Nice park. Lots of open space. Baseball parks, playground and plenty of trees. There is even a place to exercise your horeses. Don't fly your drone there. If it has a remote ID, it will disable the drone. IDK if it's due to being close to a school or what.

Really nice playground! Large, well-maintained, and places for both big kids and little kids to have fun. Lots of swings and a variety of things to explore and climb. Pickleball courts and baseball fields adjacent. Walking paths nearby too.

This place is grat... it offers Baseball Fields, Sand Volleyball Courts, Dog park and even Summer Camp for the kids at a reasonable price!
I would have given more stars but my son was disappointed by no basketball court, and the bathrooms have been locked on both visits.
Great ball field close to shopping and dining perfect for double headers!

Great sports facilities and variety of things to do but please do better and clean the bathrooms! Visiting from Mobile, AL, I have seen way cleaner bathrooms in every park than here.

The aquatics center & pools are excellent, and the host team & volunteer parents (and officials) are some of the best.

Our favorite local park! Great playground, beautiful and expansive grassy field throughout. Some trees and picnic tables and grills. There’s also a bathroom that’s always clean.

This is a nice park with well kept bathrooms and charcoal BBQs. There is a basketball court (the rims are double-rims 👎). The tennis courts look nice, I don't play but, they seem well liked. The playground has equipment for bigger kids as well as small kids all with a tall sun sail and bark. There is a baseball diamond and a large field. Great place to take the kids.

Our family has been coming to Horizon park and rec center for many years. Some 5 or 6 years ago we started with art classes, then piano (keys) and yoga for grandma. One year we rented their large auditorium for a kids party using the city website. We were able to set up our equipment and play games. The kids loved walking on the stage and performing impromptu sketches and afterwards we had them run off the sugar on the playground. This facility also has a pickleball court that is generally busy as well as basketball and volleyball courts. Next to the playground and courts is a good size greenspan that could host a small foodball game or bouncy castle for the nearby cabanas. It is a nice facility that is well maintained and has a helpful staff.

Desert Horizon Park is great! It's got lots of open space and cool playgrounds. Perfect for kids to play and have fun. They have benches for parents to relax, too. The park is clean, and there are nice walking paths. I visited with my family, and we had a blast. It's an excellent park for a day of outdoor enjoyment.

A nice quaint park. Great for a dog walk, or playdate with your kids...though watch out, because a Scottsdale Police officer gave me a warning when I had my dog off leash there, north end of the park where its nothing but grass. She told me the Scottsdale "park/recreation ranger" are cracking down on off-leash dogs at this park....Mrs. Officer informed me that the fine is $300-$500. 🙅‍♂️

Cute park, we had a picnic, and the kids loved the playground.
It’s an amazing park nearby. Best place for evening walks, multiple designated pathways with enough exercise n sitting benches on the way. It has huge kids play area with lots of swings n slides. Also there’s a big baseball ground, basketball court. Ample parking spots and enough lights in the evening.

This is a very nice park.
It is small but certainly a great place to take the kids.
What may be small to us is big to little kids.
The park was easy to find and plenty of parking.
I was impressed with how clean the park was and all the equipment was in excellent condition.
I would definitely go back to this park the next time I am in this area.
Nice trails :-), higher elevations require a little more time, patience and
hiking shoes. Great time.

Nice park with shelter house and picnic tables for lunch. Bathrooms are available too. Nice green space for playing catch with a football or frisbee.
Beautiful park. Nice playground. And great fields. Great for a family outing with younger kids. And also great for older with all the baseball and football/soccer fields.
Nice park with sand and tall climbing structures.
Nice, quiet playground with some beautiful 🌵 at the entrance. The playground is covered in sand and has a large sun shade on it.

It is an accessible playground with swings, climbing structures, slides, picnic tables, covered seating options, basketball court, sand volleyball court and a large paved path around the entire park.
Saturdays here are full of soccer games and birthday parties. It's a cute park with a sand area but the rest is covered in wood chips. There are swings, climbing structures and some shaded parts as well as restrooms!

This is a nice small park. Very quiet. The kids had fun on the playground which is geared mainly for children over 5. They can do lots of climbing.
Beautiful private serene quiet neighborhood park across from the golf course. The only two trade-offs I found were a) it didn’t have a place to go to the bathroom or a water fountain and b) none of the trees seemed close enough to tie up a hammock.

