeing/kayaking on the canal. The trail is very flat and suitable for children and those with mobility problems.
Amazing attraction here in Queensbury! So much to see and do at this park.

There are many trail options, whether it be for hiking or mountain biking, plus a large pool and playgrounds.

I really like the "You are Nature" trail which is a nature trail for walking. You walk along a beautiful creek which runs into the Gurney Lane Pond.

Lots of mountain biking options, outdoor recreation and more. Great place to see wildlife, nature and have fun!
the mountain biking trails are super smooth and they have many different short lines from expert to beginners. even a small park type course with jumps tree rides and a v shaped bridge that flows into too jumps

The structures are pretty cool (they have a wedding thing that my kids love to climb), but there was trash everywhere. The splash park is pretty small, too. If you live around here, go to the splash park at MacDonald park instead.

Nice small, but deep boat launch with dock. No problem launching my 22' deck boat. Pretty area of river to see fall foliage or swim in the summer. You must get off I87 at X18, then make first right back a few miles to the park and river.

My children's favorite local playground. Good equipment, covered picnic tables, and there's usually a porto there. Set back from the road and relatively safe.

Neat playground. We noticed several broken things though. Also we're quite a few unsupervised or under-supervised kids here. Curse words graffitied on equipment and picnic tables. Basketball court, small pavilion, and a handful of benches are also available. Not our favorite playground but it's good for a shorter playground trip.

Great spot to launch some kayaks and enjoy your day. Saw some Canadian Geese and a Great Blue Heron, and loved the simple novelty of kayaking under the Northway!

This area is good for locals who know how to access it. Can be difficult to find if you don't know the area. It's usually not busy and rarely people there. There's access to a boat launch a walks distance away. (To the Hudson River.) It is not a good launch for kayaking because there is a lot of boat and wave runner traffic here.
