It is a nice, family-friendly park with ample parking, and there is so much to do; however, it can be a little crowded in the afternoon. They have a skate park, swings, different playground areas for various ages,
open fields, baseball fields.
They also have dog waste public cans filled with bags for pet owners. They also have a walking trail, but it leads to a neighborhood

Love the place seems secure and have a variety of areas to play
Watkins park is one of the parks that I visited with my children now their in there mid to upper 30s, it's always clean, and we'll maintained, it a beautiful park all year long. We still come for the holiday lights, but now is with the grandbabies
My daughter enjoys this playground! Progressive play areas. The playground is clean and endless parking.
Beautiful park with paved walking trails, basketball courts, tennis courts and ramps for bikes/skateboarding/roller skating. Awesome themed playground for kids as well. Parking was easy and plentiful.
Very chill, everybody minding their own business, safe to go by yourself, walk your dog, or take your kids to the playground...

The park has tree stumps where little kids would play but it's a nice park.
The park was nice but maybe the home of people who live in their cars. There was a urine smell as you approached the playground area. There were several dog walking families that took advantage of the small concrete walking trail.
A relatively busy dog park, a walking trail, play courts and a playground for the kiddies.
It's a very nice quaint park. It's not real grass and people are not picking up after their dogs. I am not sure if that is because the poop bad dispenser is empty at this time. I always carry bags in my pocket or car so it was no problem. Their is also no real separation between large dogs and small dogs.. their is a sign, but not an actual gate. I have a large dog and the even though she is friendly and socialized, the small dog owners did not want to come in while we were there. I didn't blame them.
We were there for a repast. The place was clean, however it is in need of decent tables and chairs. The restrooms were clean.
Our family used this for our get together twice and both times we've been pleased. Clean and convenient and spacious and peaceful. We'll keep using this park
I had a graduation party here and this is the first time that I had no problem with anything everything was Great !!!!! The door was opened on time it was very clean and I had everything that was in my contact!!!!! I love this place and I will be back!!!!!!!!
I was invited to a gala birthday event at the rec center. Initially I wasn't sure how this was going turn out. BUT HONEY..... it was perfect! The space is open which allows you to be very creative. It has rooms off the main area with a refrigerator and sink and space if needed for catering. There is plenty of parking and areas outside for children to play. It's easy to get to AND you are supporting Prince George's County!!! That's a win-win situation.
Please note the rec center space is like a blank canvas, its empty and must be furnished by you. The rental fee is reasonable and affordable, especially when compared to other facilities.
I highly recommend it for events. I will be renting it for a birthday shower.

a basketball court and overgrown grass... it reminds me of a remote camp site... expect no modern amenities...there is a trash can and most people considerably use it -- which i love to see.
Went here today to celebrate our holiday Eid ul Fitr, the park is nice, the only problem is it can handle a large crowd with parking. My daughter parked a block away on a side street because of not enough parking in the park itself.

Great dog park near Capitol heights, has a playground for kids, benches and bbq grill, and basketball court. Very clean as well
There is a enclosed fence area for Dogs to run in without a leash, along with pooh bags to clean up after your dog. 🤔😉

Excellent! I champion a support small neighborhood parks we children can play and not have to worry. I experienced well-behaved children and the atmosphere conducive to peace and harmony regardless of your visitation or living near by.

Nice idea for a dog park and very much needed in the area and beautiful, but there is no fence to separate the small dog area from the large dog area and there are some pretty aggressive large dogs at times.
Basketball courts, tennis and playground are very nice. I hope to see more parks like this in PG county. Our residents deserve this.

This is a fabulous and a well designed park. Amenities Include a animated feature playground, a nice restroom, basketball court, tennis court, skate park, picnic shelter, baseball field, football/soccer field, bike/walking trail and a parking lot.

Trash not fit for humans or dogs . Close the park and the so call dog park down. Capitol Heights l you should be a shame of yourself . Take a trash bag and a gun if you go there.
This playground is awesome! We had so much fun! Lots of space for shaded picnics, clean bathrooms right near by and great structures for all ages. We can't wait to come in the Summer to try out all the water features! Pro tip: your kids will love doing the scavenger hunt on the sign near the archway. We also stopped at the skate park on the way out to ride scooters. Such a blast!
Park is awesome! I enjoyed it just as much as my 2-year-old.... maybe more. There's nothing like this where I'm from!?! None of the buttons worked but I assume that's because most of the buttons involve spring of water and it's still pretty early in spring to be spraying water all over the place.
This park has really gone down hill. Medium park with picnic area, football field, basketball court and play ground. It was a joy to bring our young children here but for the past couple of months maintenence has been SEVERELY lacking. Slides and swings are filthy. Trash over flowing and everywhere. Maintenence is there however they don't clean. Myself and my sister in law have cleaned the park so that our children and others can have a clean safe area to play.

Great park! Today was our first time at this park and it did not disappoint (except the bathrooms are STILL closed d/t COVID, I suppose). Vivid play structures and lots of inspiration for playing! There is a misting park for the warmer season (not
today, of course). The slides here were great for ALL ages. My kiddo is tall for his age and enjoyed as much as older toddlers. Lots of free parking. There’s a little of everything for the kiddos to explore: monkey bars, slides, ladders, tunnels, bridges, music, and so much more! My kiddo had a blast! Highly recommend and we definitely will be back!

Big and unique fairytale playground. My 4- and 6- year olds loved this place. There are shaded picnic areas inside the park. The mist was turned off, and I imagine it's a welcome respite on hot days. Almost no one was wearing a mask, but it was not very busy and big enough to safely social distance. The bathrooms were also open. After the playground we headed to the skate park which is really big. They have nifty shade and chairs right on the side of the skating area.
Somebody need to clean the play ground from glass and cigarettes tips and trash on the ground where the play area is..

This is a great neighborhood. They really need to put some funding into building a new recreational center. It's very small and over 40 years old
Ample, clean space for your next event. Facilities include: separate restrooms; handicap accessible, tables and chairs on premises; refrigerator and sink (no stove or cooktop); ample free parking. The only grill is located 200 ft from the building. There is no playground for the kids.
Went for a 1year old birthday party. It was spacious and had a kitchen area. Nice location.
Went there for a birthday party last weekend. I liked this location because it has a private playground and basketball court as well as ample parking. This facility had a small kitchen, a separate room with a coat rack and clean restrooms.
The venue was nice but it did not have any items to clean afterwards, so I had to go home and get broom dustpan and other items to use to clean up the facility. Otherwise it was very nice
Great place for the whole family. Playground, football/soccer field, basketball court, tennis court and pavilion. They also have an event space which I have not yet used.
Clean and spacious. Personable and professional staff. Looking forward to attending other events at Millwood Recreation Center