This made it seem like they didn’t want to encourage people to stay long and maybe that was intentional because it’s such a private neighborhood asset but if it’s meant to be a public park those features would really help encourage people to use it.
Walking through the park it is difficult to understand if the park is being visited.
It might only be just the ball field which is immaculate. The gate is locked but the dugout is open onto the field on the west and parking to the right. Usually there is some signage but nothing here to indicate if reservations are accepted or needed? Lighting if functional is good. Parking is good with two handi- capped parking spaces
Very clean restrooms and nice little family park

We like sonrisa Park. It's one of the many small neighborhood parks. Never too crowded but plenty to keep the kids occupied for an hour or 2.
Great to sit and enjoy a picnic on the grass. Not too big like other parks in Phoenix, but still has some nice paths to walk. Great to fly a knit

Medium sized park with small parking lot. Less than a minute to 101 or Pima Rd. Traffic is heavy at times. Medium sized playground. Single sand volleyball court. One basketball court. A few Ramadas and pic nic tables. Clean park. Mature trees. Very few people at park on a perfect Saturday afternoon 02/19/21

It’s a cool park to do stuff and things at.

Basketball hoops, tennis courts, soccer fields, & a nice walk path; what’s not to love about this park!

Oh yeah, and a Mountain View is cool too.

Today, I enjoyed an hour of speed walking at Cactus Park. This destination provides light elevation, beautiful greenery, wide lengthy sidewalks (beneficial for brisk walks and bicycle rides), and engine noise varied upon passing traffic. Additional benefits regarding Cactus Park include picnic tables, a fair amount of shade during sunny days, a basketball court, alongside a playground. Hence, I highly recommend Cactus Park!
Great park for kids and even adults. The playground equipment is great and large enough that the kids don't board. There is a full court basketball court, volleyball net and lots of pavilions to sit and eat at. For the adults there is a walking/running path with body weight exercises, to get a full workout in.
Scottsdale redid the field. Much better infield and outfield grass. Artificial mound was weird but OK. First base was placed in foul territory.
Played A LOT of baseball here as a kid. Always liked the field. I can't count how many home runs I was robbed of over the years due to there being no outfield fence. Still, I will always love this place.

Nice stroll! I only had my cell phone, but I saw a flycatcher (name of bird species)! What a beauty! Know my pic is rotten, but he was such a bright beautiful red and pretty song! Definitely felt like a special surprise for my b-day (so ty mother nature). The other two are the doves and grackles enjoying the fresh grass seed. The dove one looks like a blank grass canvas, but there were close to 50 dove❤️

Great location, 4 basketball courts. Plenty of room to bring the family, kids. Nice playground. Large grass fields. Right next to the aquatic center. Plenty of parking spaces.
This park isn't as crowded as others nearby. There are a lot of fun things for young children to play on. There is a memory game for toddlers that was broken. We reported it to city of Scottsdale and it was repaired within 2 weeks. Not bad!!
There's a lot of people playing paddle ball (Covid 19) no mask, standard for Scottsdale.

I love this park. It's clean, has bathrooms, and has a great play ground for the little ones. Not to mention, it's right next to a police station! So we definitely feel safe here. Absolutely love it. One of our favorites for sure.

Pros: Very nice park, not crowded and toilets near the children's playground.
Plenty of space for dogs, parking, barbacues , a lot of tree shadows... it is great
Cons: toilets could be better, the playground light is not enough and only the trees creates the playground shadow, when the sun goes up the children cannot play there

Well lit walkways, regularly maintained park. A few benches for spending some time after the walk, in case you don't like sitting on the grass itself. Good for morning and evening walks alike. A lot of dog walkers in the morning and a few of them in the evening. All in all a good place in the neighborhood for spending some quiet down time with your partner or on your own. Saw an owl and a falcon on separate occasions, other than the standard assortment of birds you see in Phoenix.

Kierland Park grass area consists of approximately 3 football size fields place side by side. Several small trees are scatted around the edge. There are swings and a slide on the west end for a play area for small children. A sidewalk lines the perimeter. Three or four metal picnic tables provide a shady spot to sit. Several nice amenities to be sure, however it's main use is for dogs to run leash free and releave themselves. Well, go see yourself!

Cute little park with lots of activities for kids to do. There's a basketball court, swings, and a bunch of other things I dont know the name of anymore. When I went they were working on the slides, so hopefully they'll be up for you
They have everything here! Sports and playing with friends is easy to do here! Great place for family and friends.

It's a bit too small for my liking, however it is conveniently located in a housing community area- so close walk for those who live nearby. Also, it it is kept very clean.
My favorite part in this park was the one with the rings dangling from the bars (similar to the ones you see in gymnastics), and you can use them to do front flips and back flips.
Just keep in mind- there is very little shade in this park and so during the summer, the slides can be pretty hot.

