Nice beach, clean water.

Avoid this place from 11:30-12:30 weekdays, as the local high school kids congregate, race their engines, do burnouts and race up the side street.
I wonder if they realize there are 2 child daycare places along that street?
They simply don't care, that will all change if they hit someone!

I really loved hearing how this park came to be. The monuments are beautiful and the grounds are well taken care of. I would have liked to see an off leash area for the dogs as there is plenty of space by the parking lot. I would caution people to keep their dogs away from the river as it is a very popular fishing spot. There are bound to be sharp hooks among the river bed.

Small area where you can hike/walk for a good 20mins. We went there around 5:30 and we noticed huge birds resting on the branches of the trees, that might be their home considering the amount of dropping we saw on the ground (I'm not sure what kind). The place is very interesting.

Nice park with great water views.

This historical park is only few streets away from me and i must say that this is the most beautiful park i ever seen. Beautiful Joe has a place in every meaford citizen’s heart. His burial and statue are in the park that holds his name. It also have plates for your little loved pets who passed away as well, if you wish your pet to have one there. You can bring your pet and take a calm walk. The water and trees makes the walk an absolute relaxation. You can also give your respect to Beautiful Joe as i said about his burial. If you wish to know about our Beautiful Joe, there is a book about it called « Beautiful Joe » But dont forget to read the back before to read the book to understand about the location of the story not being the right one but the story is all true.

We stopped by on our way home from Bruce Peninsula.
We saw the water and were drawn by the waves and beauty.
Did not look for bathrooms or any other amenities as we were just passing by.
Enjoy the pictures...

Pelouse et arbustes bien taillés. La vue est magnifique. Avec son stationnement gratuit, ça en fait une belle place pour s'arrêter et faire une marche

Wonderful park and specially very instructive and inspirational to the ones that love dogs and the respect to animals. Congratulations to the Beautiful Joe Heritage Society for keeping the story and this fantastic park.

What started as a lasting tribute to a rescue dog that inspired a book 100 years ago has morphed into an inspiring woodland riverside park in Meaford. Besides Beautiful Joe, the dog whose original owner violently abused, there are beautiful tributes to the dogs of 911, service dogs and police dogs. Unfortunately, the free park is mostly ash trees that are now being killed by the emerald ash borer, so the woods will soon be stark, changing the park dramatically. Even now, I'd be wary of dead limbs. There's a picnic shelter and a portable toilet, no playground.

Excellent park to practice

Beautiful place. If you're passing by, come see it. There is a little beach area, local museum is nearby. You can walk with your dog or have a picnic.

Very quiet and peaceful! Great spot for children!

Our first camping trip! It was a good one, it was super cold for May long weekend! We experienced all seasons in a day. The campground was great. Safe. The campground had frog pond, playground for kids and trails. Kids enjoyed it! Well worth :)

Beautiful clean park lots to see

The park itself is lovely, picnic tables, Pavillion and gorgeous trails...
We went across the road and followed the hiking trail.
It's a 12km loop that usrs some farmers' fields, and road way to connect, but it was a lovely walk all the same.
It's definitely not a trail for strollers or bikes. You should be capable of watching your footing and maintaining personal balance but not difficult either.

It was gorgeous .. even in winter with barely kept trails it was incredible I love nature and outdoorsy spots and this is a fantastic spot.
Different levels of hiking trails makes it a fantastic spot even for newbies..
This was my first time here I will be back . It's beautiful.

This is going to be a controversial post!!!
I live Trout Hollows but how can the Bruce Trails allow such discrimination by allowing no parking by the Trail?
I am a physically challenged and by allowing no parking on a road that had parking allowed till 1 year ago makes this rating useless, if you are physically challenged.

Great place to stop and overlook Georgian Bay. Nice spot for a little water therapy.

The campground offers plenty of space for camping with tents. The whole area is quiet and people are friendly. The owner lady is very easygoing and helpful. My wife fell in love with the place at the first glance, and we had very nice trip for camping and stargazing (you can see the milky way when it is clear and there is little moonlight ). We 110% recommend the place!

We really enjoyed our stay there. The location is great since it allowed us to visit the Bay without having to move. The camping is quiet and we had no neighbors, which gave us some privacy that we enjoyed. Mostly RVs but since we camped during the week, it looked like most people weren't there. Nice trail that we took we the dog.

Sweet little park on the water. No playground equipment for the kids unfortunately, but it's still a nice spot with a small sandy beach.

Small but beautiful park. Beach is nice. Has a kids play area. The sunsets here are really awesome. There were no biting bugs around when I was there.

A beautiful hike, tons of amazing trees, mushrooms, and so quiet. We'll be back!

A Nice Little Park Jewel
We stopped for a brief break on our way to Blue Mountain cave from Bruce Peninsula back in Aug 2021 (and came BACK in Aug 2022). This little park was well kept, with a nice little garden and an awesome view of Georgian Bay. Next time we'll bring our lunch (and we did). We explored the rest of the park. Nice gigantic red Muskoka chairs!

