4 stars just for no game wardens harassing you there. Just a boat inlet, shelter and grill with bathrooms. But clean with a couple accesses to river. Took 84 year old buddy and was great for that. Easy to find.

We saw a few different bird species and got to chat with the squirrels while we were on our walk. Unfortunately, there are a lot of fallen and cut down trees, really unsure why...?

Even tough it is small park in the middle of Warren it is possible to see, rabbits, deers and lot's of birds among other animals. The track has around 2km where you can walk, run and bike. People are friendly and the trail is very well kept. It is a everyday trail if you live nearby.

Great smooth water. Pavilion to have a birthday party at or picnic and fish.

This was a pleasant surprise! We came because I was really in the need for a nature walk, and the Forest Trail was really lovely. We got caught up halfway feeding the squirrels which was super fun. I’d definitely come back for a walk here if I was in the area.

A nice little gem in Madison Heights. Perfect for a walk or run with the 🐶. Fall colors are GLORIOUS! Friendly, informative staff in the nature center.

Very pretty, clean bathrooms well kept, playground was nice. Was a nice place to take a break on our trip home!

I absolutely love being able to spend time in my kayak in this lovely area. It is never overcrowded and generally stays pretty clean.

My hubby and I went and fished didn't catch any big ones but still had a good time . Trash was all over the ground. But still a good place

I caught 3 raccoons in my backyard with a live trap so I let them go inside the nature center. That way they should have plenty of trees to make a nest and

Awesome playground to stop at and eat lunch in the shade.

Window smashed in with a rock in the parking lot. White male, about 5'10" beard possibly homeless blonde/strawberry blonde hair. I enjoyed the walk through the park, but unfortunately this was my first and last time coming.

The park was a nice spot for launching a boat. But there's the dam to portage if you're going down-river very far.
The portage wasn't convenient unless we didn't find the right spot.

Beautiful and peaceful. For walking or bike riding. It's my go to place to have me time.

Came mid-week to watch the water! So beautiful and almost completely empty when I went. I will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful and well kept trail that is very easily navigated. Lovely in the fall. Fun story along one trail for kids. Some art set up by the Detroit Institute of Art. In the way of wildlife, we saw squirrels and deer. There are also benches set along the trail.

Asphalt paths, fully shaded. Clean and well kept nature center for the kids.
Lots of learning stations on the paths.

Very nice park with huge Pic nic shelter, grills and also a nice dock for kayaks, and other boats.
Although there are a lot of ducks here, it's pretty clean which I really appreciate.
It's free to park, even overnight.
There's a playground for kids, and parking spots big enough for vehicles and trailers.

This place has beatiful scenery and it is free to visit. However, when I was there, everyone I saw was rude and suspicious. Luckily I was on my own for most of the time. There is a beatiful large cliff here rising above the parking lot. At the bottom of the boat ramp, there is a beatiful view of the James river with the downtown Lynchburg skyline rising above it. There is even a small beach of sand/mud here.

Lovely canopy of trees. Incredible fully accessible path. Serene and perfect. The storybook trail was so inventive and sweet. Perfect place to take small children. Well taken care of.

Stumbled upon this park on the river with high hopes. Unfortunately, there was a lot of trash and cigarette butts all over the place.
The kids playground actually looked pretty decent, if it weren't for all.of the aforementioned trash and cigarette butts. It does have a nice canoe/kayak launch for fishing.
Overall, the park has potential if it was taken better care of.

Nice & Clean park with river. I spent some quality peaceful time in the park. I would like to mention about a bird(don’t the name) which was very friendly. It does not run away from people. I liked the bird. I am sharing picture of bird.

I love this park, But due to the rain all of the trash from the The bridge has washed down into the park so the park is not dirty it’s the road that’s dirty so someone needs to clean the road and then the park when I get dirty

Very peaceful place when you want to get away from the world. You can fish there cookout there pack a lunch. And u can watch the train when it passes. Well kept bathroom, and playground. You can sit there and just let the weight of the world just melt away. The only bad thing is those birds pooping every where

A brisk Tuesday here beats a warm day in the office. Nice trails to explore and everything is marked so you know where you are and the length of your walk. Only downside is the sounds of traffic. Saw a blue Jay and tons of squirrels.
There is a portapotty on site.

Nice small park right on the riverbank. Has a little playground mostly good for the under 10 crowd. Usually isn't packed and offers a lovely view of the river and the downtown skyline.

A nice Park, a little small, but you can do canoeing and have pretty views of Lynchbur from the river.