Live in neighborhood. City of Phoenix doesn't take great care of park. Often uncut grass under picnic tables grows tall, cut up branches leave lots of debris, some sharp sticks, that could hurt children or pets. Tables not cleaned and rusted. Some grass areas get too much water-- soggy ground throughout day, others are dried out and grass dying. It's a gift to have in the neighborhood. But it deserves better care.

Nice park with covered play equipment. Park also has tennis courts, baseball fields, community book sharing box, a fitness trail and access to Indiana bend wash path. Path is beautiful. Excellent for walking, running or bike riding. Also restrooms on site. My only complaint is that the playground equipment needs to be tended to. Some areas have sharp metal edges poking out. I see an accident waiting to happen.

This is our favorite place to go. We hang out in the back section over by the baseball diamond and play fetch with our dogs. There is a leash policy requires all dogs to be on a leash but most people that are just walking around with their dogs have them very well voice controlled and a lot of times have their dog off-leash. This isn't a dog park so just be conscientious of other people out there that aren't used to having dogs around. There are also 2 baseball diamonds and a play area for kids to hang out. There's also on the far side on the corner of 56th and Sweetwater is a horse training facility and every once in a while you'll see the horse and Rider walking around the entire park. It's a very interesting and cool place to go hang out. There are picnic tables throughout the park and other seating over by the play area.

We had a great time at a nice park. 4 stars only because when we got there at 10 a.m. none of the Pavilions had reservations on them so we did not know which Pavilion was ours. The park and rec folks didn't show up until about 10:30 at which time we had already set up for our barbecue including the bounce house. I would have been better if someone hadn't gotten it done prior to the time that we paid for it which was today I am. Ross there's no real issues since none of the armada's had reservations on them.
Nice neighborhood park I grew up with this park in my back yard. This park used to be the neighborhood swimming pool area in the 50's and 60's. I remember riding my bike around the old filled in pool in the early 80's. It has changed quite a bit now my children play there.
Been coaching baseball there for almost 30 years great location well kept fields
Well kept. Nice place to chill or sport.

The views from the hill at this park are beautiful. The playground is great, but needs some updating. The bathrooms are clean, but there are no stall doors. The baseball field is good. There is plenty of space here to picnic, play with your dogs, fly a kite, etc. There is sidewalk that bisects the park and makes for a great strip to let your kids scooter ride or practice bike riding. The parking lot is large. There is a neighborhood horse corral where you will often find some horses getting some exercise.

The park is well maintained and wide open, which is a good thing if you're out to fly a kite, as I was. There is a good size playground with a huge activity feature for kids. There are swings and slides and lots of other kids to play with. There were regulation soccer goals as well. This would be a good choice for a picnic for two or a family reunion for 200. It is nestled in a quiet neighborhood and I didn't notice a deluge of traffic one might encounter near a park this size.

This is a really nice park. Very small and quiet. It has bbq grills for public use and the play equipment is in great condition. The best part is the bathrooms! The restrooms are super clean and really quite nice for public park bathrooms. They have tile floors, a real mirror, sink, real soap, & a functioning hot-air hand dryer. All in all, A+++ for this park City of Scottsdale!!!

My review of Sereno Park: I love seeing a public park that caters to Horse lovers. The west side of the park has hills that cut out the noise of traffic from the road The is a corralled sand field with jumping equipment there and another large open sand field near by for Equestrians. The ground squirrel holes made me nervous. The east side borders a school. There is a large parking lot in the center of this park where you can find decent bathrooms and a sand filled playground. I loved the train themed play equipment. There is a baseball field that is recessed down in the ground to give some shade there. A cement walkway cuts straight through the park from the parking lot to the road on the North border. There are picnic tables under some of the trees and a few barbecue grills near by. All in all a very nice park.
Grew up right down the road from this park and spent tons of time here!! Great memories as a child. The park was remodeled in the last year and looks great, the basketball hoop was finally replaced too. A great little park hidden within the neighborhood.

Great park for kids, soccer, picnics, & dogs. There's a playground, the water fountain is by the playground; there's a lot of trees with shade, several picnic tables. It's very clean here. No bathrooms.
Very well kept lawn and a decent baseball field, but the play structures off in the corner by the parking lot are meant for very young kids and is not very big. Overall, a great park, especially for your dogs. There's a nice pickle ball court there as well. It's rather populated with people and their dogs early in the morning.