Absolutely beautiful area to take a hike, great fishing especially this time of year. Lots of tall bluffs and cliffs to get some amazing views theres photos are one concession up from the conservation area on Line 7. But the bruce trail goes for a long while im sure there are plenty of great spots to check out!

Walked for a short part of trail. The water is very clear.

This is a nice, clean park with plenty of trees providing lots of shade. The walking trail leads to the river and provides access to the riverbank. There is a pavilion close by to the parking lot which has several picnic tables.
We were given a lovely walking tour by one of the very friendly volunteers who told us all about Beautiful Joe, Canada's most famous dog, and she provided lots of interesting information about all the monuments erected at the park.

Stayed over the Canada Day long weekend and had a BLAST! My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised with a great sized camp site with tree line privacy. There was plenty of activities to do on the campgrounds including a FANTASTIC firework show Saturday night. So much fun! We were greeted by the owners upon arrival and even got the scoop on local attractions. The grounds itself are kept very well, plenty of fields to play in, trails literally steps away, a pool and playground for kids, shower house with lots of privacy, and portajons throughout the grounds that were spotless. I can't run out of amazing things to say about Roebuck! We had such a great trip that we immediately booked our site again for next summer. Thanks guys!

This was our first excursion with the new trailer. Nothing like going out the first time, and everything goes perfect. The camp is clean and quiet. Our site was a nice size, and very private. Being close to home, we will likely make this a home camp when not wanting to venture far. Not a big deal, but would be nice if wi-fi was available throughout the campground, not just at the office.

Great job of cleaning up nature's destruction
. The shore has been remediated and looks great!

Beautiful till my dog stepped on some doushe bag Fishermans pile of hooks he left beside the river. Wont ever be going back there. Where ur shoes and if u take ur pet expect a vet bill

Small area. Not too much of a trail but good for a short dog walk. It has a nice stream

Great trail starting across the road from Beautiful Joe Park

This is a fantastic hike alongside the river. The terrain is varied ranging from easy to pretty challenging. You can do a loop along one.side of the river and back on the other bit set aside the better part of the day to do so.

Great historic area in Grey County. Love walking by the river.

Easy trail... we did the green, easy trail. Beautiful views on the river. Trail is 14 km one-way, and the ruins are at the far end. There is also a moderate trail on the other side of the river, but we couldn't find the trailhead. The ruins are on the other side of the river.

We had a beautiful overflow site right near the pond! It was perfect! Staff are welcoming and so helpful.
Gerry came to ensure we had a good stay. And Harry ensured we got our hydro all hooked up. Great people. We will be back!

Wonderful experience. Gerry and her husband went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure we were comfortable when we arrived to stay the night during our bike packing trip.
We had a beautiful private campsite. The campground is vast with many wide open spaces to enjoy.
The facilities were exceptionally clean. Throughout the campsite there are lovely personal touches for campers to enjoy. For example, a nice Wrought iron
table and chairs set up on a high hill under an maple tree. From here you can see the children play and a view of the lake! Very relaxing!
Highly recommend Roebeuck campground! We will definitely be returning.

We love living beside this beautiful conservation land. Awesome trails on either side of the river that we hike year-round. Beautiful forest and atmosphere if you're looking to get out into nature.

Lovely place to spend a couple of relaxing hours by the water. Small, quiet with a great view.

Great spot to sit and enjoy the sun, surf and breezes. Fun to watch people and their pets romping in the surf. Good place to practice paddle boarding, kayaking or windsurfing (when the wind is up).

Love this park! We visit Meaford regularly. Our daughter loves the playgrounds & I love the sandy/rocky bay beach. It is one of our FAVOURITES to stop at & enjoy no matter the weather. SO CLEAN! We could spend all day picking through the rocks looking for the coolest ones! Great access point to yak too. Close to the main boat port there too. Just wonderful!

Nice little park. The trail through it is lovely. The story behind the park name is a sad but good read. Well maintained, very clean.

Roebuck is a great Family Campground whether you choose to stay for the season or a weekend. The owners are caring , friendly and helpful. Spaces are not crowded but angled to provide a beautiful view no matter what area of the park you are located. There is always something going on to provide entertainment for the young and old. It has a true community spirit. The park is clean and well maintained. Your family pet is welcome in fact it isn’t just dogs but birds also who camp there with owners. It is peaceful in the evening and quiet , the low hum of crackling fires, conversation and laughter of happy campers can he heard. You will drift off to sleep by the sounds of crickets and if you waken during the night you might just be lucky enough to hear the coyotes in the distance. Roebuck is a safe, clean and caring community.

A bit mucky in spring. But a great walk for all ages and a nice trail run. And changes through the year, so different every time you go.
A reminder, always bring a friend. It's not a tricky trail, but things can happen.
